Since I got retired, I’d like to volunteer to help you exercise your stable of KTM’s to help keep them as dirty as possible. I’m kinda on the tall/heavier side so I can’t exercise anything below a 250. I just need a location, date and keytime. I’m alright with rain, snow, sleet, pretty much anything. Thanks in advance!

I can’t afford a new one this year and I don’t want a tpi so I guess I’ll stay on my 2018 300 xcw. Actually I was going to buy a tpi but a dealer I trust talked me out of it.

Jist bought a 23 300 xc today for 10600 out the door cause they wanted to bring 24s on the floor. Im stoked on the deal!!!!

$8900 out the door 2023 xc300 at my dealer the other day. I paid $13,400 for my 23 husqvarna tx300. Ouch

You don't need a kick starter! I have them on my 18 and 19 KTM's and never use them and hundreds of hours on both bikes. "You don't need a kick start, Kenny!"

I have one on my 2012 450 xcw. Never been unfolded. Lol. A few times I’ve wanted to use it just to see how hard it is to kick but I just never have.

kickstarter can be used to check compression i guess. Also if ur battery dies just pushstart! @@MikeRay1978

How did this compare to the 2024 300 xc?

I like Sx model better than all these and yes even for hard enduro clutch pops double blips etc. all the 24 250/300sx need is a cheap clutch weight + 13-52 sprockets and change the rear hoop to an 18inch. They fix most of Sticky issue with AER fork and just run that fork at 95psi for hard enduro stuff. If you are 175+ the stock rear spring is fine too just read the manual adjust shock to “comfort settings” if you are lighter then a 39-whatever WP spring will suit you nicely. I have tried both the xc and xc-w and still like the SX better the response is crispy and better.

What happens when the battery dies can you push Start it with a dead battery?

Hello: The SX and XC models have a capacitor that allows bump starting when the battery is flat. The XCW/EXC needs this slavensracing.com/shop/slavens-mule-quickstart-capacitor/.

Just wondering if the kymco cylinders are on these bikes?

Will you do a detailed review and comparison to ktm xcw 300 tpi 2023? I am concerned about OCU. On xcw 300 tpi 2023 you changed the fuse, will you be able to repair problems by yourself now with this OCU and how? Plastic subframe is also a concern. Tnx for most relevant info about this bike so far😊

Hello: I'll put your request in the queue. OCU technology has been around for a long time in street bikes and cars. It's not a big deal. The subframe is only partially plastic and is tough. Buy one, best KTM ever.

@@slaverace1 tnx. How do you fix OCU problem? Before you just changed the fuse. What do you do now? Do you have to take the bike to the dealer? Change OCU? Can you easily repair it by yourself?

Could you please tell me what spring rate this came with stock? trying to get a lighter spring for my 24

6.9 is stock in the rear (we will have shock springs by the end of the week for them). 4.4 is stock up front. We have lighter and heavier in stock. One rate down would be a 4.2. slavensracing.com/shop/fork-springs-wp48mm-44mm-x-470mm/

@@slaverace1 Would you say I need about a 65 in rear? i am 145 dont really ride with more than 15-17lbs of gear. 4.4 seems pretty stiff, I typically ride a 4.0 spring. are they using the same springs as xplor forks in the CC?

Really wish they did away with the oil pump and just let me mix the fuel...unnecessary weight and more reliable. Hopefully it can be deleted.

The XC is pre-mix and the XCW is oil injected. Not sure if that means you can delete the injection or not, but I would imagine you could. If not, it’s just one more thing I don’t like about the newer bikes. Lack of a kick start being the other glaring issue…

Its TBI, I dont see why you couldn't. Only thing i could think of is the ECU could limp mode the bike if it shows low oil, so a tune or a oil level resistor/plug would be needed to trick it.

@@ponydown4189 The 300xc model they did away with the pump. The left it on the XC-w. I believe the thinking was so that you can fill up anywhere
