I was so scared that Lucy would be taken back by her previous "owner". Puppy mill owners always pretend to be nice people. But nice people don't breed animals repeatedly for profit. Glad Lucy can stay at the Asher house and live a wonderful life!!

Exactly.......I really don’t think he was all that nice because Lucy wasn’t excited to see him. I guess he might have a heart somewhere in there cuz he let her stay . I hope all the other dogs he probably has get rescued soon.

I get you on that one. I have a guy that works for me that runs one, and I can't bare to hear him talk about. He's an otherwise great employee and it's a free country. I've just made it clear not something to be discussed on the job.

I rescued Cassie, an always-caged dog and brought her home to our huge house and yard--no cages. She had the complete run of the place. A few months later, the previous owner wanted to see my property to see if she had placed her always-caged dog properly. I took her out on the deck to see the yard. We both sat down and suddenly, Cassie jumped into my lap. She had never done that before and never did it again. She was telling me not to send her back to that woman and her cage. And, of course, I didn't.

@@andicantu6490 She could hardly turn around in that cage. I couldn't leave without her, even though I wasn't sure before I went there to see about adopting her if I was even going to do it or not. Then I saw the cage and they even TOLD me she stayed in the cage all day except when they let her out to pee. I was sickened like you would be. I took her home right then.

Lucy just sat there quietly looking up at you like she understood every word you were saying. You can see the gratitude and love she has for the Asher family.

My heart sank when you said Lucy's owners wanted her back, I remember how sad and scared she was when you first picked her up and how settled she is now. I am so happy the owner changed his mind and let Lucy stay with you and your pack...thank God! Sending love and hugs to Lucy and the rest of the pack

I would have been tempted to say she had already been spayed and so not hood to him. If he was a good man you don't make dogs have puppies time after time, giving their bodies no time to heal or rest between pregnancies, they start them too young and make them continue until they are way past their time to stop. So pleased you have the lovely Lucy forever

We shouldn't give people the benefit of the doubt. The evidence was clear that the owner abused this dog. HE should actually be in jail and prevented from ever breeding again. My mom got a puppy from what she thought was a "reputable" breeder even though she had misgivings about the amount of space given to the animals. Low and behold, 5 years later, the "reputable" breeder" was shut down by the STATE (the story was all over the news) for hoarding animals and mistreating the dogs who were being bred. There's no good breeders.

Lucy was so attentive towards you throughout thus video. She knew you were talking about her story. What sweet angels you both are.

“And they lived happily ever after”…. What a wonderful beginning for Lucy and Lee and the Asher House family! Goodness is the light that guides you Lee…and it’s amazing!

Hi Lety. I agree with you 100%. It took a lot of guts for him to go to Lee's home. I think Lee is too trusting, because he is such a nice guy. That man came off as nice and polite according to Lee, well, so did Ted Bundy. Most abusers and narcissists come off as charming and gentle. Remember Lee was so upset driving her he had to try to hide his emotions from Her? And he stated she had wounds on her head. Lucy was completely Spiritually broken. That man did that to her! I am not as nice as Lee when abuse is apparent, and I would not have been as nice as Lee. The guy actually should have had charges brought against him for abuse and neglect. Thankfully she is forever with Lee, as it should be. God bless. ~

You can see the love in Lucy’s eyes when she looks at you Lee, I’m so happy her previous owner saw that look.

I also shed tears but the thing is, goodness does NOT always prevail in this life. What if the breeder had taken Lucy back? NO, just no; that would not be an option that I'd wager a dog's life on. I'm very relieved and happy it turned out good! It could very well have been the other way, no matter what we all wished for, is my point. I think she DID show emotion. I think she showed horror at his arrival and looked at Lee to save her - and the old owner actually saw it, recognised it - and had enough decency left within, to realise that Lucy hated the idea of going back, and leaving Lee. And unlike many puppy farmers, this man still had a little piece of soul that didn't value an animal by dollars they could produce, still living quietly in his heart. Sadly, he will probably replace her with a new puppy female goldie. But Lucy gets an early retirement in a dog paradise, where her only work, is enjoying herself.

