Handles a bit of everything

I've been looking for a new bag and I really like the backpack style. This may be a good upgrade to my 2.5 year old Plano that is falling apart. I really like the gear reviews, keep up the great work!

Love the glasses compartment

I've looked at this bag a few times, the big opening is the seller. It was sold out when I bought my Academy bag that you can use up to 4 3600 boxes on the bottom with a ton of space on top or undo the bottom platform and use 3-4 3700 boxes...it doesn't stand up well like the lews mach bag but is half the price. Good vid!

Nice bag. Everything is really well laid out. Loved the glass case front and center. And the main storage bin accessibility is perfect! And that lumbar padding is so key for comfort and supporting the angle of the bag against our back. Appreciated the color coordination of the whole shoot as well.

I've been using this bag for about a year now. Feels great on your back, it can feel unwieldy at first. But after many times out, this is my go to bag. Great review Jeff

I returned it a week later I liked it but then I didn't I did like that it fit the 3700 boxes but I went with the Ozark trails bag for $30 i fit everything that I fit in that Lew's bag into it maybe not made as good obvs but I really like it actually

Zippers just broke on my Samurai Sawara from over stuffing with tackle. This bag looks perfect for what I like to bring

I'm only 5'4 and I absolutely love this bag. It carries everything I need. Just like one would have everything already on the bass boat, (I don't have a boat yet) this bag holds everything I use or plan to use. And I never have to worry about leaving something behind at home. As an EMS, I travel a lot. So when the job(s) are done. I has this bag along with 2 rods/reels in my car. Let's me hit the nearest fishable body of water. Great review! Btw, that mesh in front, next to the thing that holds ur pliers, is great for holding your scale and fish grips.

That is my favorite bag that I have looked at so far. Great quality and can bring anything you need. Still would like a built in rod holder(I know, attach one...) and be able to get inside from the front pouch. Jeff, alternate the latch on the Planos to the other side (front/back) and you should have even more room.

Would love to see a video with how you ended up loading your backpack. All the boxes you ended up putting in, where you put tools, soft plastics etc.

Thanks for the confirmation! I've been interested in this bag. I have tried so many backpacks and been disappointed. Santa will be bringing soon.. And a Lews rod too... 😉

Going with 3 regular 3700 Plano edges, one 3700 Plano flex and one 3600 Plano flex for my terminal tackle. More than that would be really pushing the limits of interior space. Now I understand why most backpacks are smaller than this one, because it definitely is pretty heavy once loaded up. Look forward to using this backpack, excellent review.

Tackle bag update: the bag did everything it was supposed to. I used almost exclusively on my little pond prowler. But this year I’m switching to the Cabelas advanced angler magnum bag. It holds a few more boxes and I’m not really walking around with the bag anyway. Now I will have an obnoxiously large bag for pond hopping 😅

Ended up putting one 3700 regular Plano edge, two 3700 deep flex and one 3600 flex in my new Lews Mach backpack. . It felt like one more box could have been squeezed in but didn’t want access to boxes to be a pain. I understand why most backpacks are smaller, much more tackle equals much more weight 😆

How would you compare the storage vs the Lews duffle?

Got this bag for Father’s Day last year and it’s absolutely 🔥🔥 I’ve taken this bag everywhere and to be so big it’s comfortable. For pond days I put it in the back of my car and use my 6th sense bait bag for my go to baits

The Flambeau pro angler backpack 🎒 is the one. That bag is design the same thing Lew's as Flambeau the zipper to the line spool how it open and the top is the same thing. I wanted Lew's butt I ordered got one for $80 just not sunglasses 🕶️ pouch. For 5-5007 box and two 4007 boxes inside. 🧐 I need to look into this more. Ho makes Lew's backpack and bags 💬 good video thank you great stuff.

I think for the short trip bank angler a 3600 sized weekender, a properly fitting Buzbe tray, and a similar sized buzbe bag to hold plastics (when the buzbe bags become available) along with one of the trays that came with it would be a great setup. In typing this, I think I just figured out a Christmas present for my 11 year old. He can use it for the bank or in his kayak since I'll have plenty more tackle in my kayak. Sorry this comment really didn't have anything to do with the Lews bag.

I've had this bag for about a year & love it. Loved the review bcuz I didn't even know about the line deal? I just got swim baits shoved in there. I know this works from my closet to my truck to the boat at my dad's house. You can put a bag of plastics where your lunch goes. JS

The pack I’m using has two pole holders one on both sides I don’t use them all the time but on a longer hike I like to take two pole we have trout and bass here! But the compartment on this pack is the best I’ve seen but I haven’t found the perfect pack yet🤷🏻‍♂️!

I bought one a month ago and absolutely love it!

What was that smaller bag that you said would be a good pond bag? I keep boxes and bags in my truck. That smaller bag looked perfect to carry around the pond with me. The bag you reviewed had some nice features. I like the sunglass case. I can fish with sunglasses but need my real glasses to tie on lures. One of the downfalls of being an old woman 😂. A large bag like that is overkill for me.

Plano weekender is a great option!

Saw the review and went and got the bag from Dick’s Sporting Goods. Great bag and it was on sale!

The side grommet, my old ass, thought it was for wired earbuds at first.

Makes me wish I would have saved up for this bag. As far as the plier pouch lew's has mach pliers so I'm sure the pouch is made for those. While it stinks it's not easy to use other brands I get it.

How do you like this bag 2 years later? Anything break on it? For me, i dont care about weight. I have that crap spiderwire bag jammed to the brim with 3 3700 boxes and 2 3600 boxes. So much crap in it. WOuld love to upgrade.

Yeah, I bought the Plano e-cast 3600 for half of what you paid and it wasn't worth it. Seems like the buyer has to break the $100 dollar mark to get a durable, well designed backpack. I did a review and follow up review on my channel.
