This + your other videos honestly makes me feel less ashamed that these type of "movie games" made up a fairly large part of my very young childhood, seeing as...well, obviously, it was my parents buying the games they thought I would enjoy (and I had no clue about any popular games like "FF7" or "DMC" until much, much later, so not that I could make any particular requests either). And...hey. I enjoyed a lot of these games too! A lot of them weren't actually that bad at all! Your love for these games makes me love my funny old games too now (:

Genuinely glad that you could feel this way thanks to my videos! Never be ashamed of your gaming origins! I've had a similar experience + not being a native speaker, it's not like I could've really played a lot of the "real" games at the time. I only got into mainstream gaming once I was in my teens. Revisiting these experiences can help getting in touch with who you were back then and even if you only got to play the worst of shovelware as a kid, there is no shame in that! Cheers!

Yeah people shit on those game too much, i remember playing so many movie games as a kid specially toy story 3 for the psp. It was so fun trying to try and 100% the game

Buzz Lightyear to the Rescue is one of a small suite of games that has a mythic status of nostalgia in my brain. Played it at just the right age that I was able to fully engage with it, but everything also was mindblowing when I encountered it. I remember being absolutely terrified of some of the bosses, especially the ones that would chase after you (the robot toy and jackhammer). And MY GOD, the music.

Same feelings here. Also the Kite boss and Trash Can Goo monster gave me nightmares as a kid. I remember feeling really unnerved by the penthouse and airport levels. Something about the quiet soundscape and serious grey surrounding was so jarring from the bright and colorful levels before them.

Potato Head hoarding all the power ups until Buzz helps his couch potato ass is entirely in character.

ive said this to many people but this channel's is genuinely my favorite animation style

HELL YEAH WALL-E PS2, bruh that game is not only a "good movie game" but a legit great game on it's own. The first person laser carving gameplay segment in the shipyard on Earth later coming back when you cut Eve out of the massive trash cube in the Axiom's dump is fantastic game design. The only problem I have with it are the unskippable cutscenes. That, and the Axiom levels really creeped me out as a kid, especially the really long Repair Ward one and the dump where you have to get parts to repair Eve. Also, holy shit that RC controller, I still have that programmable WALL-E in my closet.

If Ratatouille for the PC from 2007 has one hundred fans, I'm one of them. If it has one fan, I'm that one fan. If it has no fans, I'm dead. I don't care that it changes or completely cuts significant story beats, I will declare my love for this game until I die

I only ever see people playing or talking about the non-PC versions, and I'm just like: "Bruh, you could be doing a lot better."

i love when artists decide to turn into "i like to talk about this thing" channels cause we get to see little gems of animation or art being included in the vids for jokes or just to further enhance the viewing experience. uricksaladbar also comes to mind for this. anyway i loved the little animations u made for this video

An interesting point about Wall-E is that the part where the protagonists get thrown into the Axiom's dump, instead of Eve having to repair Wall-E, it's the opposite, just like in the deleted scenes.

Seeing a bunch of low-poly Pixar characters in the thumbnail let me know I was in for a good video. Seeing Buzz' low poly face a second time fired a neuron in my brain and flooded my consciousness with forgotten memories of Toy Story platforming. Love your videos by the way. Your style is super entertaining, and I'm always interested in the video topics you choose.

I first played the Incredibles game at a friend's, then it got it myself. The "Zut alors!" voice line from the first level's enemies still plays in my head from time to time. And yeah, I remember that boss in the volcano being pretty challenging.

Man, I'm lucky I grew up with Wall-E and two of the Incredible games (the first one and the Rise of the Underminer). You can tell it's the same devs who did these games, especially when they added that little easter egg in Wall-E where you replace the music of his music player with one of the soundtracks in Rise of the Underminer.

i love that you animated woody falling at 5:26 almost the same way he was falling in toy story 2 when he had the nightmare after ripping his arm

The only experience I have with the Toy Story 2 game is that TF2 deathrun map, and Im weirdly sentimental for it when I see the actual gameplay for it

Fun Fact: The reason the music in The Incredibles game manages to sound so stylistically similar to the film is because the film's composer, Michael Giacchino, actually composed for the game as well as its sequel, Rise of the Underminer, and the Lego Incredibles game. He actually got his start composing for video games as far back as the SNES and Genesis days before expanding to films and television.

I like that in the Wall-E movie, he only used a gun in self defense (to “save” Eve), and then in the game he just shoots up the place.

When I was a kid I was 3 when I saw the incredibles movie and left crying in the first couple minutes, apparently. Also bought the ds game a long time after, and had some weird gameboy incredibles game.

I love how these kinds of games always had a shop/secret menu to find bunch of concept art and other fun stuff to use during levels

I didn't even know the Toy Story game was supposed to run faster... I think this made the game easier. And also HELL YEAH THE COLOR MIXING MINI-GAME 4:57! Those videos are great, can't wait for part 2! The Incredibles game is a sour memory for me. I remember reading all about it, seeing it in gameplay videos and after blackmailing my parents into buying it for me I got to hug it and keep re-reading everything on the box (it used to come in those big boxes too) on the ride home, just to later find out that there's a difference between DirectX 9.0 and DirectX 9.0c. Never got it to run and we had to refund it. But - since that incident I became very interested in how PCs work and what makes games work on them so it motivated me to keep tinkering with PCs as a child : )

I hope youre having fun making it all as well. look forward to more. this is a bit of a tangent and doesn't mean much, but game ratings aren't based on game difficulty- but are just like movie ratings where it's just based on the content of the game. I was also curious as to why the incredibles game would be T, when I figured it only had at worst cartoon violence, which from what i remember makes a game go to E10+. Turns out that the E10+ rating was added in 2005, a year after the game came out. And yeah the game was rated T because of cartoon violence.

I barely remember the Wall-E PC game but at the same time it’s a very vivid “barely remember”, like I won’t be forgetting it anytime soon I played it at a friend’s house and was far too young to make any progress but I probably enjoyed it, thanks for talking about it here and allowing me to see the rest of the game

DUDE i absolutely loved The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer. I used to play it a ton on the gamecube with my cousin. We didnt have a storage card with space so we would just start a new file every time. Better sequel story than Incredibles 2
