    Kobe's death hit the world in a different way. Even people who didn't like him for one reason or another showed respect and appreciated him and what he did not only for the NBA, but also for his support of women's basketball and his ventures after basketball. His Mamba Mentality was awesome! I'm still bothered by his death and the way he and the other passengers perished. Prayers for strength go out to his parents, sisters, wife and daughters.

  • @ASkepticalHumanOnYouTube
    @ASkepticalHumanOnYouTube2 жыл бұрын

    Something to keep in mind about these stories is that they're not being told by some dude that flips burgers or drives a forklift and doesn't really do shit else with his life. They're being told by NBA players who themselves have ridiculous, insane work ethics which have allowed them to get to that level in the first place. Brings to mind that Goggins quote where he said he "wanted to be uncommon among uncommon people" -- where it's not enough to just be in that top percentile; you want to be the best OF the best. Gotta love it.

    Yeah I think you’re right dude, I was gonna say Michael Jordan was on his level (and also some white dudes like John Stockton at 6 foot nothing, which means he’s probably really like 5’10 or 5’11 lol, and maybe Chris Mullin, you know us white dudes gotta work hard as fuck just to keep up let alone be HOFers lol especially when you’re average height, that is average for normal people i.e. not NBA players lol) but Kobe’s physical plus mental obsession together probably out did everyone including the aforementioned. I think Jordan was so unbelievably talented and skilled almost intuitively/naturally that he could get by on that in his prime enough that he didn’t obsess as much as Kobe, who’s also incredibly talented physically and sort of intuitively capable but he ain’t Mike lol no one is, so Kobe may well have the obsession age on Mike. Basically for Mike it just came so naturally that he didn’t have to think and obsess over it analytically in and outside the game quite as much as Kobe did/would. Like Kobe really broke down the tapes analytically and thought things through obsessively to a degree that’s almost creepy lol. But hey that’s what it takes if you wanna be top 10 all time.

    I learned discipline, passion and obsession from Mamba. Now as I'm getting older, I realize his greatness more and more. Whenever I feel like not doing some things which are hard, I apply mamba mentality and I get that energy right on. Rest in peace Kobe. You are my role model. I will be in your debt forever.

He’s truly missed, such a nice guy, may he and his dear daughter be in the arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the same hopefully for the other victims that were killed in the same crash. My condolences to all the families. May God Almighty comfort you.🙏❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

    If you ever played basketball long enough you learn there’s a zone you get in almost like super awareness I experienced it a few times but one year I learn to stay almost in it it takes hours of basketball a day and a lot of working out but I thought to myself man Kobe has stayed this way a good 15 16 years of just being on fire and now I see curry doing it if you are a ball player out there you know what zone I’m talking about it’s unlike any feeling on earth things almost go silent I couldn’t imagine it for Kobe
