I really love champion’s road, since i tried to challenge myself to only beat it as mario without power ups, but honestly whenever i think of 3d world, the 2D shooter level is what comes to mind.

I can't believe there is only one original mario game after odyssey...

Next up is probably the best enimies, blocks, castles, & bosses in every Mario game.

Favorite level in each mainline game: SMB: 1-1 SMB: TLL: 1-1 SMB2: 7-2 SML: 1-3 SMB3: 4-1 SMW: 2-1 SML2: Crotch Level SM64: Whomp’s Fortress SMS: Pinna Park NSMB: 8-1 SMG: Galaxy Reactor NSMBWII: 8-Bowser SMG2: Cloudy Court SM3DL: S-Crown NSMB2: 8-Bowser NSMBU: 1-4 SM3DW: 3-6 SMO: Metro Kingdom

So something you can do in champions road is get to the end but don't hit the flagpole yet, grab more controllers and pick characters you haven't beat the level with yet, then just make sure all of them hit the flagpole.

The only thing I liked in SMB2 Lost Levels were the upgraded springs that can fling Mario & Luigi way up off the screen momentarily if timed right. Any level with those and no stupid wind mechanic were my favorites.

As someone who *just* replayed NSMBDS for the first time in 15 years, I'd honestly go with 7-3, 7-4, or the World 8 final castle. 8-6 is also definitely up there though.

I'm glad that you also love 8-6 from NSMB DS because it's also my favorite level from the game. I love that you can switch sides and this is something which should be in every game with a minimum of one or two level.

Very scary.

4-2 has always been my favorite American (non-lost & superior) SMB2 level. I also enjoyed 4-1 and wanted to like it as much too but 4-2 and its crazy cool whales are the icing on this retro ice -level cake! :)

Great and beautiful videos of Mario levels I really really like your list of your favorite levels in Mario games and I like 4-1 from super Mario bros the Mario zone from super Mario land 2 too and I also like world 3-1 from super Mario bros Wii and they have so many good Mario levels.

Here is what I would replace everything with (based on personal experience): SMB1: 5-2. There are two parts in this level, each one having a unique feeling to itself. Yes, that's right, the subworld is actually good here! SMB2J: 3-1. At one point in the level, the bullet bills are actually your friends. SMB2: 1-1. I'm terrible at this reskined version of Doki Doki Panic and have never made it past this level. SMB3: 1-4. I have nothing to say about this autoscroller other than the fact that it is very hard for a World 1 stage and actually puts your skills to the test. SMW: Donut Plains 1. Same reason as NicoBBQ. The cape feather is just so great. SM64: Dire, Dire, Docks. Unpopular opinion, but this level is actually pretty fun. It has chests, Bowser's submarine, a manta-ray that spits out rings, what more could you ask for? SMS: Bianco Hills. I have never beaten this stage, so my only other option is Delfino Plaza which looks boring. NSMB: 5-3. You defeat enemies by sliding on ice. There's even a section where you need to power down yourself to fit in. Pretty fun, right? SMG: Rosalina's Observatory. It's extremely fun to get around for a hubworld. NSMBW: 9-3. The level is hidden behind some clouds so you kinda have to use your imagination. SMG2: Shiverburn Galaxy. You get to explore two sides of the galaxy: One hot, one cold. I prefer the hot side. Which do you prefer? SM3DL: 4-2. I find this level to be pretty interesting and hard. The reason why I find 4-2 interesting is because there are a lot of platforms on random spots. It's hard because of the second starcoin. NSMB2: 6-4. You take a ride across a wheel with four platforms, but you need to dodge a lot of enemies such as Crowbers, Boos, and more. NSMBU: 5-2. Platforms rise and fall out of the stage. You really need to watch your step, and there are acorn suits! SM3DW: Castle-4. It's NSMBU's 5-2 but better and in 3D. SMO: Cascade Kingdom. It looks great and plays great. You can capture chain chomps to unlock more of the level and the textures are actually decent enough, which can't be said about most Switch games. BFURY: I've never tried this game. SMBW: Wiggler Race: Swimming!. You race a Wiggler underwater and above water. That's the coolest thing ever!

Yep, “The Lost Levels” is actually the Japanese Super Mario 2 and we Westerners got a reskin of Doki Doki Panic(2? I dunno)because of the difficulty.

is it only me who thinks super mario 3d world and bowsers fury are the best mario games on the switch. Im pretty biased with mario 3d world as i grew up with it AND I LOVE BOWSERS FURY

I really don’t understand why you pick Peach’s Castle as the best level in Super Mario 64. It is literally a hove world and I don’t count it as a level. 😒 You should’ve just pick on of the best levels in this game like: Cool Cool Mountain, Lethal Lava Land, Tiny-Huge Island, Big Boo’s Haunt, or Whomp’s Fortress.
