This is also a bit more authentic i believe. Corned beef is an American thing anyway, whereas i think this recipe is based on traditional lamb stew. Of course beef is more practical for Americans

So Matt, I made it tonight. No beer or wine added though. Peas and carrots, garlic,your seasoning,bay leaf, fresh thyme and rosemary and beef broth,(worse word in the world sauce) Have always added potatoes to the stew. Mashed them tonight. Game changer. Made sure I took a carb blocker with this meal. True comfort good! Yummy!

works great. i love that it has stainless steal pot inside kzread.infoUgkxG-7WiT7ocumjytOpHDFt632PL0pxXRAg and not the one with coating. we used to have a coated pot before, and the coating slowly peels, and i am sure went into the food that we cooked. Absolutely love stainless steel, and will not use a coated product again.This pot has many settings and many buttons, and i need to sit down with a manual to figure out which setting to use. I used the basic functions, and even though i am not technologically skilled, i turned it on and assembled it without any help.Very satisfied with this product overall.

I made this stew minus the rosemary, bay leaves and brown sugar. I used Guinness Extra Stout because that was all the liquor store had. I don’t even like beer. This stew was awesome. My husband and I loved it! Next time I’m going to double the ingredients. This will be my St. Patrick’s Day meal from now on.

Take it a step further and cook it at 200° for 8 hours - 10 hours. This recipe has a different process than mine but it’s pretty much the same. It’s going to be well worth the wait guys!

What size dutch oven is needed?
