Switch needs more games like this. Other than not being able to jump, and traversal in general just being a lot weaker than modern ARPGs, I absolutely love this game.

Tip: If you don't like the giant HUD interface, go into options and select small, you'll thank me later.

I've been begging for amalur on switch since switch came out. When thq bought it I was super excited and tweeted them multiple times. I wanted it so bad. I am so glad it finally came to switch. It is the perfect home and I swear it should do good. Its only 40 bucks and it's a huge amazing game. I haven't even had a chance to watch your video yet. Just glad its getting some attention.

This game just screams World of Warcraft with those visuals. Love it.

If you watched the documentary/behind the scenes they admit that they were going for that type of artistic approach. I believe Todd was encouraged to be influenced by wow.

I’m addicted to this game. Decided to go the pure finesse rout. Played it on PS3 for a little back in the day. Glad it’s made a comeback and I intend fully to play-through on switch if not multiple times.

How is it on the Switch? I played the sh#t out of this game on PC back in the day and afterwards on my PS5. I want to replay this fully on the Switch since it is the perfect cozy RPG experience, excellent to play handheld.

This was always one of my favorite RPGs and one of the first games I 100%'d on 360. I spent so much time maxing out a skill tree, making the best armor, then resetting my skills so I could then enchant weapons and armor. Then resetting again to max out other skills!

I got my copy friday and I’m so excited to try it for my first time on the Switch. Earlier the week I started on Xenoblade Chronicles so it’s gonna be awhile before I can get into Kingdom of Amalur.

The moaning bit was so funny to me because she's just laid out in the middle of the town on her back moving side to side and when you are talking to the npc looking after her she keeps moaning during his dialouge

playing amalur wayback 2012 on my wooden pc didn't know that it was ported on switch, hope they also included all the dlc. this game is very addicting they cut all the limitation from other rpg games. the freedom to choose what class, weapon, etc u want

Buyed today physical copy on switch. I’m too have many fond memories but on ps3. I remember having bonus armour sets from Mass Effect 2 - N7 armour set and some accessory like omni-instrument from ME, and second dlc set was collector’s armour set

I love Kingdoms of Amalur. I bought it day one on PS3 and still have it. I also bought Re-reckoning on PS4 and been playing a little at a time between other games. I'm in no rush to finish it because I already did that with the original.

@@ultimatriple777 I saw it a few times on the shelves and on the PS Store. Thought it looked cool but never tried it until now. The fact that it's portable is an instant win with my lifestyle.

Been curious about this game for a little while now, definitely gonna pick it up this week on Switch along with Dragon's Dogma, 2 RPGs I've always been wanting to play.

Nice review. I missed this game all to gather, until I saw this video. I do enjoy open world games, and now I'm sure to pick-up this game in the future.

Loved this game on PC and got it for Switch too now, especially with the new upcomming content for the Remaster. No release date yet but I'd bet winter 2021.

I bought it the day it released on 360, I have the origional version on steam and I bought re-reckoning on switch on release day. I love this game so much.

I played this some back in PS3. Never got to finishing after learning about some major bugs later in the game (heard that was fixed on this update). Just picked it up on the switch, looking forward to diving back in to it.

Same here, blocked by game breaking bug back in PS3. Other than the bug, I got bored after too many rinse and repeat type quests. The combat mechanic was fun in the beginning but you get OP eventually and combat just become button meshing... It is still a good game if folks haven’t play it before.

If you're used to RPG's that hold your hand through every aspect of the game, then you might get a little frustrated. But if you like experimenting with crafting systems and such, then you'll like it.

Easily one of my nee favorites! I’ve always wanted to play the 360 and PS3 version but never had the time to play it despite picking it up for like $9.99 many years ago. I am really enjoying how “open” the gameplay is with experimenting with different builds and weapons and abilities. I hope this game gets all the success it deserves

Brilliant video RGT 85. This game is on my Back Burner List at the mo, I've been Playing the other Action Adventure game no one has been Playing on the Switch and that Immortals: Fenyx Rising.

Played this back on 360 years ago. Been meaning to buy it for my switch.

He's right, guys! This is one of the very best action RPGs ever! Most beautiful world ever seen in a videogame, and some of the best combat in an RPG.

I played the original on the xbox 360, and it is currently one of the games that's on the backwards compatibility list. I never finished it on the 360 but I do remember having a lot of fun with this game. I'm about to order it for my switch now. Gamestop has it on sale for $30.

This is truly an underrated game IMO. I personally love it.

Just got torchlight 2 and starlink... so many old games I'm falling in love with on switch... poor ps5 hasn't been used in weeks

I still couldn’t convince myself to get PS5 knowing that it’ll be sitting there collecting dust like my poor PS4. The Switch have ruined PC and console gaming for me.

