He speaks English, and sometimes he does pause or skip a few things, but when he speaks, you can hear the passion wanting to burst out. I love that. Hope to come to Barcelona one day.

Every single local in Barcelona has been to El Tomás. They really are that good.

I thought it was overrated until I found myself ordering one every time I went to the bar. It's addictive trust me! [PS - €3 for a single portion of olive oil fried patatas...I'm sold even more]

It's just nothing. Like all oils, olive oil is just an oil. On the other hand: just a guy who fries potatoes in a place you are not from. Potatoes are fried. Garlic sauce is nice tho.

I always get on well with Catalans and Spanish. Respect, politeness and some humour and you will get it back 10x. They are so patient with tourists. I think Irish people get on with Southern Europeans a lot. We really like to enjoy life.. and party

something for the vegetarians : ) and since youtube deletes my comments to replies to this, i need to edit this one to include my response to one of the replies: to respond to the person who said "you might want to research bio-availability of plant based proteins ....." i responded by saying "you might want to google the words "Patrik Baboumian" and rethink that statement oh, and rice farming is worse for the planet than "tofu" farming (tofu farming, lol ok) and POTATO farming in particular is one of the least environmentally destructive staple food sources on earth AND one of the most resistant to human caused climate change, unlike the endangered rice. it is the food of the future, literally so, yay potatoes!

Fried in olive oil. That's the difference. Most places fry in neutral oils so there's no taste added. Olive oil tastes good. No one else does it because it's so damn expensive

That's what I thought. Also chips and spicy gravy, we used to get this from burger vans years ago. I had chunky chips and mayo or gravy for the first time in Belgium 50 years ago. Yeh... in olive oil.. tasty, but would be just as tasty in beef dripping/tallow.

From my experience in Madrid, these were usually free or very cheap. They'll be a few Euro you'd hope which is still cheaper than chip shop chips that generally suck