@@georgielancaster1356 It's really easy to make assumptions at how bad someone may be, because it's often easier than facing or trying to learn the truth. We don't really know what went on with the previous owner and Lucy, for all we know the prior owner does love dogs, but just doesn't really know them as well as he may like or want to. I feel like Lee learned enough to be able to trust him to at least see Lucy. It's easy to want to help a dog that seems troubled. The prior owner may have had Lucy for a few years, I'm not sure but might have known she had issues but no idea how to help fix them. It's obvious he saw a completely new and different Lucy than the one he knew, and knew without a doubt that she not only needs to be with Lee, but deserves to be here, because she's happy here and that may have been something he never really got to see before.

Honestly I was into tears, thinking Lucy wasn't going to have her home at The Asher House 🏡. she was looking into your eyes, Lee, she knew this was her home. I'm so glad her former owner, knew this was Lucy's forever home. Home sweet home sweet baby girl. 🌿💓😇🕯️🌟💖💗🐶🐾🐕👑😉☺️🤗😘😘😘

It's NOT decent to abuse animals or breed them in this way in the first place. We need a better legal system to prevent this from happening plus legal recourse when a dog does escape or get rescued. These people need to be shut down and reported to authorities for animal abuse.

No one could break up this new soul bond. So glad that the previous owner made the right choice for Lucy. She is home. 😻

I'm going to share something I rarely share I have been abused it affects you physically and if you can recover from it physically if you are fortunate enough to you never recover from it spiritually mentally emotionally I'm thankful to God I was able to help myself that in itself was very tough you can become traumatized trapped in being sad someone so close to you like the skin on your body they could hurt you in such a way not even flinch about it I say this to you because I cannot even bear the pain of animals children that cannot help themselves situations such as this I'm so thankful to God LEE put himself in such a place to keep on fighting for Lucy no matter what he heard or saw in front of him A Close call INDEED but now its 4EVER OVER nothing but rainbows sunny skies happy hearts safety love peace for LucyDiamonds ln sky👍🐾

He's a scumbag who abused her. And he's probably abusing more animals, since he calls himself a breeder. He needs a few years in jail and to be prohibited from going anywhere near any animal ever again.

What an amazing ending for Lucy and Lee!!! And it's quite possible that the previous owner was truly touched by Lee's Love for Lucy and the Pack... It's very possible that Now, every time he looks at his own dogs, he will think of Lucy and Lee and Lee's Pack. It's highly likely, that the stark contrast in the level of Love, care, compassion and quality of life, will play on his mind and heart every single time he looks at his own dogs. And most likely, that guy has and will continue to be, changed, from meeting and spending time with Lee, seeing the immense change for the better in Lucy, and seeing the happiness of the entire Pack and realizing the immense, stark, black and white, day and night difference, that genuine Love, Care and Passion can make, to the Quality of Life and Happiness of Dogs. Yes, without doubt, that man is profoundly affected in a positive light and consciously and sub consciously, this Light will create deep and profound change. When you throw a stone into water - it creates ripples. Seeing the Light in another will spark the Light in you 💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛

I'm so glad Lucy gets to be with the ones she loves now. She is such a beautiful girl, she reminds me of the dog I grew up with in my teens (her name was Jay). Jay was a caramel and white mix and grew to be the mum and matriarch of our farm. She looked after horses including a Clydesdale used for pulling a royal mail coach one day a week, milking goats and their kids, potty calves, rabbits, chooks, ducks, a couple of peacocks, a racing pigeon who got blown off course by a nasty storm, a barn cat and of course her own puppies. Anytime there was anything wrong with any animal, whether it was a baby or full grown, our farm animals or a wild animal in our yard, Jay would let us know and lead us to it, expecting us to rescue the animals. She once saved a baby foal that had been born close to the fence and had slipped under a post and rail fence. She barked to be let out and then led my foster granddad and I straight to it. We then had the fun of getting close to the baby without upsetting the mum (a racehorse) and pushing it back under the fence. We waited for the baby to stand and suckle, we watched it feed after the mum cleaned it. In the videos I've seen Lucy has developed a strong bond with Lee and I think she would do just about anything for him, the love is there. Blessings from South Eastern Australia, Dot

I am so happy Lucy gets to stay. She will have the most wonderful life. She will be a totally different dog . She will be "happy & loved" Thank you Lee. If you had not remained calm and smart. He probably would have taken Lucy. This is why you are successful and those animals are happy. You have a level head on your shoulders and you use it. I have four cats and I always refer to myself as their Guardian. Mine is from Benton had him 9 years now would never buy a designer dog rescue everytime for me. I'm near Blyth x
