THE BEST GRILL I'VE EVER SEEN! | SHOULD IT BE ILLEGAL? | BBQ iT | Vlogmas Ep.11

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I simply can say it better. This is by far the best grill I've ever laid eyes on. Change my mind! The Weber Charcoal Summit is a piece of art, and design genius. I don't have one yet, but I'll be cooking on one somehow soon!! THE WEBER KAMADO!!
EDIT!!
Since posting, my awesome audience has informed me that this is the old generation version of this model. So for the new ones, with different features and cost, go to weber.com and peep it! Thanks you guys!

I just received this grill from Weber last week and enjoyed putting it together, but not half as much as firing it up and cooking on it. The reasons for buying this grill came about after owning 3 different ceramic kamados 1. it's quicker temp recovery if you overshoot your target temperature 2. it's 125lbs so you don't need 2-3 people to move it, the new model has 3 turning/locking casters 3. the top vent allows you to go from 225 to 500 on the dome for searing in much shorter time 4. the parts are quickly interchangeable for ease of operation 5. It's efficient, holds temp well and the temp gauge that came with mine is within a few degrees of a temp probe I used to check it. I think I lucked out here. 5. true two zone cooking like my Primo but quicker to set up here. 6. clean ups a breeze with the vent/clean-up system securely attached below. The grill you are featuring on the video is an older Summit, the newer unit has a one piece diffuser plate without the hinges, 3 turning/locking casters and my unit didn't have the propane assist but sold without for $1149 delivered. Weber even threw in a cover (free) and a free 125 recipe bbq cook book of all their favorites. Yah, this unit is up and running in no time while one of my heavier units are still absorbing the heat in their massive bodies before coming to temp. Get the S&Sear low profile basket made for this, it makes life even easier. Thanks for the demo, I like your adventures...road and BBQ

@@justinturdeau2383 3 months ago Geeez, I'll cook in 20's I'd say maybe the teens. If your alluding to the ability of the Summit being unable to cook below zero well I really couldn't say. However, if it did I would reach to my Primo or Kamodo Kamado to pick up the slack. Having these work horses in my stable gives me the ability to cover the bases and too know what each unit is best suited for. The Weber is a useful tool, it's quick off the line and ready to go while the others are still heating up. Kind of like the tortoise and the hare, but be careful, once those heavy behemoths get rolling they're so consistent their always in the race.

I recently got this grill and absolutely love it. I’ve always had the 22” regular model but the options on this is amazing. Direct, indirect and smoke is all covered on this grill. It maintains smoke temps like a champ even in very cold weather. I’ve literally smoked meat on this in 20 degree temps and it performed flawlessly. I hesitated initially because of the price but so glad I pulled the trigger. Love it.

The new model E6 ditches the propane ignition. It’s usually around $1100. The performance is amazing on these. I use a fireboard controller and bbqguru pit viper fan. My other grill is a Yoder ys640s. I’m set for a long time.

Thanks for sharing. I think on the newer model, they got read of the Super heavy Staineless Steel defuser olate that ooens on both side, so you can easily add more charcoal without having to remove the defuser plate. The New defuser plate is cheaper Stainelss Steel guage and must be removed ro add charcoal? Also instead of the Model with the Stainless Steel Table that had a solid bottom shelf has been replaces with a great shelf? Which I dont like because things can fall through the grate shlef.

I've got one of these down here in Australia. I love it to bits as it cooks anything well and very easy to use doing so. I liked my Kettle but love this bbq a hell of a lot more. The only difference is we aren't allowed to have a gas starter on our charcoal bbq's. It's a law thing I've been told.

What a great video. Please correct me but Weber no longer manufactures this grill Summit Charcoal Grill with snap-jet. The new ones are more affordable with no snap-jet. Personally, I like the option of having the snap-jet plus when you light up your charcoal it isn’t as smokey. I know, I know it’s charcoal grilling but lighting it up with the propane is fast and easy. Leave like 3/5 mins max shut off and 🔥is set. Purchased mine in May of 2020. Couldn’t go out with family for burgers, steaks, etc. Love my WSCG. I’d choose this over the green egg. As for the Kamado Joe Classic III that system is nice because it has all sorts of cool accessories but the WSCG is just as nice plus more affordable and it’s made in the USA. If you can find this model vs. the newer one this model is way better. The plate diffuser has those hinge’s for adding new charcoal or wood. The newer platform does not offer that option. Kinda lame from Weber but still serviceable.

