Well. I play germany. Right now I have my 8.3 lineup and I farm SL for my 8.7. Never really touched Russian tanks over 2.0 but I know how it is fighting against them😂

They should have a game mode with only the the max heavy tank being T-54 and IS4-M. You know,the good old days. Maybe it will come though,if we bugg them enough together. ;) :) LIke Whitmann Spirit his channel ,he only plays those tiers and only tanks and he is realy really good. Check him out. (Whitmann Spirit is his channel,Mamba Noir and Abteilung Hertzofg are his IGN's. Lvl 100 aswell. Plays very good and strategic and that on a Ps4.

The intro happened to me to. Shot a Tiger 2 in the ammo storage in the back of the turret. No ammo rack, breech or crew death. Just a 'hit' for 10 SL. Other time I shot a 88 at the hull of a FV4204 center mass and it bounced. Hull break a few times on my tank tracks. I love this game.

Reason the Kugelblitz is so resilient is the armoured plating between the turret crew and the forward positions in the hull. Unless you railgun them all, you'll take 2 shots.

Playing SU-122-54 is a hell of a expierence until you unlock the better APHE and the APDS (HEAT is not necessary) then you finally become viable, also you need to get the mobility modifications or you are gonna get gangbanged by British rail guns and American light vehicles

oh crap I didn't realize those canisters on the back of the is-3 were the smoke grenades and they just rolled off! thats so dope!!!

My first game in the IS-3 (which was like a week ago) I got max up tier and had to fight Chieftains and their 320mm APDS. They STILL couldn't pen my UFP. I felt super stronk.

The 88 can pen the IS-3 mantlet where the gunner optic is, it’s quite small though. Also the kugle has a ball turret which is pretty much a ball of armor in which those three guys are contained and it allowed that guy to survive that much

I have found in certain tanks moving slightly as a round hits you can save you in other tanks that shit can get weird For example a panther A with a turret angle and hull at 30 degrees bounces like mad, but move and things just slip in

To be fair, for 16:20 the kugle blitz has a ball turret, which is completely enclosed with 30mm armor, which stops spalling most of thr time

Hey phly. Due to most top tier premiums having been set to at least 9.0, the maus is playable agian and loads of fun

This video really shows just how op the Kugelblitz’s survivability is. 3 122mm shots and 3 105mm shots. This video needs to be seen to raise awareness.

IS3 and BMP1 is a super good lineup because if you are uptiered you can use the BMP’s heat and if you are down tiered you can eat the Germans with their tiny 88s that can’t do anything against you. Unless they’ve nerfed the BMP1 by now

damn speaking of back in the day, yall remember when the tiger 10.5 and the is-4m where the top tier vehicles so when you used the is4m you where basically unkillable

Churchill mkVII, especially in a downtier, fun as heck, plus no heat fs rounds

So I was on new Kursk the other day, playing the Maus. I saw a machine gun poking up over the hill, and I roughly knew the range so I sent a 128mm shell his way. It arced over the hill and dink straight into the cupola of an IS-3, knocking out all his crew. He didn't spawn again and I don't blame him.

@Phly I think what happened with the Kugel was, the turret is actually a fully enclosed ball so all your shrapnel ended up being caught inside it I'm surprised it's actually modelled tbh xD

The T32 is my favourite heavy tank in the game. Armour you can rely on at a fun battle rating not ruined by helicopters, but high enough to face some cool tanks as well. The maneuverability is great, and the turret rotation is quick. Lots of fun!

8:18 I think I know what happened. The machine gun port is a weak point and I think the Tiger shot close enough to it that the game messed up and sort of half-counted the hit, so the shell did damage, but it didn't have its full effect.

I just wanna say I came from WoT to WT and I must say i enjoy this game veeery much! Thank you Phly for making the content which I was watching for a long time now.

The IS-3 was the best a few years ago, but now with HEATFS and APFSDS it's just butter armor. For me the Tiger II H Sla 16 is the best heavy since its turret has more tracks covering, and more engine torque (diesel engine), plus 2x XP.

I’m glad to see the IS3 still holds some relevance in WT, it’s just been trashed in WoT, with premium variants that are by far superior or just as good with a gimmick (looking at you 703 ll)

Please play the Maus tank more. It's such a fun, unique, and big guy of a tank! If you can, use alot of smoke shells for cover as it is a slow big target. 👍🤗

the upper part of the gun or the "roof" above the breach should be a weak spot as it is only a thin layer of steel designed to lift while gun is replaced/mounted/maintained/installed.

1/3 of all incoming shells will ricochet from turret to hull, sometimes even at ~90°. NEXT GEN.

You can pen the 20mm plate ontop of the turret easily, in the sta 1 and 2 I've killed a few is-3s with m82 shot by shooting there

What if the devs added a random weather type event during a game like a storm , blizzard, heavy fog , that made it were aircraft couldn't fly , / had to land for so long . Or had to be stay above or below a certain altitude? Not every match but it could pop up for say 5 to 10 min . Just a thought.

Your sentence was is grammatically correct. 'One lineup' instead of 'Russian lineup' does not make it wrong.

Challenge time: Using the Japanese M42, in 1 game, you must first get 2 tank kills, then 2 Aircraft kills, followed by 2 more tank kills. In that order. You can use the fully upgraded M42 if you wish.

For some reason, this heavy thing is my favorite tank also (beside other Russian top tier heavies such as IS-6, IS-7, Object 279) - there is something about Russian heavies, they look mighty and imposing, germans are too large, boxy and unwieldy and US heavies are fine but lack personality, Russians are just in sweetspot. Unfortunately IS-3 comes at the sunset of heavy tanks in-game when most of the nations abandoned the concept. Not in his historical time but in his gaijin BR timeline. Yes against ww2 tech and when downtiered you're menace but on your BR there is usually a substantial number of tanks that can Penn you even frontally which kinda leaves you as slowish, unwieldy opponent with low Penn gun (great post-Penn damage thou) and bad reload. It's still a competent vehicle that sometimes can work great, but it's unfortunately not a WT meta.

Please make a video on the I-16 TYPE 10 with some historical information

Phly could you play Sim ground sometime? Sim ground is wonderful because you don't need any special equipment to play tanks, and the amount of planes interfering is greatly reduced. Even when you get bombed you know that the person actually used some skill to bomb you. Not enough people play this wonderful mode, and it could use some exposure.

T28 is obviously the best, hold w and profit. You move so slow that you basically have a stabilizer and nothing can pen you from the front at that tier besides the Italian pasta launchers and only from close range
