The Eli & Elm looks perfect. Will have to give it a try on my next pillow purchase. I like I could adjust if needed.

I already have the Eli & Elm and it's awesome, but I really like that Saatva pillow with both latex and down alternative, but favorite materials of mine.

I really like the Tempur Cloud Breeze and the Purple Harmony. I love Cloud Breeze for that memory foam feel that i love so much and the outside layer of cooling gel to keep you cool all night. I also love the Harmony because its made of a solid slab of talalay latex with ventilated holes to keep you cool. Its kind of nice that the whole pillow is wrapped in a thin layer of their hyper elastic polymer material. I would be happy with either of these two great pillows. I just wish they were more affordable

I really thought I would likely go with the Tempur-Pedic because I really tend to like the feel of memory foam, but Sarah really sold me on the Eli and Elm Organic Side Sleeper. I'm loving the ergonomic design and the fact that the fill is adjustable so I can make it as lofty as I like. Thanks so much for these great side sleeper reviews!

After trying tons of pillows this weekend, the Cariloha Flex was the one. Side sleeper I am, and loved it. Soft and kinda firm at the same time.

I would honestly love to feel and try all of these pillows! BUT, if I had to choose, I would pick out the Eli and Elm, Luxe down and Layla. Great selections, and I love the reviews!

The Eli & Elm looks sweet and the shredded insides lets you customize it. I was surprised at the Purple pillow as it looked better than what I would have imagined.

I'm a side sleeper but can move around as well. I like all the options here but my 1st choice would be the Saatva. It sounds amazing! The Eli and Elm also sounds comfortable and the other one I would like to consider would be the Tempur Pedic memory foam pillow because I love that it comes with a cooling gel layer on both sides.

That birch pillow looks great! I feel like as a combo sleeper I don't want something too big. The purple looks so gimmicky to me but I could be wrong.

I really like the Eli & Elm pillow for the shape that let's a person's shoulder lay on the mattress rather than on the pillow. My shoulder hurts now and then from it laying on the pillow when I'm on my side. The Eli and Elm has a nice soft cover and plenty of loft that makes me think it would be great for me.

The Saatva pillow looks best for me as I constantly turn all night due to back problems and sometimes even place my pillow between my knees to provide better ease of pain.

I'm a side sleeper and I have a tempur pedic ☁️ mattress, so I end up sinking into my mattress. I bought the tempur pedic cooling pillow because I sleep hot. Unfortunately for me it's too lofty so my head ends up being very high from my mattress. I appreciate that you've tested all these different brands! I am overwhelmed though, help? ​@@Lisa-rh3zr fully agree got a similar pillow with the foam stuffing's, nice idea but its a gimmick, you can reshape it but who wants to do that nightly? and it still sinks in half way in the night giving a sore neck.

I think I like the luxe for side and back sleeping, i.v never had a tougher pillow so I don't no what it'd feel like

I feel so spoiled ...thank you for these, its a tough choice between the Purple Harmony Pillow for every night use or the Layla Kapok Pillow for when my shoulder pain is acting up but they are all great pillows. I’m a little upset because I’m looking for a nice side sleeper pillow for side sleepers and was interested in the Eli and elm but they don’t come in king and same with the harmony pillow. Those were my top 2 picks.

I would love a personal recommendation! Tried to Eli & Elm side sleeper and liked it but didn’t love it. Currently trying the purple harmony pillow, and again I like the pillow but not sure right now if it’s the one for me. I did however originally order the 6.5” and may order the 7.5” to see if that makes a difference. What would you recommend?

Ah great, now I'm getting pillow and matress adds. Y'know what, that's better than what I was getting before.

I've not thought about investing in a good pillow. I may try the Layla or the Eli and Elm.

Kapuk/Kapok is considered as inferior when it comes to pillow fill in my country. I remember sleep in kapok filled when I was kid, it was uncomfortable and I think that's why I got allergy. It is more durable than cotton, but as pillow fill it so heavy and the fill can actually gotten out from the cover and not really hygiene (cause you can't wash it, you can but it will dilapidated)

Quick question, I see you list other pillows that would be good to sleep with an arm under, but is the Eli & Elm comfortable to sleep with an arm under as well?

