    I am also a female guitarist, and pro Luthier. They are nice, but, for the money( $2000’and up.)I’d much rather have my Ibanez RG 550 made in Japan for only $1000. which I absolutely love! And if I wanted to upgrade the pickups, etc, it would still be less. 🎸🤘🏻😊

    They are really awesome guitars Miss Rachel. I have a question though, I know that you really also like Ibanez guitars, and I'm a beginning player, learning acoustic but I'm ready for my first electric guitar, I'm leaning more towards a strat, and I saw an Ibanez Gio RGX, it only costs $200 and looks great and sounds great too based on different reviews I've seen but alot of people also say this model is crap, probably I'm guessing because this model is made in China but I was wondering if you own or have ever played one and if you have, I was wanting your opinion so I can better decide for myself

    As a life long strat player, I want you to understand that the middle single coil pickup is where Rock and Roll rhythm guitar lives. First, set the pickup height a bit higher than most mfrs do at the factory. Roll the tone back to btw 5-7, use the volume in conjunction with your favorite gain pedal to dial in the appropriate level of crunch, and don’t be tempted to switch to the bridge humbucker. You will sound great, and you won’t sound like every other player in every other bar band in the world. Nashville session guys know, that middle pickup is there for a good reason.

    Hey, Rachelf: Those actually sound like great guitars and the prices are very reasonable. If I didn't already own fourteen custom Fenders and Gibsons, I would definitely give them a try if I was just starting out. It is great to see you again! You have made incredible progress since I first started watching your videos from the very beginning. You inspired me, and I just sent off my fifth CD album to be produced so that I can give them out, for free, to the 250+ people on my eBlast list who have been following my musical journey--inspired by YOU! Cheers!

    I can’t recall where I saw this brand featured before, but I definitely saw them about a year ago from someone who had gotten one second hand and posted impressions online. Nice to see you have a positive impression too! They really do look and sound great. Seems like the fit and finish, as well as playability are great too. I only worry about their price point. There’s so much competition these days. Will Americans drop $1000+ on an unknown brand? I would love to see them offer great guitars at a $500-$600 price point, and even one that’s more like $300-$400. Less fancy and more focus on quality/playability. That’s how they might build a following and confidence where people will be willing to spend much more money on higher end versions.

    The quilted top looks nice. Also having the rounded smooth wood in the back must make it comfortable, specially at the bolt on area where the neck meets the body when playing high notes. That’s a very affordable price for the type of high quality craftsmanship.

As a little older beginner, just within the last month I've gone from wanting to play to owning 3 guitars now. Because of your video's I purchased the cool ocean paint skeem Ibanez RG, a Fedner Redondo in blue and just last week picked up a Baby Taylor Mahogany. Love them all. I'm getting to be a junkie already:-) Thanks again Rachel, you have been a MASSIVE inspiration:-) You may not know any of us outside of our comments but I beleive you have made an impact in all our lives. They were shipped directly from China to me, not sure if they are planning on having a US distributor in the future or not though. When at my desk I've actually been mostly just using Bias FX 2 with headphones/studio speakers for a bit now, but I do like how the THR looks on the desk! Have been using practice amps elsewhere in my apartment still though :)

    OK... so sorry, last comment. I'd love to know what Amp and or Moore pedal settings you normally use. My electric Ibanez is the sam eas yours but sounds nothing like yours. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. I have been playing around with my new Spark AMP and it's cool settings and the Moore pedal so I'll eventually get there:-)

  • @RachelfGuitar

    @RachelfGuitar

    9 ай бұрын

    For my videos I'm usually actually using Bias FX 2 modeling software for the tones. I use amps/the MOOER pedal more on the go away from my desk. I guess the Spark Amp should have similar tones to Bias FX 2 though, but I haven't tried it yet. I often use the "Steel Mask" preset (or some variant of it) in Bias if that helps!