I've got mine 3 years ago. It is the best cooker I've cooked on, period. It beats the BGE XL, KJ Big Joe and all other famous 24" competitors. It is very fuel efficient, built like a tank, has the Weber customer support, not too heavy (so we can lift it on our porch during the winter), cools back after an overshoot in about 10-15 mins (let's see a kamado do that), easy to add fuel and smokewood during the low n slow cooks, runs on briquettes and/or charcoal and... IS DIRT CHEAP compared to the competition. The gas assist is of no use to me, I'm glad they took that off on the latest model. This thing IS the summit for a reason. Get yours today!

All the grills I have had that look like that have rusted. Hence, I switched to a ceramic Kamado and a Blaze All aluminum Kamado. I guess you h haven't seen those yet. A ceramic Joe Kamado is much much better than the Weber and the Blaze all Aluminum is for me the ultimate grill (nothing to rust or crack, no gasket to replace).

It doesn't get as hot as a Kamado. So wood fire pizza isn't an option.

Thanks for commenting. Non of these videos are sponsored by anyone. B&B is a sponsor of me and my show. This is vlogmas, a video every day until Christmas, so long videos are hard to pull off r now, while working full time. I'll be doing more cooks starting this week, so no worries! The old stuff is still here!

I'll never buy a Weber kettle again . The triangular Y shaped shut off mechanism is made from aluminum that bends upward with the slightest obstruction from coals . And it stays bent upward , keeping airflow going and the grill stays burning coals until they are completely dissipated . Not only is it wasteful , but dangerous . I have the new Performer and I HATE it because of this reason . The bottom ash catcher mount sucks too . $500 POS . I called Weber and they sent out a new shut off , but it's made of the same paper thin aluminum . I had my last Performer kettle with the 3 bottom vent disc system for 15 years . This is a perfect example of new management making garbage product , but keeping the profits high I guess . For that reason , Im out .

So here it is. I understand that your love for BBQ-ing has gone from a passion to a business, i get that and i commend you for that - all good. Watching this video, the entire time i felt sponsorship smoke being blown up my ass - and it wasn't even a clean smoke neither. It was the dirty smoke that non of us should cook with. Your presentation of the the inner and outer walls of this unit visually about 4" or so looked way over exaggerated by my observation , i maybe wrong for i haven't seen one in person yet. But prospectively that looked way off. The entire review felt like car salesman pitch to me and i felt like you have never had any first hand experience behind the wheel of this badboy. Correct me if I'm wrong. Maybe its time to pump the the brakes a little and re evaluate on how you do reviews for your followers. I think its safe to say that we all highly respect your experience and opinion, that's what we all come to your channel for. Respect your viewers and get back to the honest and non bias content. I'm not a hatter, but a concerned follower. Peace Brother

Having had Komodo Kamado, probably the best kamado cooker manufactured, I still went ahead and purchased the Weber Summit because it's a quicker unit off the line and still accomplishes 90% of all the goals. It fits into my perspective. Passing judgement on other grills comes with experience and should be accepted subjectively and that's what any BBQ description/philosophy is trying to pass along. Some people collect cars, some motorcycles, I collect BBQ and so does BBQ IT , so when someone offers an opinion I listen and judge it with a light hand. This is a good grill, it does what all the ceramics do, and if you were looking for a grill that just about does it all at an affordable price and would last , well it maybe a Summit.

There’s nothing about this that tells me it’s better than a ceramic kamado like BGE or especially the Kamado Joe. Beefy hinge? Kamado Joe has it. Multiple layers, KJ has it too. It even has more volume on the inside. The only advantage I see is being able to adjust temp faster. Pass.

@@BBQiT I think it depends on how they’re treated. I’ve had mine for 3 years and not one single piece of ceramic has cracked or broken. However, I also have my KJ BJ parked in one spot permanently. We’ll see how my KJ JR will do long term.

I’ve had my Gen 1 WSC for almost 2 years, I actually purchased the table model. It is a really well thought out and engineered product. I really like how easy it is to control the temp, if you overshoot it’s no problem to bring it back down. Ash clean out is a breeze and I can use lump or briquettes for fuel. I run a fan controller with mine (has a built in port) which is really convenient. I can easily move it around on the patio and when I’m done- everything gets stored with the grill under the cover. I think it’s a great product that hasn’t been marketed well.