Just ordered the Eli Side Sleepers, they have a 45 day trial so yeah, spendy, but worth a try. My neck is killing me.

How would you compare the Avacado pillow to the Birch pillow for side sleepers? I have some neck and back pain and always sleep on my side. Thanks!!

Have you heard of or tried any pillows with cutouts for the side of your face? Two pillows are the Juverest and sleep and glow pillow, and I think both are $160. Seem very interesting

I have curly hair and rely on my satin pillow case to keep my hair frizz free. I’m also a side sleeper with crazy neck and shoulder pain due to currently sleeping on the wrong pillow. I sweat, I turn on my back and I get about 6-7 hours of sleep a night. If I consider a pillow with cooling capabilities will my satin pillow case hinder that capability? Thanks!!

I need a good recommendation. I've been using a Layla for the past 2 years and have honestly hated it. I usually sleep in the bottom corners of my pillow and Layla struggled to hold it's shape. The filling always pushed backward leaving me with no support. So for a recommendation, I want something that will hold its shape and loft, but without feeling like I'm being sucked into the pillow (like Layla). I keep seeing the Pillow Cube and that seems enticing. I also don't want to spend more than $100. Thoughts?

I didn't have good luck with the Layla Kapok pillow. they even sent me more filling but I couldn't stop it from flattening out. I do have very broad shoulders and weigh 275 lbs but it just didn't work for me i'm thinking of trying the Purple Harmony pillow.

I’ve tried so many. Always stiff neck Ugh. I want to try temper but no returns kills me.

Which would you recommend for me...I’m a 6’6” 205# male average build. I’m split between the Layla Kapok or the Coop Home Goods Original with maybe some extra fill. Currently sleeping on a Purple Harmony high loft, it’s decent but not great. Thanks!

So I got a question, I really like the Eli and elm pillow but I’m allergic to latex. I get a rash on the area of contact. Is the case going to protect me from the latex or am I going to have to replace the filling?

Hi Sara What would I go for if I tuck my arm under the pillow? I would say I am between side and stomach sleeper somthing in between(I sleep on my side but tend to lean on to my stomach a bit) There are pillows marketed as arm pillows with an arm hole or a tunnel. Any thoughts on my condition. The neck and shoulder pain is horrible! I'v tried tempur pillows and down pillows

Thank you for these pillow choices. I am looking for a new pillow to replace an old reliable in the tempurpedic comfortpillow which I would buy again if it wasn’t only available as a travel version. I also sleep on my side more than my back now because of a previous medical issue so I am looking for comfort. What would you say, based on the video, is the best choice. I will also say the harmony has been tried but did not work.

Hey there - Can you tell me what you didn't like about the Purple Harmony? If you prefer a moldable memory foam feel, definitely check my full Tempur-Pedic pillows review. The TEMPUR-Neck, in particular, might suit you best now that you're strictly side sleeping, but there are some great options for back and side sleepers as well!

Sleepopolis when I took the purple out of the box I liked the feel of it even though the checkered pattern was slightly distracting. It with a pillow case I was fine. When it came time to lay down, my major issue was the height. I felt like I was bending my neck awkwardly and with other issues and anxiety, my throat flared like I was constructing my airwave. So I stopped immediately and went back to my old comfortpillow. I double checked the dimensions of it to see why I had an issue and my tempurpedic measured 25 x 18 x 3 so I think firm memory foam with a low profile is what I’m searching for now

Bear Pillow no longer in your top side sleepers - is the Tempur-Pedic that much better?

How long will the layla pillow last. From what I remember reading is that the pillow would only last for six months. And how long will the tempurpedic pillow and bedding last without softing. I'm wondering out of all these pillows which memory foam pillow would last longer than a year. Out of the Eli pillow, birch, and luxe down which pillow would relieve pressure better for neck and back pain. Oh and the nectar pillow didn't make this list I guess. But I'm also wondering how long the nectar pillow would last for. Are nectar pillows worth buying.

