Carlos G. Let’s be realistic you fanboy. Do you really think Jordan could go into today’s league and put up the points he did back then? Don’t be a clown. Look at the history of basketball and realize that scoring averages have been going down and down because of more emphasis on defense and better defenses. Was he greater in his time? Yeah he was. Was he a greater player by today’s standards? Absolutely not. Jordan was, is, and always will be Basketballs greatest icon, so people will always think that synonymous with greatest basketball player. It’s simply not true

The ball in the low post to help one on one star numbers grow.. M. J's best attributes where he was taller than his opponent's in guards while being great in the post and mitt. Have you played during an era where it was illegal to double team without leaving someone open and the floor had to be spread, leaving just one on one in the post unless someone was wide open

When determining a GOAT, you can't compare guys by stats, by rings, etc. Different eras, different rules....makes it impossible to pick one over the other based on those things. So, what then? The GOAT is the one who was held in the highest regard by the players that came before him, played with him, and came after him. The GOAT is a guy who never felt it necessary to give that title to himself. And the GOAT is the guy whose career had the most profound impact on the game of basketball.

I is a logical and correct conclusion when you seen them all play the game and have their proper place in greatness. Michael Jordan is that Icon that had everyone for the first time watching basketball, he had such passion for the sport and had performances unparallel to his own, made us watch in amazement at a human being outshining us all in a way that had us in awe utter unbelievable fashion. It didn't stop their, he even went beyond it and showed us he had more to show us, and that he did it again and again and again wow wow. That's why we hoped their would be a player to surpass him it hasn't happened til this day and looks like it might take more than hundreds of years til a player may elevate to this level again. In the meantime no one is even close to this, and yet the closes to remains Kobe Bean Bryant. I don't cars how many others have tried and failed at the attempt that definitely includes that one they keep trying to compare Michael Jordan to in Lebron James. He is nowhere in sight of being as great as Michael Jordan. Maybe close to Magic, and Bird but their hearts are bigger than his. Much respect to all the guys that paved a way forcthese modern day clowns that keep this nonsense going.

Kobe had same mindset as Michael. Obviously Kobe was a Kid at the times they were first playing. He seemed to want to push to get the best out of Mike because it would make him better. Alpha vs young Alpha. Play hard, spit your shit even knowing you right now don't have the hardware but I am coming. MJ respected that. That's why they became friends, ultimately why Kobe could lean on MJ not just about basketball but life. The phone always answered and texts got returned because Kobe never changed. His goal was to be the best. He was closest thing to MJ. He was feared and respected.

That was the best! I wish he never laced up after that. It was the only way he should’ve went out. The best to do it on both ends of the floor and that sequence portrayed that perfectly. It was so amazing to watch! I’m glad I was a witness

I feel so bad for pippen. He will always be stuck under Mike’s shadow. The dude was a defensive monster that could with out doubt truly guard all 5 positions of the game. I never got to see the bulls in there prime since I’m only 21 but I’m not ignorant, that man deserves way more respect

@@BJJANDMTG Pip was an all-star, a 6x champ, top 50 all-time player, one of the best defenders ever, and great team guy during his playing days. He had gotten a ton of respect. Jordan has repeatedly said "Every time they mention me they should mention Scottie Pippen. He's my greatest teammate ever and was a pleasure to play with." Mike said that at his hall of fame speech and said it in the Last Dance. If that isn't respect idk what is. But Pippen has been been embarrassing himself the last few years with his ridiculous comments.

The fact that many great athletes idolized jordan before they became idols themselves, before they even knew basketball was their calling, shows how great he was. People all over the world and in many different countries are very familiar with his jordan brand. The retro bred 11 if you own a pair when you first opened the box there is a card that says the most iconic shoe ever made. That right there lets you know how deep this goes. He is the GOAT and his name and jordan apparel will still be talked about and worn until the end of time.

Kids that were not around in the 90s will never understand how big he was. I wasn't into basketball at all back then. But i loved him somehow. Everybody knew who he was. He was considered the most dominant athlete in any kind of sport. No other athlete has ever been as talked about in pop culture as he was. Everyone wanted the Air Jordan sneakers. People who were not watching basketball wore Bulls merch. He made the logo cool. He put basketball and NBA on the world map and is responsible for the increasing success of NBA. He was in ads, in the news, in movies, in music videos. No athlete will get the same universal fame anytime soon. When he did the music video with Michael Jackson it was the two most famous celebrities in the world in the same video. He was the richest athlete by far because of all the side merch and side contracts. Nowadays people who are not into basketball don't know about Steph Curry or Lebron. MJ could not be avoided in the 90s. And the Netflix series will make people realize why. If he didn't retire TWICE while being on top of the game he would have set records that would be unbeatable for many decades to come.
