Quite often those whose criticism is part of game play are the worst at what they do... Often they do not win Come dine with me... good example But on Four in a bed they do because they rig it by holding back a large percentage of money to every other participant............😮😢😮

Omg yes! It’s the couples who are pulling the sofa covers off, climbing on chairs to find dust on the lampshade and behind the tv bracket so they can score a 5. But when it’s their B&B and someone scores them an 8 because there were hairs in the bed, it’s all “oh they’re, game playing. This is tactical!” As if they weren’t 😅

Is it just me who not only loves this show for many reasons such as the drama, petty behaviour, different walks of life but seeing which colour payment envelopes each participant gets during the conclusion when they all give each other the payments? Edit: yes what I wrote is completely sad and I need to re-evaluate my existence lol 😂

As far as I know since that's how it appears to be on the show, the colour scheme of the envelopes corresponds to the order in which each B&B hosts. If that makes sense lol

True. A bedroom is primarily for sleeping. So why would you pay even a penny for a bedroom where you were prevented from getting a night's sleep? The owner should compensate you if nothing else.

Gotta be honest I only started watching this show last year, and it absolutely cracks me up when the contestants start arguing and being petty - the pettier they are the funnier I find it. 🤣

That does always make me chuckle when people on the show say we can't do anything about this that or the other as if they had no hand in choosing to open a business in that location or choosing to buy a building where they can't install double glazing to keep out the noise for example. My favourite excuses are the ones they come up with for being downright grotty dives though.

Ikr, some of the guests are so pedantic its beyond belief. That Basil Fawlty quote “you’re all too busy sticking your noses into every corner, looking for things to complain about,” sums any guest, customer, diner or anyone who has a petty-minded view on everything & has unreasonably high expectations.

I don't understand how any of these people think acting like petty children is going to aid their business. The only aggression I respect is when other contestants don't look for possible genuine criticism and just say whatever will justify their game-playing. It robs the owners of an opportunity to get feedback to improve their business, instead they just get petty things that they can't really change.

If the trains totally ruin your sleep then why would you want to go back. A good night's sleep is one of if not thee most important thing. Yet he smuggly says its not his fault where the BnB is located. No its not but if you want the truth you bought a BnB in a shit location.

The first one could certainly be cleaner but 2/10 and £20 is harsh. I would have given him about 5/10 and £45. Aside from the shower issue and some cobwebs, it looked comfy enough. But could certainly improve.

I've stayed in a £20 a night room in Blackpool. It was like a back bedroom from the 1950s,so no comparison. Having said that,it was clean and had everything one would need. Absolute bargain.

Liked the guys comments about a chicken shack. That couple complaining about dust were so rude

That last one is outrageous. A hotel room for £65.00 is amazing and I wouldn’t expect much more than a bunk bed for that!

All week Justin and the mother and daughter from Blackpool seemed to have a problem with them, obviously we don't know what happens behind the scenes, but from the edit it appears they don't like Raqeeb in particular because he is young, ambitious, well presented and confident.

@@lovemykiss9 the thing is, in the context of the competition giving such a low percentage can be seen as pushing them out of the game, another in the group had subtracted just two pounds due to dust to pay for a feather duster, showing that they had a problem with it but still sort of playing along with the game I see Raq and Rajs point if it was just normal life, and they obviously were very displeased, but you might argue if they were playing the game a bit more 'fairly' they might have subtracted 20 rather than just giving 20

What is your hourly wage? Government mandated minimum wage in the UK is £9.18 per hour. Let's assume you as a single staff member spend 1 hour cleaning a room. Let's add another hour for preparing, cooking, serving and cleaning up after breakfast. That's really being conservative but that's £20.36 just in bare basic labour costs at minimum wage. We aren't even considering here the labour for doing things like laundry of bedding, towels etc. We haven't considered the cost of providing toiletries, the cost of cleaning materials, the cost of breakfast ingredients, the cost of electricity, the cost of gas heating, the cost of providing wifi and other amenities, the cost of furnishings and decor etc. I think you have a very low bar for what you consider shameless profiteering

1st situation: Having watched the programme, I honestly would not have stayed at that man's B&B - neither would I have stayed at the Blackpool B&B that the mother & daughter ran. They were both below a standard I would accept - so they'd both have had zero payment from me! They may be cheap, but there are other B&Bs out there that charge the same & manage to have nice, clean rooms. It's not right that customers paying a lower rate should have to put up with cleanliness issues, they deserve better! Btw, the shower head truly was nasty - covered in scale & dirty - that is due to not cleaning it & no other reason! The outcome of the show was exactly correct with 1st & 2nd places.
