I love how Trapp gets a Nat 20 to clock that Avanash is "full crazy" but since everyone else failed, it mostly just makes HIM look crazy for insisting they can't trust him.

I'd say do the Nat 1s but it'd just be Matt.

Yeah I've watched a couple games where Matt is a PC and...all his characters are amazingly interesting...and can't do anything because of the rolls.

i played in an evil oneshot and its turned into a full campaign, were like 4 sessions in and now i fully understand how bloodkeep wound up being a weird evil found family thing dhdhdh

Matt, forever DM, who is so clearly relishing actually getting to PLAY for once, having the WILDEST dice swings in the game is just such a delight to watch. He's having so much fun.

Matt's nat 20 with the Griefmaker immediately followed by two nat 1's is like the best moment, lolol.

This whole campaign reminded me of Wreck-it-Ralph. Specifically, "Just because you are bad guy does not mean you are bad guy."

I love every season of Dimension 20, but Escape From the Bloodkeep is just so, so wonderful. The cast, the arc, the whole thing.

I love the last bit, Brennan going full good-guy-DM and letting the storytelling effort a player has put in speak volumes... Even though he crit.

Lieland is the reason I made “Lemand”, my favorite character ever. A hexblade warlock that gets his ass kicked all the time and just tries his best

Proposal: Video on all the shenanigan suggestions by players. For example Hilda Hilda, Riz's gun shoot at the halfpipe battle, Fig trying to handbrake turn the car, lilith having the ship as an ally, Kristen's ribbon fall etc etc. Basically moments where players come up with batshit insane ideas or solutions and Brennan rolls with it for better or worse. I love those moments as they display how insanely creative the players are within their worlds and how good Brennan is as a DM to accommodate their insane ideas.

I love how even if he wants to say no so badly he lets her reaction rob him of his critical hit because not only is it fair with how she’s made her character the entire time, he recognizes that it’s a lot more enjoyable for everyone if it happens and is ok with being thrown for a loop every now and then

Matts dice just kept charging until it decides “okay it’s time to get shit done”

"... before I narrate, roll for your second attack." You can hear- nay, _feel_ the quivering anticipation in that cunning linguist's voice as Brennan prepares to transport his enthralled audience (the players and the viewers both) into that glorious scene.

I love how so many of those 20’s were the advantage rolls.

blood keep is hands down my favorite season do to it being a meta aware parody of LOTR and the cast were having a BLAST with it

Hamhead's stealth check was perfect, I laughed so hard at Brennan's reaction

Matt was RPing so hard in that game! But it was awesome

@@Froggeh92 it took me a while to get into it- probably the longest of any of the seasons. But in the end I really enjoyed the characters and was glad I watched it. I would recommend powering through, if you have the time. It's good as background noise if it doesn't end up sticking to ya, lol

does Brennan usually allow Nat 20s to succeed anyway? I haven't watched it, so while he may have added it wrong, his ruling might be consistent I've seen the ghost mystery clip where someone did a Nat 20 to summon a ghost, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's allowed even if he said the roll was 31

Brennan as a GM treats nat 20s as auto-successes, same with nat 1s being auto-fails. So even if he got the exact number wrong when he did the math, as long as he didn’t also roll a nat 20, Matt still would’ve won that one

I really enjoyed this campaign. It was a fun listen. Nearly getting killed by a halfling with a frying pan will never not be funny.

while the 21 should really be 29 if it was +12, the ruling would work either way if Brennan allows crits to auto-succeed even on non-weapon attacks

Now this is a mighty fine collection of good rolls and even Matt Mercer got a few of them :D

Without saying anything more for spoilers, thank you for also showing the dc-15 Constitution save. Even though I have drop out, blood keep is a couple down on my catch up list

I love this series.

That griefmaker ability is wild and awesome. In a campaign where everyone's already stacked, on a critical hit which is already supposed to be something awesome, let's instead make it a chance to high roll even more in a double or nothing style mechanic.

I love whenever Matt gets a Nat 20, he quietly but happily celebrates it while everyone around him just loses their shit.

I can't believe in a campaign of only evil players, the catchphrases ended up being "double pants" and "shopping trip" 😂😂😂

i’m convinced DMs aren’t allowed to roll well as players to balance out all the damage they deal regularly, because murph AND matt’s nat20s always hit SO DIFFERENT with how rare they are
