I personally think that Freddy's hallway jumpscare is better than the power outage jumpscare. The reason why is because if you don't know how to use Freddy he just pops out of nowhere and jumpscares you, but thats not it the lighting covers Freddy's eyes to presumably seem more intimidating.

Yeah, with the other animatronics you can expect a jumpscare since they only happen when you put your monitor down, and they disable their door and light when they enter, making their presence obvious. But with Freddy, he jumpscares at a very random time and there's no indicators of him being in the office other than his laugh. I also love how his eyes are completely black.

This might be a controversial take, but I really like Withered Bonnie’s jump scare. The others just kinda leap at you, or scream in your face, or something like that, but Withered Bonnie reaches out to grab your face. When you think about it, it gets really eerie and creepy to imagine, almost like he’s trying to steal your face.

In my opinion phantom chica's is better, because you can see foxy just standing there for about half a second before he jumps you, whereas chica is already coming at you the moment you turn left. Yeah, foxy's might look more interesting, but the surprise factor is just that better with chica.

Foxy's is pretty good is just than I like Puppet's more because it make you feel stressed when looking at you for 20 second. In that 20 second More Phantoms like Chica or Foxy may show up making it scarier. You feel more stressed. Heck I even fine Phantom Balloon Boy more Scary because his pretty much the same as Foxy's but more unexpected.

Foxy's FNAF1 jumpscare I think is underrated. Not him peeking into the door, his cold sprint down the hallway. That's been his jumpscare the entire time. You're just playing the game, you check the hallway camera only to see something actually animated on there, his loud, speedy footsteps signaling that you need to act fast if you don't want a game over. Just watch anyone do a blind playthrough, Foxy will more than likely trip them up. Jerma ended up showing this off very well the time he streamed FNAF1, I think Markiplier also fumbled Foxy his first time. A pretty genius scare honestly.

I don't find his Jumpscare scary. Him Running down the Hallway and Banging himself on the Door are pretty scary because It kinda makes his look dumb. He spring full speed ahead down the hallway, and if the door is closed will stand slaming himself into the door all for his to come in and Give you an npc look.

In FNAF 4, a lot of people don’t think the Nightmare jumpscare is all that, but I think it’s the best one, mostly because it still gives you a scare, it’s on the hardest night (I think) so there’s already enough tension built up, and the jumpscare overall is just unsettling to the point it kind of freaks me out. All of the other animatronics just kill you then and there, but with Nightmare we don’t actually know what happens.

Nightmare is alright. I fight NightMarionette Scarier (who is a reskin of him) because he get closer to you're face

Controversial opinion: Foxy's jumpscare is the scariest in FNaF 1. After seeing so many still frames of the animatronics and seeing almost no motion at all throughout the game, then suddenly you see this weird pirate fox literally running down the hallway toward you, it takes you by surprise seeing such fluid running. You know he's coming after you, so there's so much stress to close the door in time.

Nah is Freddy. He built more tension than people give it the credit for. one moment is dark. 2-10 second later Freddy is singing his jingle. 2-10 second later it goes black again. And you see a Freddy with Human Eye come at you. It was kinda ruin because for Freddy's wacky movements by some youtuber. And the other Freddy jumpscare is the same. You look for him around the Camera Which is more hard than Looking for Bonnie or Chica because his in the dark. and when his at camb1. looking at you with his white eyes is terrifining. and the jumpscare of him putting his lifeless face in you're room Bonnie jumpscare is good too. Not because Bonnie is scary but because his the on that looks scared. Bonnie for most of the Game doesn't seen to have any goals or emotion. he look at you blanky and bored. and at the left door he looks like a dead soul. But when he jumpscares you he get emotion and looks scared. Which is pretty cool.