I played this game on the PS3, about 8 years ago when it was on PlayStation Plus, and really enjoyed it.

for future players Go to settings and change the camera. You can change the fov and cam height and distance, its great. Also turn off "enemy follow", in combat if you turn it off itl stop doing that far annoying pan out and itl just focus on you so you can control. Lock on wouldnt work well in amalur due to the nature of combat, you are constantly surrounded by 5-10 enemies. If you are locked onto one spider, well youre just gonna get annoyed. No lock on is a non issue

Have been playing since release because I LOVE IT!!!! Found myself thinking about what missions to take on, weapons upgrades and characters even after putting my switch down. ESSENTIAL GAME FOR EVERYONE’S COLLECTION ⭐️ Reminds me of Breath of the Wild’s adventuring.

My first time playing Kingdoms of Amalur was playing the demo on the PS3. I enjoyed what I played but for some reason never picked it up. So on the 16th when it launched for Switch, I picked up a copy for my brother-in-law's birthday and a copy for myself as well. I had to go to multiple stores to find them because most stores had zero to two copies in stock. Thank God we still have a lot of Game Stops in the area so the hunt was still fairly simple. My brother-in-law is enjoying it and I've been busy so it's still in the shrink wrap but I'll be breaking the seal soon. I love the job THQ Nordic did with Darksiders Warmastered Edition on the Switch and figured they would give this the same treatment. After listening to your review, I believe they did.

This was definitely one of my favorite games on PC. Excellent recommendation!

I love this game, bought it on my 360 when it came out. Still a good game, my only complaint I’ve ever had with it is there is no jump button. I will never understand action games where you can’t jump whenever you want.

I played this on PS+ back in the day. Its one of those games that was lacked a bit of polish, but was hard to put down.

I LOVED this game, and was so happy to see it come to switch. I kick myself all the time for not replaying it, but the time I did playthrough it, I had the time of my life. I will be picking this one up again soon.

RGT let me say thank you this one video led me to purchase the game and I literally can't put it down. The variety of side missions is ridiculous and I see what he mean when it had some comparison to skyrim I've literally only done one main mission after the prologue yet I have 38 completed 😭 really appreciate this video and yes this game is a worthy buy.

I remember playing this game on the PS3 and my game glitched out and I could progress after a boss battle. Basically stuck in the dungeon with no way out. Game is awesome just hope they patched a few of the bugs out.

Just picked it up for $16.00 at GameStop today!! Can't wait to play it!

I've been considering this game for the PC but just waited on it since many reviewers talked badly about it. I am glad that it is actually a good game and I look forward to getting it next month 💕

Never played it before. Have a gaming PC where I could get it but, after seeing RGT's review, I'm going to get it on the Switch!

Good to hear it's a decent port, I only ever played a demo on Xbox 360, while I liked it it came out at a time where I didn't had much money and had to be much more selective with game purchases than nowadays, this game was a victim of that and eventually I forgot about it.

I am playing it right now as im listening to RGT.

It was the state of Rhode Island. They gave 38 studios, curt Schilling's company a bunch of money to bring the studio there and he fucked them over. That's long story, short.

This game is great. I bought it after watching a MJR hidden gems video and it became one of my favorite games on 360. It has a bit of 90´s table top game feel to it (the art)

RGT im surprised you never played the original release of this game back for the 360. It was great then I can only imagine it improved a bit more on the Switch.

One of my faves back on 360. I got charged up when I saw it was getting a re-release, and I snatched it up for PS4. I had no idea it was coming to Switch 😔. Unfortunately the re-release introduces several semi-game-breaking bugs, but I love this game. I'll cop the Switch version. Edit: It's not actually much like Elder Scrolls at all, but it's a huge open world with tons of lore and an amazing action-oriented combat system. No other ARPG plays quite like this one.

I bought the game yesterday, I did the story along time ago on the PC, it's a really good game, love the combos and the powers are awesome, I can say about the Fps, it stutters almost nothing when you break crates, me personally I don't have any breaks when using spells and the fps decrease a little in the tunnels at the beginning and on first town. I don't no about the rest of the map, till now it's very solid, I didn't like the performance on darksiders 3 for exemple, this one is better. Exploring and fighting as been pretty solid. Hope this helps 👍

Between DD and KOA, I think DD is a much better game has better replay value. You should definitely spend a few hours to check it out for yourself.

This was another game that I sorta wanted to play but I'm not a fan of the frame dips and some bugs that it still has. Waiting on updates to see if anything improves

Played reckoning back when it came out on PC. Fun history, it was heavily influenced by R. A. Salvatore, as a writer and designer. He wrote the dark elf trilogy and created drizzt for the forgotten realms in DnD. Also Todd McFarlane was a designer. So this had all the good hallmarks for an excellent story, with great design. Everyone thought it was going to be the next best thing, but it just ended up being a fun game thats easy to forget unfortunately. Nice to see it ported to the switch though!

I csme across this twice at gamestop. But,i didn't think it was all that great until after watch this video. It really looks like a fun game to play. I'm going to watch more of the walk through and probably purchase it.

I too am having a good time with this game. I already have this for my XBox 360, but I never finished it. I saw it at my local Wal-Mart and was like: "Why not?" So I bought it. I may finally be able to finish this game now, lol.

The graphics and combat in this game are amazing, but the gameplay to conplete levels are difficult
