Cursing is an art mastered by a few selected actors. Al Pacino is one of them.

I wish there could be a movie where Tony Montana and either Nicky Santoro/Tommy De Vito had a heated confrontation just to see who was the more hot headed of the 2 and would lash out first 😆. I regret that: A) Pacino and Pesci didn't get more screen time together in the Irishman outside of that 1 scene B) They didn't work together prior to the Irishman
Take a shot every time Al said Cocksucker in the Irishman
i still don't understand how this man played michael corleone in the godfather
@MOON-ht7xk

@ElCalamar_
3 жыл бұрын
MOON 16 because michael corleones character was full of subtlety in his looks and actions, he was calm and brooding but very intense and angry under the surface. the looks he gives people and his mannerisms are filled with intelligence and malice, meanwhile jimmy hoffa appears comedic, unintelligent and boisterous, the exact opposite of michael. al pacino seems like a completely different person here and i literally cannot picture this actor playing michael corleone.

This is the greatest actor I've ever seen! Period
Unbelievably with how many films Al has put on an acting masterclass in this might be one of my 3 favorite performances of his. Call me crazy but the Irishman is far deeper and better for that matter than goodfellas or casino
@Ch9-7708
3 жыл бұрын
Jarred Thorpe yes, they give a different feeling. Goodfellas for the most part is a fast tempo, upbeat and fun movie to watch. Same with Casino. The Irishman is mellow, sinister, and deep. All of these movies are legendary
@jarredthorpe846
3 жыл бұрын
StanleyC0718 for sure. I think Goodfellas is a little overrated (not to say it’s not great because it is) but it’s constantly ranked the best of the gangster genre. To me the first two Godfathers and Once Upon a Time in America are in a different league then Goodfellas for the reasons you mentioned. It’s more pure entertainment than an intricate story line with deep characters.
@cucabeludo3596
3 жыл бұрын
Jarred Thorpe couldn’t agree more. The godfather will always be number one but for me once upon a time in america is a close second, seriously underrated movie. I also think the irishman is Scorsese’s best
@jarredthorpe846
3 жыл бұрын
Cuca Beludo yea it’s a shame it’s so underrated, the terrible hour and a half US release kept the movie from getting its due. I personally like The Departed and Raging Bull a little better than the Irishman but it’s definitely one of Scorsese’s best
0:51 idk why this one made me laugh the way it did

One of the greatest actors ever-still at the top of his game. There can never be another Tony Montana or Michael Corleone-and these roles only scratch the surface!
You missed the bit when he says "you people" to Tony Pro
Pacino could read me the phonebook with every other word as a curse word and it would just be wonderful. Something in his voice it’s not like any other that I’ve heard, something in the inflection , something in the tone, some thing in his being; that the words just flow out, swearwords or no, yes he is the master of his craft♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I feel like this is Scorsese cussing out a bunch of people and type of people he doesn’t like, thru Pacino/Hoffa. And Hoffa is by far the most likable, idealistic and charismatic character in this movie, intentionally so, which is also the reason why he was murder.
