🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴🍴
✅Ingredients
Dough:
• 1 cup warm milk
• 1 tablespoon instant dry yeast
• 2 tablespoons white granulated sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 3 tablespoons salted butter, softened
• 1 large egg
• 3 cups all-purpose flour
Filling:
• 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
Glaze:
• 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
• 1/4 cup salted butter, softened
• 1 cup powdered sugar
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1-2 tablespoons milk
✅Instructions
1️⃣ 00:28 - In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine warm milk, yeast, sugar, salt, butter, and eggs. Add in flour. Using a dough hook, turn the mixer on to a low speed.
2️⃣ 02:00 - Once the flour starts to incorporate into the dough, increase the speed to a medium range. Add more flour as necessary so that the dough pulls away from the sides of the bowl. The dough mixture should be tacky, but not stick to your hands. It should be soft. Add more or less flour until the dough reaches the desired consistency. The amount of flour you add in bread making is always an approximation and you should go by feel.
3️⃣ 02:37 - Transfer the dough to a lightly greased mixing bowl. Cover with a towel and let rise until double in size, about 1 hour.
4️⃣ 03:21 - Lightly grease a baking sheet. Punch down the dough and roll into a 12 inch by 18 inch rectangle.
5️⃣ 03:43 - Brush the dough with 1/2 cup melted butter. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle on top of the melted butter. Roll up tightly lengthwise so you have one long roll. Use plain dental floss or a sharp knife to cut the dough into 12 one-inch slices.
6️⃣ 04:53 - Place the slices onto a lightly 9x13 pan. Cover and let rise 30 to 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Bake the rolls for about 14 minutes, until just kissed with brown on top.
7️⃣ 05:32 - While the cinnamon rolls are baking, make the cream cheese glaze by using a hand mixer to whip together cream cheese and butter in a bowl until light and fluffy. Whip in powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Add enough milk to achieve a drizzle-like consistency.
8️⃣ 06:29 - Frost the rolls while still warm. Serve immediately or cool and store. Stays good for 4 to 5 days.

I made these cinnamon rolls from the video 5 years ago for my sisters bridal shower a couple years ago. I’ve become the “cinnamon roll” guy at my family functions. It’s the most commonly requested thing I am asked to make. They’re absolutely incredible and I have the recipe saved for any time I need a refresher on it. You hit this recipe out of the park!

The absolute best recipe! Made it sooo many times and turned out amazing! I also used the dough recipe for other bakings like “simple croissants” and filled them with jam or Nutella. The dough is soft and moist days after baking but who can resist not to eat them all lol?💕

1 thing I do want to ask. In the last couple years, Cinnamon has begun triggering some heartburn for me. Any advice on how to do a "cinnamon roll" that doesn't use cinnamon as the flavor? I know how dumb that sounds, but I don't know how to ask it better. Thanks for your patience with me.

I've got you! I have a bunch of other "cinnamon roll" recipes of different flavors that aren't necessarily cinnamon. You could easily experiment with different fillings for the center. Jams, jellies, and preserves are good. You could swap out the spices and go for different warm spices like cardamom. Or you could do something like chocolate chips and nuts or a nutella spread.

@@Thestayathomechef I had not considered jams or jellies. That's...that's really clever...that's a world of options. I'm a big fan of @SweetAmbsCookies and she famously uses cardamom in her cookie recipe. So I may have to try that. Thanks so much. That's awesome.

I made these tonight with the predicted snow what could any better. I will admit I was a little skeptical at first cause I have tried so many different receipes that just was not good. Most of them were so dry and hard as a brick the next day. Anyone looking for a good receipe this is the one. I was very well pleased with softeness of these rolls. I dont like to post unless I have tried someone's receipe. They were so good.My 2 grown grandson ate them all , I did manage to get 2 of them. This receipe will go in my cook book and I will look no further. Thank you so much for this receipe. If anyone tries this, just don't overtake them. I actually cooked mine for 16 min. at 325.

This was my first ever attempt at making cinnamon rolls, and they turned out to be delicious. I was a bit hesitant and figured I would somehow not end up with a good result. I went for it anyway and it really is such a simple recipe, and ended up being an absolute hit at home. The rolls have such wonderful texture and flavors. Thanks so much for making it available! I’m also excited that I know how to make cinnamon rolls and no longer need to buy from Cinnabon. :)

Making a practice batch for...Christmas. I have one issue, which I have a question about. The dough rises well the first time. However, They don't look like yours after the second rise. They don't look much bigger than when they were first cut and rolled (I refrigerate them overnight and set them near a heating vent in the morning). This morning they sat for an hour and a half and didn't change much. It is very cold in my house, but again, I put them near a warm place. What am I doing wrong? Should I put them in a warm oven to warm up when I get them out of the refrigerator in the morning? They are puffing up pretty nicely while baking!

Use a ruler to measure.....forget that piece of paper! You should use a ruler that's dedicated to strictly kitchen use and should be 18 inches long. Also, put plain dental floss under the rolled dough, pull up each end and criss cross each strand and pull the ends. This prevents any tearing made by any knife. You will get clean edges on each cut piece.

Just made these and these are my third attempt at cinnamon rolls! They smell heavenly and the icing is already better then the first recipe I tried, cannot wait to eat them! 🤤