Here's my list: FNAF 1: A tie between both Freddy's normal and his 0-power jumpscare, the former being because it can be extremely unexpected, and the latter because of the tension that builds up just waiting for the jumpscare. FNAF 2: Withered Bonnie. In general, his design had always been one of my favorites of the whole franchise, and I just love how he's reaching out to grab you in the jumpscare animation. FNAF 3: Phantom Foxy. He is really hard to notice while you are focused with tasks, making the jumpscare very unexpected. Even when I do notice him before the jumpscare, he has scared the living shit out of me by just appearing in the office out of nowhere. FNAF 4: Nightmare. This is probably my hottest hot take, mainly because his jumpscare isn't an actual animation. But in my opinion, the lack of animation is what makes the jumpscare so good. There is something so unsettling about how he screeches and remains completely still, just staring into your soul with his red eyes. The fact that the jumpscare lasts for a while also makes it even more unsettling. Sister Location: Funtime Foxy. I don't think I need to explain this one much. In a nutshell; pitch black room, very little information about his location, and unexpected jumpscare. Pizzeria Simulator: Molten Freddy. His design is really cool, and the way he lunges at you during his salvaging jumpscare is absolutely terrifying. UCN: Fredbear (easter egg). I wouldn't call this jumpscare necessarily scary, because there is absolutely no chance you won't see it coming, but the animation is so cool. My favorite part about them are the glowing white pupils inside of the pitch black eye sockets. Help Wanted: Plush Baby (Dark Rooms). Her level is my favorite in all of Help Wanted. The level is done so well. The build up to the jumpscare is terrifying. The pure panic that you get while drastically looking for the plush dolls while also trying to cope with the flashlight's battery is just unmatched. Security Breach: Map Bot. His/her jumpscare is just so iconic. SB Ruin: M.X.E.S. "The Entity". When I first saw its jumpscare in the trailer, I thought it looked so incredibly cool. When Ruin was finally released, its jumpscare instantly became my favorite. It is so unexpected, especially in its first in-game appearance, as the jumpscare happens when the player thinks they are safe while disabling the security nodes.

I respectfully disagree. For me, FNAF 1 is the normal Freddy jump scare. FNAF 2 is Mangle as he's more unpredictable. The best jump scare in FNAF 3 is phantom Foxy. But I do find Springtrap just peeking around the edge of the door quite disturbing, even though it's not a traditional jump scare. Sister Location is Funtime Foxy because of the build up. The best jump scare in Security Breach is Map Bot. Little fker just comes out of nowhere and ages me 10 years. In fact, that's the most heart stopping jump scare in the entire series. 😅

Mangle literally is on top of you roof. It’s an expected jump scare making it one of the less scary ones, similar to fnaf 1 Freddy lights out or golden Freddy as you kinda expect it

I'd argue Freddy's normal jumpscare in FNAF 1 is scarier, as by the time you're used to it, you're basically used to how to deal with him, also making power outage Freddy jumpscare not scary, either.

Imo the normal puppet from FNAF 2 in Help Wanted has the best jumpscare. The way everything goes quiet except for the music box and you can actually see it creeping down the hallway in front of you is absolutely terrifying in vr

For FNAF 3 imo the best is phantom BB because you would NEVER expect that lil' sht to jumpscare you, and with that open mouth to the point of me thinking it was a newly different character

The puppet is a really close second to withered foxy. Honestly it only loses to said foxy's is beacuse the puppet only attack if the music box runs out, which removes it as an active threat. However the jingle that plays whenever it is lose builds a great amount of tension, like freddy's power outage scare. You know you're about to get scared, you just don't know exactly when, and therefore you can't ready yourself, which can greatly surpise you in return.

Personally Nightmare Fredbear has always had the best jumpscare. Like dude already scares the shit out of me, but the detail of him looking like he's putting you in his mouth? Top tier. All of the nightmare jumpscares are so cool though

In my opinion Golden Freddy has the best FNAF 1 jumpscare. It’s not necessarily the scariest one, but I think it’s the best one because of the unknown factor. At the time when the game was released Golden Freddy was the only character who was given absolutely no explanation as to why he was there and was never even mentioned in game at all. His mechanics were seemingly random and the fact that he appears slumped over in the office before the still image with a lower pitch sound appears on your screen, and then proceeds to close your game, is just so unsettling.

I agree with you with everything except FNAF 4. BB was terrifying to me.

I love how in the Chapter's, the Ruin Chapter is just called "Rune DLC."

Mangle beats out Foxy's jumpscare for me in FNAF2, imo it takes the elements you like about Foxy (that I find easy to predict) and applies that certification of uncertainty to the timing.. The jumpscare is also unique and sort of reminiscent of "the bite", even though it's a very uncommon jumpscare there's a lot of special qualities to it that bumps it up waay above Foxy's (which was already lower than a few other animatronics to begin with for me, I don't really like it all that much, from tension to timing to quantity.. it never really pays off all that well cept for the first few times).

my personal favorite for ruin is the ruined monty jumpscare, there's just something about seeing cassie try to hold his jaws back before he bites down. overall the ruin jumpscares are a huge improvement from the security breach jumpscares cuz, yknow, they're actually trying to kill cassie in that game

Unpopular opinion: Springtrap's jumpscares are actually good. Especially the one on the the right side of the office. I find the jumpscare realistic which for me adds to the creepiness. Coupled with the sound design and its actually pretty solid. Nightmare Bonnie's jumpscare in the room is one of the best ones in the series. Freddy's hallway jump scare is way more scary than his power outage one. For me its the random timing and his eyes. He looks way more intimidating than when the lights are out.

