That's classical music, it is the only kind of music the moth of time cannot destroy, because it's divinely inspired by God. All other kinds of music, apart from classical and Hymns will only last for a certain period of time no matter how many generations may enjoy listening to it but it will pass whilst classical music will always be liked and loved by generations yet unborn.

My world is surrounded by pop music, reggae, rock n roll, Zook Machine and many more. However this is the most wonderful, graceful, and extraordinary music I have ever admired and heard in my entire life. It helps me to think clearly, it relieves me from stress, heartache, and headache. It heals my wounded broken spirit and now I am happy more than ever. It is now the music of my choice.

From the book The Spiritual Lives of the Great Composers: George Frideric Handel (1685 - 1759) ‘A servant of Handel swings the door open to Handel’s room. The startled composer, tears streaming down his face, turns to his servant and cries out, “I did think I did see all Heaven before me, and the great God Himself.” Handel had just finished writing a movement, which would take its place in history as the Hallelujah Chorus.’ Handel became a ransomer for other debtors in prison. One of his biographers declared: Messiah… has fed the hungry, clothed the naked, fostered the orphan… more than any other single musical production in this or any country. Lord Kinnoul once congratulated him on his fine performance, to which Handel replied: My lord, I should be sorry if I only entertained them. I wish to make them better. Haydn, Bach, Mozart and Beethoven all considered Handel the greatest composer ever and they said: He is the master of us all.” Haydn about Handel Handel is the greatest composer that ever lived. Beethoven about Handel And when he referred to an edition of Handel’s works he said: “There is the truth.” [Handel] is the only person I would wish to see before I die, and the only person I would wish to be, were I not Bach.” (Bach about Handel) To which Mozart exclaimed: Truly, I would say the same myself if I were permitted to put in a word. But what was Handel’s response to all this adulation? In 1759, whilst receiving a rapturous ovation after his last performance he cried out: Not from me… but from Heaven… comes all.” And as he was nearly blind and ailing he expressed his desire that he would die on Good Friday “in the hope of rejoining the good God, my sweet Lord and Saviour, on the day of His resurrection”. He died on Easter Saturday. Handel is buried in the graveyard of Westminster Abbey next to another Christian, the writer, Charles Dickens. Above his grave are the words: “I know that my Redeemer liveth.”

How this does not have more views is beyond me! Mozart said “Handel understands affect better than any of us. When he chooses, he strikes like a thunder bolt.” On the other hand, to Beethoven he was “the master of us all… the greatest composer that ever lived. I would uncover my head and kneel before his tomb”. I've always considered Handel top 3 IMO. Such beauty and honesty in his master pieces.

Handel's music fills my soul with exuberance, solitude and spiritual awareness. In my opinion his compositions are perfectly suited for me and how I hear the world around me. His music cuts through the ugly noise of present day music and the culture that has evolved from those who cannot hear, see or feel.

Hear what Handel said about his own music and what other greats said about him from these excerpts from the book The Spiritual Lives of the Great Composers: George Frideric Handel (1685 - 1759) ‘A servant of Handel swings the door open to Handel’s room.

It's George Frideric Handel, and that's the way Handel spelled it. Some people want to sound "intellectual by spelling it differently. That concept would never have cut it with my first grade teacher. Haha.