I’ve had a Layla for about two years. I’m a tall, broad shouldered guy with chronic neck pain who only sleeps on my side. For the last several months the pillow doesn’t have enough loft. I’ve tried fluffing it every night and putting it in the dryer with a tennis ball (recommended by Layla). Doesn’t hold through the night. Layla won’t send me refill to increase the loft. I’m open to suggestions and new pillow options.

I’m a stomach sleeper but will sleep on my side or back in my sleep. I literally have spent years trying to find a pillow that doesn’t hurt my neck. I get migraines a lot because of my neck. I still have not found a pillow. I noticed I sleep better with more flat pillows but not too flat. If I find a good pillow it ends up deflating quickly and being garbage. But I can’t do puffy or hard pillows. *sigh*

Hi my kid has asthma so my doctor suggested to make him sleep on slanted pillow since the angle on the pillow allows his breathing but he is a side sleeper can u suggest any pillows of that kind??

I love my Eli & Elm!! I cannot sleep without it anymore. My only wish is that they offer a pillow cover to fit their unique shape. Saatva's dual fluffy and foldable design is very intriguing. Purple Harmony Pillow also sounds good. Layla may be a bit too lofty. Thanks for the interesting review!

@@michelletsf Hello Michelle! I am currently using my oversize towel and wrap around the pillow so that I can just wash the towel for time to time. I actually contacted the company a while back and asked about the matching pillow case. Here is the response I received: "We are in the process of offering separate pillow cases for sale on our site. Unfortunately we likely won't be launching them anytime soon. Be sure to check back in the next coming months as we do continue to add and improve our products". I do hope they will produce pillow cases to fit because I really love the pillow!

Hey Sarah, looking for a personal pillow recommendation. I'm a side sleeper and recently got a soft mattress which I'm enjoying, but because I sink into the mattress more my previous favorite pillows are now too thick. I used to favorite cheap polyester/gel pillows, down or shredded fill pillows tend to shift all the filling to the ends of the pillow in my experience. I tried the Layla pillow but had to remove quite a lot of filling to get it low enough, and I wasn't a fan of the weight/slow response. Any recommendations? Thanks so much! :)

I'm with you, Paul! A feather/down pillow on top of a polyfil pillow for under my head (side sleeper), a dense polyfil pillow between the knees/legs, and a dense polyfill in the small of my back. It really is a nice cozy feel and gives lots of support.

I wanted to order the avocado green pillow but it says it ships in 5 to 6 weeks. I am not patient enough to wait that long on a pillow. What other pillows are soft like that and adjustable that do not require ridiculously long wait times like avocado?

Im leaning towards the Layla pillow for acid reflux. Its thicker I won't need 3 pillows anymore. Or thats what Im hoping for.

Hi. Looking for a pillow recommendation. First, I’ll say I’ve watched a bunch of your videos all of which were really helpful. I’m a side sleeper so naturally I’d want a loftier and firmer pillow. I’d want something that doesn’t get too hot as well. Also, I tend to sleep towards the edge of the pillow and find that the filling often shifts to the rest of the pillow leaving me a very low loft. I thought the Purple Harmony might be good but want to hear your thoughts. Lastly, do you think that a new pillow could help with lower back pain or is that more of a mattress issue? I am planning to get a TemperPedic mattress topper. Thanks

I'd say go with your gut and try the Purple Harmony. The pillow miiight help with back pain, but that's usually more of a mattress support issue

Help! Where can I buy the Layla Kapok pillow in Canada? Looks like the one for me but $80+ shipping from the US is holding me back.

Do you have to remove the filling from the Eli and Elm pillow in order to wash the outside cover? If so does the filling coming in a separate zipper case or do you need to pull it and leave a messy pile of filling lying around until the cover is clean?

Great question and, yes, unfortunately wash care for this pillow is a bit of a hassle. You have to remove all the filling before you can wash the cover by itself. What I like to do (this is the pillow I have at home) is store all the internal fill in a separate bag (I use a garment bag that my sheets came in, but any bag will do) until the cover is ready to be filled up again!

Have you tested the sorta two pack, $16 at Ross?
