    Some free "cool factor" mods that I've already done on my speed 6 is I got rid of the resonator in the air box to get some spool sounds and I disconnected the recirculation hose from the bpv to get some bypass sound, I just shoved a bottle cap in the hose to seal it off, sounds cool lol good video man!

    I preferred the sound of the resonator delete to my HKS exhaust, but the power difference is noticeable (plus it was $450 US 😬) Also I love strut bars, but you can't really on a Gen1 with a TMIC

    Coilovers warning: the MPS is sufficiently stiff from factory, it is a very hard for not perfectly smooth streets. And it is 4" from pavement to the chassis (around front axle), and little bit higher and it is the engine's crank case. Any object of around those dimensions which passes underneath the car can hit the crankcase... But of course there are no bumps in England, or America, or Canada (lol)… only when they lift both front wheels at the same time the issue is avoided. But of course it is awesome to have racing stiffness and lower mass center... OF COURSE! 😂

    You don't need full race spec stifness or be slammed to the ground, there's happy mediums, plus you can dial in other aspects such as damping etc. If you think stock suspension handles better then we'll set up Coilovers, that's wrong

    HFPP upgrade -> mandatory for increasing boost from 18 psi and up 17 is ok, my tuned CX-7 GT does 17+ psi with stock internals and the AFR under full boost (160+ km/h) is at good 12, but that is the limit.

    As far as tuning for the down pipe and fuel pump upgrade. What are the best options? Does it need like a standalone or do you send in your ecu somewhere?

  • @LifeOfTuners

    @LifeOfTuners

    2 жыл бұрын

    Oh nah it's way easier then that, you can contact a tuner who will email you tunes to load onto your car with an access port, I know cyborg tuning can do it with a laptop and tactrix cable.

    Shifter weight, and the "denser shifter knob"… both, one heavier the other lighter or the other way around, need to be adjusted... tuned, and when one get the perfect balance the shifts go perfect every time. Of course everybody is different, my male friends think my setup is all wrong lol... a female friend thinks I got it right and now she wants me to help her adjust her Audi A3's 🤣 Geometry and mechanical movement of weight, turning inertia to help or block movement

    Resonator delete: as long as it is a noise improvement, no extra flow ("promise of more power") it's ok Anything that disrupts exhaust flow, trying to increase it, as as bad as reducing intake air flow. The ECU/PCM has default values and will try to balance them down... so big no unless tuning it. Careful! Even the K&N filter cartridge replacement is problematic for a stock vehicle

    7:13 DOT 3? Isn't it the race standard to use DOT5? Higher temperature range, and other mechanical properties I don't remember lol Hard constant braking -> overhearing of brake components, that means the caliper, that means pistons, that means braking fluid... this is where it deteriorate when we race, and not when we just commute Hoses... those can wait Brake rotors,... far down the list Brake pads, ASAP! And try not to use pure track/racing compounds (last very little) 30,000 km for Mazda front pads (the good compound, back ones are the same as regular Mazda 3) Hawk street high performance (eagle?) -> 20,000 km front, 28,000 km rear That's how they last Racing ones is 1/3 to 1/2 that lol, but they feel even better hen dropping speed before the hairpin from 250 to 70 ... 😎

    BOV: "make it sound harder" 🤦‍♀️ This has nothing to do with performance... the thing works or doesn't, the stock one sacrifices pressure seal at low 14.5 psi boost for quietness. A better one made out of stainless steel (piston) will solve the issue and give as much noise from releasing pressure as your intake has restriction. More is becoming ricer... I prefer exhaust noise and explosions (too much fuel when throttle is closed abruptly over superheated turbo and downpipe 😎
