Thanks for the video! I had a cheaper helping hands that were just junk but worked fine for a bit. I just ordered it and have this coming soon and will be very happy with it!

Powdercoat it blue and laser your logo on it. That seems like a really sweet set up.

If I want to solder two wires together can I place them next to each other easily or is there spring back in the arms that will create a gap as soon as I let go of the arms?

The arms hold their position quite well. There will be a little spring back but you can compensate for this by bending the arms a little further than needed. I use mine to solder wires together weekly and love it.

Good morning, Thanks for the review. I was looking for a holding scheme and I think you sold me on this. Just wondering if you have any idea for a magnifying scheme for extra small circuits? Thanks again

These "helping hands" are about as flexible as a lead pipe. The triangle style link arms are the way to go.

They have worked well for me when I use them, but I use the Panavise more than the arms.

these were bad. Not only do they not stay where you put them, they melt when trying to solder

I've been using several of the quad-hands setups for almost 5 years now, and have not experienced any melting, or flexibility issues.

Nothing new, just a copy of what some people have built for them self's using flexible water/oil coolant pipe hose. A simple build for a fraction of the price.
