    Extra virgin coconut oil, vitamin e, tea tree, Jamaican black castor oil. These help me so much especially with dry itchy scalp. I love how informative you are. Research is key and you never stop learning! Thank you!

    This was a great summary of information. I have been having such sad dry scalp and recently discovered pure mustard seed oil. I love it. I use it and I love the tingling sensation. My locs shine and my hair gulps it up. Most importantly, my scalp is no longer flaking and I can go at least 8 days before I decide to wash and I appreciate that. Smell is not intense and long lasting. Thank goodness. Well done!

    Great video sis! I use an EO water mix and then rub a light coat of veggie glycerin on my locs. Locks in moisture and smells great. I live in GA and it gets HOT so the veggie glycerin works really well.

    Please look at the ingredients on those products. Unless they went natural, there’s a lot of chemicals and toxic ingredients in their products. The wax causes buildup and attracts lint. Try my joie gel on amazon natural with nice hold ☺️

    Hi👋🏾💜🙋🏾‍♀️ new subscriber and new Loc’r 🌱🔒💜 I never knew we couldn’t add essential oils straight to the scalp. Good to know and thanks for this video. So how would I use my essential oils and carrier oils? Do I mix them? My moisturizing oil can I just apply it straight to my scalp?

  • @naturalbeauty0214

    @naturalbeauty0214

    3 жыл бұрын

    yes you want to mix them together. use more carrier oils and just a few drops of essential oils. Moisturizing oils can be applied to the scalp if they are carrier oils.

    I use Jamaican castor oil. I do an ACV rinse then a hot oil. I was doing it like every two weeks but I thought I was getting build up so I stopped. Can castor oil cause build up in locs??

  • @naturalbeauty0214

    @naturalbeauty0214

    5 жыл бұрын

    Castor oil is a penetrating oil meaning that it immediately starts to seep into you hair and scalp. However, too much of anything isn't good. You could always mix with a lighter oil to see if that helps.

  • @SatrilRose

  • @naturalbeauty0214

    use very light oils for retwisting. Again you want to build an oil mix that is more helpful for your locs.

    Coconut oil can leave residue on your locs so I say away from it. Any oil that turns into a solid form in the cold weather really. I like pure olive oil or pure grape seed oil as they are thin and don’t clog my pores. Essential oils don’t really do much for me.
