Dolph wanting the fans to think he was getting screwed again shows just how much he understands the business. He was 100% right that it felt like he was going to be one of the very few to not cash in successfully, and that made the win so much better than if that had happened quick. Elation for 30 seconds, then fear he was getting screwed for 2 minutes, and finally the end elation when he finally won. That’s storytelling in a match that seems to not happen much anymore.

And also beyond the match, it improves future cash-ins by telling the public "you know, cashing the MITB is not always as straightforward as it seems, keep your eyes open when it happens because...you never know"

I could never see him as a long-term champion, but always love to see his work. And that's right where I need him to be. Vince should be gone and Paul should have more control so Dolph oculd be HBK. DZ has every potential to be HBK style of matches. Look at Logan Paul he absorbed everything Paul Gave him as tutor and put Shawn as Logan's coach at performance center. Look at Paul now using bits of Shawns swagger and ego and incorporating it. WM39 Zipline Tied and hanged to the square? That's HBK homage. Highflyer Moves and Heel Heat Finesse? Vintage HBK in the 90s. DZ should be given more spotlight to be that showstopper and showoff. He doesn't need to be a thing Vince pull out of his ass as the punching bag enchacers or the filler needed to keep the match going.

Alot of WWE legends I think that didn't get appreciation they should've gotten.. like Dolph ziggler, the miz, kofi Kingston, John Morrison, Jeff Hardy.. all these people were side characters when WWE peaked.. But in today's WWE all these people are better than the main characters today!

You can tell he had thought about that for a while before getting the chance. Especially the inclusion of the suspense, understanding how the crowd is going to perceive the moment and how you can manipulate that to amplify the payoff. I hope Dolph is remembered for being the absolute workhorse he was

He’s definitely got the second greatest cash in, it’s gotta go to Seth on this one. At the time he really saved the main event of wrestlemania in a way the fans didn’t expect cause they didn’t want to see Roman or Brock. Seth really did pull off the heist of the century

@@standardofexcellence..... Edge at New Year's Revolution when litterally no one even knew that was a possibility wouldn't be in the top 3? Litterally the whole point of people doing in Kayfabe was copying Edge original strategy. The cash in was for a world titke match at any time but no one ever expected for it to be used after an Elimination Chamber match, along with the crowd, Cena still trying to survive but finally meeting that brick wall which was Edge and the Genesis of the long lasting feud. Honestly the most important Cash in out of all of them since it legitimately affected how the rest of cash ins are used and added a different layer to Edge's career which he carried for himself for several years as the Top Heel.
