Achievment unlocked: reaching the timestamp limit. To be fair, on 1080p, fullscreen, the timestamps in the red progress/seek bar are really tiny and crowded. I know you can use the chapter side thing, but I dont' like it, never used. And I guess that on higher screens, like a 4K, the crowded part might be much less so. Don't know if it makes sense, but maybe grouping 2 titles per timestamp might be a thing when you're near or over the limit ? Like instead of 2 timestamps, have only one titled "32: Big Ambitions & 33: Hotel Magnate". I guess it might get a bit too long in some situations though. Anyway, congrats & thanks on doing this! It took me 3 days to watch it fully, as I kept interrupting to do other things :)) I realized another thing ... especially for folks like me who don't get to game that much (technically I have time, but unless I know I have plenty of time, many times I don't start gaming but go to YT instead) - I realized that some titles sounded really cool and I'd so want to try them, like now. Yeah, some had demos, but some didn't. Nor early access either. Sooo, here's an idea, if the day gets to 48h for you or something: maybe make a list at the end of an year with what launched in the past year ? That is, newish games that can be playable right now. That way, if you find out about a game now and it sounds exciting, well, you can play it today! People like me who are clearly very calm, rational, not emotive and NEVER do things like impulse buying har-har-har might really like it. At least until the wallet empties :D

@@Winnetou17 Thanks! It's really tricky. I've never needed more than 100 timestamps before haha. Combining games into 1 timecode might be good, I'm looking at the stats and 2% of people actually stop watching once the timestamps run out. I might try combining them for the last bunch at least so it's not one big timestamp. And yeah, I totally want to make best games released kind of videos too. I did a few last year and they did well. Just gotta figure out how to keep up the pace with the work.

Great Video! One thing you forgot to mention. Nivalis is set in the same world an city of Cloudpunk, where you can already free roam in the city in first person, and is a great experience. I hope that the first person management will work: is a great leap from the original game that was a story rich driving game

3:20 it's quite sad that Introversion Software sold it away. The first one got a really bad aftertaste ever since it got sold, with all the DLC that suddenly appeared.

This is essentially 7 list videos' worth of content, so rough estimate, this video is a representation of about 210-420 work hours. Average that to 6 hours of work per day, this video is 1-2 months of full time work. It's mostly researching, curating, script writing, vocal editing, video editing, and so on.

"What's the difference between Simulation Games and Simulators" I'd say intended purpose is the diff. Ones for fun other for teaching new skill or training. Wouldn't call any software for personal computers a simulator probably.

Satisfactory is now fully focused on 1.0 release so no big patches untill then so hopefully in a year or so. It is the holy grail of early acces titles together with a game like Dyson Sphere always feeling you are playing the full experience.

Thanks! Yeah you never know what will actually hit when looking at upcoming games. Things like Helldivers 2 and Balatro shoot to the top seemingly from nowhere while big hopefuls often fall flat.

Two things. First: what a video! This series is essential for anyone trying to keep up with new and upcoming releases. You do the work so I don't have to. Lifesaver. Second: I often think "I should check out some demos" but then never remember which games have demos that you mentioned. I'd love if there was an easy way to note which games have demos when you recorded this. Maybe just a * by the games which have demos. Something like that. For easy searching. Just a thought.

Thank you! I have considered demo labels or sections, but they just keep changing. Half the demos available today aren't available in a few months. Many games that don't have demos get them soon after. The demo section would be correct and relevant for maybe a month or less.

As someone who recently started a yt channel (not this one), videos like this are phenomenal for me with knowing what's coming up for me to include on my channel. Thanks!

If you go to Steam and search just upcoming simulation games, there's about 1200 haha. This is pretty much the top 10%.

This was _amazing_. I do feel like a goose ready to be harvested for foie gras -- the amount of these games! My gullet can't handle it! -- but it was totally worth it. I'm bookmarking this and will be coming back to take notes about titles I will want to keep an eye out for. Thank you so much for all this work, and the excellent summaries and reviews!!!

Tiny Life does look pretty neat. It really is just The Sims 1, but.. with an artstyle that ages better ^^ Modding for that could be fun too actually.

This must have taken a long time to put together, great video. I've only watched the god games section bit, but I kinda wish there was a dungeon keeper or Majesty type game in there since other than war for the overworld there hasn't been any game (to my knowledge) of that kind.

Big Ambitions - Is amazing and has loads of potential. It's well and truly playable now and they keep adding more business types and more things to the game. I like it and would recommend getting into it.

I'm certain that making a comprehensive, major heading, video like this is challenging and time-consuming (and that's likely putting it lightly), rather than just the multitude of smaller subheading videos, but please continue to make them this way. You are a very good researcher, so while I may take or leave any given preview, I am highly appreciative of the quantity of titles you offer up, and your attention to the details (demo?, release date, on-screen title and developer listed, etc.) if nothing else (though I agree with your view about plenty of games, just not all). This fact, coupled with the amount and curation of footage you put on-screen, is why I have taken to you as my go-to source in order to create my own lists of games I must look into further, games I need to put on my Wishlist, games to skip, or games for which I must try the demo. As you might suspect, I have to be in a very particular mood to sit and make these lists. Having one huge 3-hour video plays well with the rarity of that type of mood. Watching several smaller videos, due to the higher frequency of ready-made stopping points, does not play out as well. Frankly, I'd rather be held hostage by my choice to make a game list, than risk taking a break, losing that studious mood, and not finding it again until halfway through 2025. I'm sure there are a few more like me, perhaps several now that I've put these thoughts out into the world, but even if it's only me, I'm not above making massively selfish requests, if I feel the request is a logical, sensible ask. Of course, making all the smaller videos, and then fusing them into the larger one seems to be a great strategy, as then both types of videos are available for different types of people. I really enjoy hearing your game previews, GamerZakh. Keep up the fantastic dedication and energy, brother! 👌👍👏👏👏

Thanks! It's a bit of an experiment but it does seem like there's a lot of people who prefer it all in one place. Releasing parts and a mega compilation is how I'll do things moving forward even though it does cause some confusion when some people recognise the same footage again. It's also more sustainable making the videos like this for a 1-person channel.

Orbital Potato loves this stuff. He's always showing these types of games. He liked the simple Idle Factory Town Idle game. It's simple, but it's good. He's just waiting for the best city sim game 'ever' or whatever you call it? I still like classic games like Sim City for SNES.

some great looking games mixed in there..wish there was more multiplayer games in these genres

Simulation game = A game that simulates some aspect(s) of the real world (such as building a city etc.) but which would not be transferable to real world applications. Simulator = Something that simulates one particular thing in great detail (such as commanding a submarine, flying a plane or driving a car) and which could be transferable to real world applications. At least that's my take on it. I base it on the fact that simulators (as in flight simulators etc.) predate computer/video games and were meant as an analogue which would help the person using it gain skills that would to some extent be transferable to when they had to do it for real.

Would love you to add sports simulationss like we are football etc to lists like this

Man... There was a game back in the 90s/early 2ks that was the real spiritual predecessor to the sapling and I cannot remember the name. Edit : I found it, and its older than I thought lol. It was called sim life. Maxis made it, and it was a DOS game. We used to play it in school in the late 90s early 2ks lol.
