Alcohol ink is one of the most fascinating mediums to work with. The unpredictability of how they move & dry is interesting. I alcohol dye tissue, paper doilies, vintage book pages & rayon seam binding. Until recently I didn’t know I could use alcohol ink on a Gelli plate so I’m going to give it a try.

I have worked with Alcohol Inks a lot I love using a spray can of air to be used on a computer to keep it clean. It moves the alcohol ink around beautifully!

I'm loving your videos Froyle 🥰 with the hand sanitizer, I usually put it on the plate thickly, add the alcohol inks, then you can press your card straight into the colour and let the hand sanitizer evaporate :D no need to wait for it to dry to pull it with paint :D 🥰 xxx

Thank You love the paper. I have 4 of these Jet Blowers that I keep with my Photography equipment. Great for blowing dust off lens & photo sensor keeps from scratching either glass or filter.

thank you ,i love your channel .i watch pm artist studio alot,i only have alcohol markers ,i won a 120 set of them online after buying my own so i have many ,i wiil try this by putting my markers on plastic and spray with my 91 % alcohol ,

I've been wanting to try this. The video I watched showed that after the ink was dry, she put a small line of Alcohol Lift Ink on and spread it with a brayer. Then she lifted it. Didn't put white paint over top. A Ranger product. Got it off Amazon. Thanks for sharing.

Lots of people use isopropyl anything from 90 to 100% and it moves it round just as well and you can keep adding it and blowing it till you have what you want and I think it’s a lot cheaper

I have a turntable that I use when blowing air ,so I can turn it around while directing air. Good investment.

Froyle I watched a lady on KZread say if you use alcohol inks on your gelli plate ,clean it with baby oil , try it , it's also supposed to keep your gelli plate nice and clean and like new , I haven't used alcohol inks yet but I'm going to do what she suggested , though you might like to know .

How fantastic are those inks. I really love them. Love the tip of pulling the plate from the paper rather than the other way round. It's not good when the paper sticks. Thanks for another great session.

Hi Froyle. Wow, who'd have thought you'd get that great result with hand sanitizer - I can't wait to try it. Brilliant results too, with the Posca pens. Thank you so much for sharing these with us. A couple of months ago, I couldn't afford to buy new alcohol inks, so I bought some cheap, edible food colouring inks - what great results from them too. You don’t need to wait for it to dry. Try pulling them from the inks only while they are wet.

Hello Froyle, thank you so much for replying to my comment on another of your videos, I'm making my way through your content! Im an alcohol ink artist and have only barely dabbled with alcohol ink and gel plate. My question here is simple. The tissue paper you use...is that juat regular tissue paper that i would maybe buy at my Dollar store for gift stuffing or is this different? Many thanks!

That was so much fun, such beautiful prints Froyle. I have a question, I love the look of the alcohol inks but the smell never occurred to me, it was discovered after ending up in hospital that I was allergic to alcohol after having some herbal medicine one time (life is still a lot of fun as the somewhat responsible adult I have to say😁) so now I find any smell alcohol related is enough to make me feel very unwell, are the alcohol inks something that would likely give me another sleepover at the hospital if I tried it, I love the look of them but don't fancy the hospital sleepover so I just thought I'd ask you if they're super strong or not. Thanks for another fun Sunday .

Don't touch them! Yes, the smell is strong especially with the Iso alcohol as well. You don't need them, acrylic paints are just as colourful and much easier to deal with. Look after your health, it really is the most important element of your life. All the best, cHeers Froyle

Hi Froyle, glad you tried the hand sanitizer,it gives such a different look. I’ve found after using alcohol inks on the plate it’s good to give the plate a little tlc and condition with mineral oil, helps with sticking. Loving the prints x
