How long after the discover it and savor one should I get a chase freedom flex?

I’ve had a Discover card for 2 years and a credit score in the 750’s. Just yesterday I got an Amex card for groceries. I’m also interested in getting a Citi card but I don’t want to apply for 2 cards in a short period of time if it will hurt my score. Should I wait for a while before applying for another card?

I would call Chase and request the downgrade the day after your 48th statement date, and apply for the new CSP as soon as the downgraded card is in my hand

Ramsey only invests in mutual funds, and looks for returns of around 12%. That's his thing, but I prefer a diversified portfolio, some mutual funds, ETFs and other assets like art

Try for 6 months so you stay under 5/24. It'll probably take you at least 3 months to hit the SUB on your last card anyway.

Anyone know if I can turn my chase preferred to the older freedom card? And get a new bonus on the preferred or reserve?

Chase is ending the PP as of July 2024. Huge nerf to that card with the same AF.

Only the restaurant benefit through PP; PP itself will stay. You will still have access to airport lounges in the PP network, as well as their growing Sapphire network of lounges

Yes but there are some data points where people got approved while above 5/24. Typically this happens if they are promoting the business cards but some data points still got them without a promotion. Those people typically have a business account and/or other relationships with chase though

Hey man I make around 28k a year im 19 and I don’t have any previous credit history at all. I’m thinking of going the capital one secured route to get started but I would prefer not to go secured what do you recommend?

I got the Discover secured card to start and it was a great way for me to begin. Really simple. Even though it’s secured you don’t have to put a ton of money down and you get it back in 12 months.

You will need to be under 5/24 to get a Chase biz card, but once you have the card the account doesn't count towards your 5/24 status.