Personally, my favorite Fnaf 4 jumpscare is Nightmare Freddy's one when you're facing the bed. I love how he picks you up, it's just about the most dynamic jumpscare in the series (until Security Breach Ruin anyway)

I love all the fnaf 4 jumpscares. I got so unnerved by Nightmare that I couldn’t look at that jumpscare image 4 years. I think the jumpscare of Foxy’s face when u open the closet is so good, which I think is the best bc it’s both sudden & lingering … but also a relief bc it’s not lethal. All the other fnaf 4 jumpscares r all rlly beautiful so I like all of them. Disagree with ucn. I think Fredbear bc that’s the only jumpscare that rlly shook me - even though I don’t play it.

For FNAF 3, the puppet jumpscare is indeed really special. But Phantom foxy's one is also to mention, as unlike the others, he appear insdie your office, surprising you more. You start the night 5, you do expect Bonnie or Chica, you light the corridor and you see a yellow unknow bear and before you have the time to say "What the..." it jumpsacre you. Total surprise

The actual best one for naff one is the golden Freddy, even though you need to use custom night

For FNAF 4, I only played it recently but the first real jumpscare I got was on night 3 with chica. I literally jumped out of my chair and fell over. But realistically any of the animatronics would make me do that on the first time. That volume is nuts.

Best fnaf 1 jumpscare is golden freddy by a long shot because it takes you by surprise so much

personally i'd say the best jumpscares in each game are: 1 - golden freddy, it feels unsettling and it crashes your game, it feels like you stumbled upon something you shouldnt 2 - probably foxy or the puppet, foxy straight up lunges at you from the hallway and since he bypasses the freddy mask you could be in the middle of feeling safe then have him give you a heart attack, the puppet has buildup to the scare with the music box 3 - going with the puppet as well, unsettling as hell. however if you dont count that one as a jumpscare then its phantom chica, you just turn to the left and she just gives you a heart attack. another thing that helps is she makes similar movements to springtrap so you might think its an actual game ending jumpscare for a sec 4 - nightmare, this is basically the golden freddy of FNaF 4, nightmare is literally a giant living shadow with piercing red eyes, and his jumpscare just gives you a sort of "off" feeling like you encountered something you shouldnt have SL - ballora is what im gonna go with here as well, not only does she come from a really weird position, but she looks horrifying 6 - molten freddy is who im gonna go with here after some thinking, he's always been the most unsettling to me and his face looks stretched and warped HW - idk SB - im gonna go with ruined roxy, she looks like she is crying tar from her eyes, she also lunges at you SB:R - im gonna go with monty, he has several segments where he just pops out at you

opinions: FNAF 1: Freddy's other jumpscare is scarier because it happens when you dont expect it sometimes. FNAF 2: I agree, foxy's jumpscare is the scariest one. FNAF 3: Phantom foxy. He always scares me when I turn around and dont expect him to be there. Phantom puppet isn't really a jumpscare. FNAF 4: I haven't played much of fnaf 4, but I ALWAYS die to nightmare chica. The fact that she has 3 layers of teeth is just unsettling. FNAF SL: I've never played this game, but I've watched other people play it, and I gotta say, funtime foxy. It's just a dark room and you hardly know when he'll get you. FFPS: Agreed, scrap baby. Although I havent played it either. UCN: Even though he doesn't just get you in a normal round, I think Fredbear's is the most scary because of the scream, and how its the only jumpscare that doesn't look like it's just waving its arms at you. Never played the rest (except a very small bit of Help Wanted) but yeah those are my opinions

Great list!!! I think mine would be Foxy for fnaf 1 (controversial, ik, also I may be a bit biased lol- I've just always really liked his), Mangle for fnaf 2 bc that one can also be unpredictable & the way they just hang above you & don't always immediately attack is really nerve-wracking. For fnaf 3, (again controversial & again maybe bias) is Springtrap. His just feels human. It doesn't feel as robotic as the others & I think that's a neat touch. I also think it matches William's personality in a way?? He's just so casual about it lmao. For fnaf 4, I agree with Nightmare Bonnie! He's super menacing & the jumpscare is good. Nightmare Fredbear's a great runner-up though. For sister location, I'd pick Funtime Foxy bc that section *terrifies* me. For pizzeria sim, I agree with Scrapbaby! & for UCN I agree with Springtrap! For Help Wanted, I'm picking Baby. She's so scary when she spots you and guns it for the closet 😭. For Security Breach, I've gotta go with Vanny. I love the glitch effect they do during the lead-up & also how her walk cycle changes once she gets close to you. & lastly, for Ruin, I'm gonna also go with Shattered Freddy! The Mimic is a close second though, especially when it's in the mascot costume. That amalgamation alone freaks me out 💀. Anyways! Long comment, sorry!! Loved the video :D

