One of the most iconic years of kpop! Much more "kpop" than now! Love the aesthetic and sound!

The Gold Era of Kpop from 2009-2013. I was 12 years old back in 2010 when I discovered 2NE1, T-ara, Bigbang, Superjunior, Miss A, SNSD... Miss that time.

Special mentions to Teen Top, ZE:A, F.Cuz, DMTN, DGNA and Nine Muses who debuted this year.

the variety in answers...male, female, soloist, group, rookie, even B-SIDES... it just shows how the quality of music was taken seriously in 2nd gen!!

2010 was the first year I got into Kpop. I remember being on a geography field trip in uni and my Korean friend lending me her earbud to hear what she was listening to. It was “Bonamana” by Super Junior. Great memories.

As a Kpop Fan since 2012 I Really Miss Those Old Groups Like Miss A 2ne1 Sistar Kara super Junior Bigbang Exo Shinee Wonder girls 2am 2pm😢❤

the fact that i know every single song on this list... i feel so old.

I know EVERY single song. Pre-KZread era where GOM player was my friend. Also, the year where 2 queens made their big K-Pop comeback, BoA and Hyori.

Maybe because nowadays they bought songs from foreign composer a lot, not that all of them is bad but it's obviously sound different from old kpop, they want their sound to be more global -international, but i hope they put more focus on korean composer, some of the idols who compose their song still got that classic kpop sound.

Now this is the kpop sound i miss so much
