Thanks Brother... I'm using this to document Recovery of Missing Persons in the vehicles underwater. We have solved 5 Cold Cases this year. The export to Pro Res 442 tip is a big help, I always shoot in darkness and low visibility, the compression was pixelating my exports. Much appreciated. 🙏

Great info. Question for you. When recording in dive case mode is there an indicator that tells you it’s really in dive case mode? I can’t tell. The screen looks the same as it does when in regular mode. I just want to be sure I am in fact still on dive case mode when underwater. Thanks

You can check it via the buttons - they get new functions in Dive Case Mode

In the long run yes - you should always clean it with fresh water

I know it's made for underwater, how is the scratch resistant? Wondering if I should buy one, cut the housing in half and use it as lens protector.

Do you know if the aliexpress generic one is the same of the oficial dive case that costs 2x more?

Thanks for the review. Do you know of any carrying cases with pre-molded holes that hold the invisible case? The invisible case is thicker than the Gen 1 case and I cannot find any carrying cases that can handle it.

Hi - I'm not sure if it still fits with the lens guards - but you shouldn't use them in the dive case - this could have a negative effect on the image quality.

Great video about underwater filming… took note that you said you should have the case perpendicular to the sun. However noticed at ~12:25 it was not??? Is this possibly because it appeared that you’re diving deeper and at that point refraction is less?

On insta360's site, there's a chat button on the lower right. They said the reg selfie stick is waterproof. I would imagine you'll want to rinse it with clean water after every use

hello, nice video! Little question, can you make still pictures with a delay of 3 sec or more to be able to move the stick away, I saw on the Video that you can change from video to still but not with a delay?

Yes, that is possible - you just have to set it before you activate dive case mode

Hi! I have used X3 for video at 30 mt underwater but when I have used the torch to have more light, the image become completly red! How can I solve this problem? Thank you!

Can it stitch normally on the ground

I've watched nearly every video I can find to solve my issue. I've updated the PC studio, the app and camera. Yet, for some reason both of my cameras will not operate in the new dive case. It's still working like it would in the old case where you still use the front buttons to start and stop recording. I've never gotten the option to switch to the new case. Been at this for 4 hrs now with no luck. I've got no idea what to try. Any ideas?

A question: If I may have you compared the results of the old case with the new one, I found yesterday that I video quality was poor compared to the old x3 case. Mostly, the sharpness of the image?

@MountMediaChannel no for obvious reasons. I hope to go in a deep pool with the x3 with both cases. I will swap the cases and repeate I will change the case software setting. Obviously, the version of the firmware will be different

Difficult to answer - underwater shots with invisible selfie stick effect are cool - but the housing is also relatively expensive.

Kind of sad that without dive case it is blurry as he said in 360 mode I wish I knew

I tried today with the new underwater case… very disappointing. Blurry as hell. Colors are mehhh. My old DJI Osmo is doing 10x better… I will try to switch the sharpness to high and not low as you have recommended…

You loose some color but the uses out way traditional cameras. The 360 aspect was awesome with my group to catch everything.
