    @@VandalXXIis it petty to find a sound annoying? I have autism. One thing that is very common with autism is hypersensitivity. I get insanely anxious with certain sounds, the feeling of constant wind is uncomfortable, I can't walk near a candle isle without feeling light headed. And it's worse for other people. Just because something bothers your senses, that doesn't make it petty.

  • @VandalXXI

    @VandalXXI

    6 ай бұрын

    @@ElijahForLong Maybe. But just because something bothers you, doesn't mean you have to publicly state it. I'm not sure where Colby is from, but maybe it is from California? He can't help where he's from and what he sounds like anymore than you can help having autism. You're free to not like whatever you don't like, but you're also encouraged to keep it to yourself when it does no good to vocalize.

  • @ElijahForLong

    @ElijahForLong

    6 ай бұрын

    @@VandalXXI sure but, that doesn't make the dislike itself petty. And even so, the subject matter of the video relates specifically to people not liking his voice, which though strange, is perfectly appropriate in this scenario. Plus, it's the comment section of the video. Most KZreadrs nowadays don't even read their comment sections. The comments are more for the other viewers than the creator. Viewers who might share your viewing experience. Saying "this is why Colby's voice bothers me" on a KZread video is a lot different than direct message saying "Colby, your voice bothers me." What that other person said is not an attack on Colby, it's an example of a topic addressed in the subject video. It's contributing to the discussion. Either way, Colby clearly doesn't take these kinds of comments seriously, and he even says that the comments that are problematic he ignores.

    Im not gonna lie, I normally dont watch the outtakes. I very often will return to your videos and look up specific builds or specific times of your videos that help me go back to find what a better spell would be to use or a good combat mechanic to do the most damage, get the right spell, etc. and then i close the video out. That being said, sometimes i rewatch the whole video to get myself in the mindset of playing an entire build or character, and then your outtakes come on. To me, it's a surprise every time because it's like a treat. It's similar to a musical number or one of those old pixar movie endings where you get a laugh from something that didn't need to be there but was. So please continue the outtake because it's not only a treat but a delight to not only have your videos be informative but also funny. Keep up the videos, Colby! Happy New Year. I always roll for stats, never really SUPER optimize but I do really like seeing how things can work together to make it stronger than the sum of their parts! I am playing an inspired build from the battlefield commander, though (currently Fighter 5 and Cleric 2) and I never would have thought about doing a lot of the build if not for the video!

    New subscriber here. I dabbled in DnD as a kid because my dad played it, but recently through the wonderful bg3, my interest in DnD and its mechanics have skyrocketed. Found your channel while hunting for build guides (currently working on making the fighter/sorlock build from your multi-class video) I love your energy and I love your attitude dude. It's made this journey a lot less intimidating. Cheers mate!

    First off, your voice is delightful. And second, while you do take a while to get to the core of things you're the only creator where I don't skip the add read. You genuinely have interesting sponsors and they are never the same one week after week so I'm always curious. Plus, see my first point ;)

    Honestly, your optimized build guides have been a godsend. I didn't grow up playing DnD. My only exposure, if you will, was BG:Dark Alliance. My character was a spellcaster running into combat with a staff. In my defense, I was young. Your guides really helped me understand how to build characters and what parts of the builds mean. You really made something overwhelming (for a newbie) so approachable. Thank you!
