I’ve learned to give each doctor some time. In my experience most people expect a new doctor to be like the one that first got them into the series. My own “first doctor” WAS the first doctor. And, for me, William Hartnell’s Doctor was what a Time Lord was supposed to be like. He was incredibly intelligent, somewhat humorless, a stick in the mud, and viewed his companions as his granddaughter’s unwelcome pets. (Similar to how the TARDIS sometimes seems to think of them). So when he “regenerated” into the second Doctor I was appalled! To me the second Doctor was no “Doctor” at all. He was Moe Howard in a dumb looking fur coat, with a penny whistle! And I was convinced that the series would never recover. But I still watched the show. Other than Star Trek there wasn’t much on in the way of good sci-fi. Then the third Doctor came along and I had a Doctor that I thought was great! He was funny at times, but no one’s fool. And he was a car thief! So I’ve gotten used to riding the roll coaster across time and space with the Doctor’s various incarnations. I do have to say that the 13th was a waste of time from soup to nuts. But the show turning “woke” being the problem is complete B.S.. Doctor Who has ALWAYS been a liberal’s wet dream. It always stressed inclusivity, it always treated Women with respect, and shunned racism in particular. What was wrong with the show during the entirety of the 13th Doctor’s tenure was that the writing SUCKED. It was about as subtle making its points as using the 6lb. Mallet to discipline a gerbil. It had all the fascinating imagination of staring at a QR code. And despite quality casting gave the cast nothing to work with on the page. So it sucked. Go figure. Any script is the skeleton upon which the meat of a story hangs. Without at least a script that works no amount of skill or talent will save it. That said, the cast, crew and director are what bring any life to an otherwise lifeless skeleton in the form of a script. So I couldn’t care less about the idea of a black Doctor or the show being too “woke” somehow dooming an ageless franchise to fail. That’s just a way of using shitty writing as a way of dumping on a political viewpoint that you don’t agree with. I have to admit that I’m not optimistic about the new Doctor’s chances of turning things around. The Beeb always has tried to screw the show up since the very first days when the Beeb intended it to be an educational children’s show about history. A rule of thumb with Dr. Who is that when it’s ratings drop the Beeb can call for all kinds of jackassed changes that make the show even worse. But when the writing shines, the ratings go up, and any interference from the Beeb becomes a career ending risk to those involved. We’ll just have to wait and see where this roller coaster across time and space takes things THIS time.

Yes, Dune 2 was watchable. However, nothing like the wonder the first one was. And, there's just something about the way that girl furrows her forehead. She doesn't bring anything that draws me to the movie. They're just going off of that young man's appeal. He really is worth something. Fallout tried to for sure. Tom keeps trying despite the foulness of his Scientology link. Thanks.

That last film is a reverse riff on the great short story "The Ruum" by Arthur Porges. They would have been MUCH better off making it straight. Anyone who has read that story remembers it vividly, it would make a FANTASTIC film.

I was always unhappy with almost every new incarnation in the beginning and liked them in the end. Dr. Who run by Disney however may be another story.

For me it is "A Quiet Place: Day One", "Romulus" and "Deadpool", these are the next to watch. 🙂 "Fallout" was superb, really great show, I liked it very much.

IDW did Megatron and Orion's origin better; this is strange buddy cop nonsense. Moon looks cool but it looks like a reskin or Red Planet from the late 1999 / early 2000

Only a 3 got me curious, but the rest( especially from the Mouse ) I felt meh or bleh.

Even those aren't particularly original. Mars express, android and cop investigate murder on mars, See armitage 3. Million days, ai wants to bond with human, See Upgrade. although MD will have a lot less action. Restore point, that's just russian Altered carbon.

Mars Express and Restore point look of interest. Dune 2 was good. Though not the "most incredible movie ever made" as some are trying to portray it. Godzilla X Kong is possibly the dumbest movie I have ever seen, 12 yr old me would have loved it. Civil War is interesting. Fallout was great - Amazon should have promoted it more. Why they had embargo before release is stupid. Breathe looks like a loose remake of a French movie from a few years back.

fallout is good? the acting is the worst ive seen. a guy gets his foot shot off and doesnt go into shock or sweat or scream his lungs out until your uncon. reactions from the charactors is like there on morphine. slow and predictible. the only reason everyone is saying its great is because of the good cgi violence. sad
