I was 11 when this movie came out. My dad was a born again Christian and becoming a pastor and always lecturing me but we watched this movie together and I never seen my dad laugh so much in my and up until he passed away, my dad was a ghetto vet and never forgot his upbringing and where he came from. This movie is not just one of my favorites but holds sentimental value to me cause the bond we shared through this movie

Bullies like Deebo aren't the smartest guys in the world. But guys like Deebo almost always get what's coming to them, and it's seldom from someone you would think it would be. What happens is, bullies push people like Red too far and the bullies don't realize that they've gone way past overboard and that the people they are bullying have replaced their fear with anger. Red might not be tough, but after you push him so hard for so long, eventually Red doesn't have anything to lose and he's not afraid anymore and he pulls out a knife when Deebo has it back turned and shoves it through his throat.
