Cool idea. Blocking the airflow to that radiator might not make it overheat necessarily, but it will cause a squared off hot spot to occur over time on the radiator. Used to see it where people would have their license plate mounted on their grill. The cores inside would get way to hot and fuse together, just in that section where air was restricted. Hence, higher probability of cracking/leaking and at the very least, being less efficient. Happy trails🤙

Exactly what I was looking for 5 months ago. So much space behind that grill.

What about washing the truck? Does it affect the compressor or its components?

Does the arb manifold come with the arb compressor?

Hopefully the truck doesn't over heat in the desert

There's plenty of airflow. We had had this setup on 2 trucks before this video and no overheating with all the trails and long drives in Moab last summer.

why not go dual battery up front right corner and compressor in rear?

I mounted mine on the Slee Offroad on the driver side. I plan on putting extra battery on passenger side on my 4R. In NY the winter snow melting salt would kill that thing fast.

My concern if 90° piece is used it could snap hose swinging around .manifold mount seems mounted more solid

Can you make one for the single? I have my compressor mounted in the bed cubby with the expedition essentials bracket and it’s a terrible design. I’ll bet we could mount the compressor where you did and then re-route the compressor intake to behind the headlight so it avoids oncoming dust. Having the intake directly in front of the radiator is asking for problems when you drive behind someone on a dirt road.

I use my bed space and would rather not slide stuff into it. If you have a 2019+ you lose your driver side cubby hole so that option is out

Different, but in front of the radiator and directly exposed to water? Traveling in a good rain storm will soak it. How's it holding up? Checked the air filters lately?

This might be a dumb question, but what is that air compressor used for?

Compressors like this are used to activate differential lockers. Differential lockers lock the left and right axles at each differential to greatly improve traction. One wheel doesn’t slip more than the other when lockers are engaged. The compressor is also used to add air back into the tyres after deflating them for better traction.

Bro please provide installation video I've had this thing for months but i want to be able to install it correctly and came with no instructions whatsoever,

nice but in AZ that would not fly, in my 2019 Tacoma dealership had to install a fan right there to push more air through while idling. If not, the AC would stop blowing cold.
