Only skaters understand how difficult what he’s pulling off is. Not just landing it, but having to do so on the first try with the pressure of the world watching is insane.

A dream come true for Yuto, I loved watching all the skateboarding events but this one was special as it was the first one, and this first ever skateboarding Gold for Yuto was so fitting in his home town Olympics! おめでとう Omedetō !

I can only describe his skating as deeply satisfying

I am maddly in love with Japan!!! I felt so sad because of the empty scenaries at the olympic games but I am so happy that they could deal with that and make a wonderful journey for the athletes. 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵

I didn't manage to catch the whole coverage, so I'm not sure if this is true for the other skateboarding items in the Olympics but... The commentators seem to have almost ZEERO substantial thing to say about the actual tricks? They're mostly giving athlete narratives, not commentating or giving the audience any analysis at all?