i really dont like mangle’s, it’s way too predictable. my favorite in fnaf 2 is foxy’s and my favorite in fnaf 1 is freddy’s. i agree with nightmare bonny and springtrap (despite what other ppl say, i just think that the phantom jumpscares arent scary at all cuz they r way to preditcable, but fnaf 3 overall is very predictable and i barely get jumpscared with how ez it is)

Foxy FNAF 1 is just,... *LOL.* Everything else though, I can kind of agree with. - Mangle for the longest time I never knew how to deal with. - Springtrap is literally human. - FNAF 4 I would swap Nightmare Bonnie with Nightmare Fredbear: that big guy is just as intimidating as they come. - Sister Location, I think I'd go with Ennard. Ballora, Funtime Foxy, and Funtime Freddy to a lesser extent all manage to be about equally as scary, and I'd attribute that to how dark their respective areas are. Like Bill Paxton once so wisely said, it's like swimming with a shark in dark waters: you know it's there, but you just can't see it. However, similar to Springtrap, there's something about Ennard that feels absolutely haunting, and that's because he is smart. And also ruthless. - Pizzeria Sim I don't have one: every single jumpscare in that game is sh!t. - UCN I haven't played enough to decide which is the scariest jumpscare, but I'm gonna say Fredbear's for now because,... wow. - Security Breach it's the staff bots by a landslide, and Ruin, Shattered Freddy is actually fair. It's between him and the Mimic.

The best security breach jumpscare is with no doubt white woman jumpscare.

2:24 I actually find Nightmare Chica's jumpscare to be even more scary than Bonnie's. Chica looks so deteriorated, and she has THREE sets of teeth in her mouth. And the way the jumpscare plays, like she's throwing the boy up and down, bringing him near definitely gave me a huge adrenaline rush when I first played the game.

Imo, the best Security Breach jumpscare is Shattered Roxy. The way she just rushes at you gives so much tension and anxiety. Plus, her design tops it off.

For me: Fnaf 1 golden freddy Fnaf 2 Puppet Fnaf 3 Fantom foxy Fnaf 4 nightmare Fnaf 5 funtime freddy Fnaf 6 molten freddy Fnaf 7 freadbear Fnaf 8 baby plushie Fnaf 9 Roxy Fnaf 9 ruined dlc ruined monty.

I honestly love all the fnaf SL jumpscares (except yendo ofc) Funtimes having the faceplates, minireenas have a bland jumpscare but it having a creepy eerie face like puppet without its makeup is terrifying enough.

I think Freddys hallway jumpscare is better than his powerout jumpscare, even if the powerout one is still really good, and iconic even

Personally i wouldve picked nightmare as its like golden freddy making an eerie noise while it stares you down and ultimately to your game crashing

Tbh the power outage jumpscare just looks very goofy, the lighting is off and he just shakes around like a toddler playing with his toy

Nightmare bonnie is great but nightmare fredbear is definitely the scariest for me because he feels like the biggest threat in the series with how he sprints through the halls and feels like he can kill you at any second

Fnaf 3 for me is phantom Freddy because you see him walking down the hall and he disappears for a brief time before popping up in your face

The best FnaF 6 jumpscare is Lefty because you’ll be surviving and whatnot until you die and realize that your 5 dollar friend with an unstable head has just betrayed you and there’s nothing you can do about it.

I cant take the fnaf 1 power outage jumpscare seriously. Freddy looks so goofy in it, no wonder it's a meme at this point

I prefer Springtrap’s FNAF 3 jumpscare because instead of biting INFRONT of your face or screaming, he just smiles at you maniacally after staring you down. Most of the animatronics kill you because they are angry but springtrap tries to kill you because he is insane and he feels good when he kills people. He doesn’t have the power to scream because his vocal chords were ripped during the spring lock failure and he can only talk through a voice box in the suit with his gruff voice. He also can’t bite because he doesn’t have full control of his suit. Biting as he does in UCN doesn’t fit his character and the only way he does it is because he is just a copy and not the real William Afton. This is also a reason that Phantom Foxy’s jumpscare is my favorite in fnaf 3 because he is unexpected and actually tries to bite you instead of biting infront of your face.
