Rountree’s performance was obviously beautiful but we have to give ample respect to Anders.. the guy took an unbelievable beating where many times both DC and Joe thought it was over and the guy took it, got back up and kept fighting.. and that’s the definition of a true warrior and the heart of a lion.. “it’s not about how hard you can hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep going.”

Ever since he Oblique kicked Bukaskas he's been on a rampage. Sure that Oblique kick was nasty but the timing was a thing of beauty and this display of muy thai is something scary. Light nimble and doesn't burn the gas tank. Good stuff seeing Khalil grow at this point in his career
Incredible technique and power - but I must also say that the opponent is a damn monster that he could take in so many of those perfectly landed heavy shots and still continue. Crazy stuff.
I remember watching this fight live and mannnn this was such a clean fight by Rountree. I've been a fan since and love his style. I also loved that oblique kick finish that he had not too long ago.
One of my favorite performances was this fight. All he was missing was some clinch work and knees but other than that, beautiful display of Muay Thai. His fights after this were fun to watch too, Rountree is a savage in the octagon
I remember seeing that fight and I was really impressed by Rountree - the upgrade in performance was definitely significant.
Props to that man taking thst punishment and never giving up. People have no idea how much those shots will damage you and how easy it can be to give into that pain. Strong💪 mind and heart ❤
I remember watching this fight live. It was my first time seeing Rountree and I was so impressed by his form. Totally savage
What's amazing is that every fight he has a different style.. this was so amazing to watch back then too bad he didn't use this style in his next fights
I watched this live back then and is insanely memorable.
Khalil. Eastside Las Vegas, NV native 💯. Used to have rumbles on Bushkill Creek on the eastside right across the street from the high school. He was always a fighter
I was waiting for that knee a long time.. expecting also some good spinning and flying elbows… but he did very well destroying that lead leg, especially on the inside following up with left straight. Like to see more of him!
He split his stance more and put his body on a narrower angle, a lot more like a kickboxing stance then a muaythai stance. All his technique was straight Muay Thai and I love it
This is for sure the best display of heart from Anders too .. RESPECT !!!
Yooo the dude taking all these insane shots is a gladiator. Any one of those punches or kicks would have concussed any normal person
It looks good for the high weight class where there's no Thai fighter because none of them is big enough. But using the word 'best' is exaggeration.
Watching this fight live made my friends and I all instant fans of Rountree. It's a shame he couldn't follow up as impressively but this fight alone makes him worthy of respect
Rountree is such a savage when he's locked in. Love watching him fight
That was savagely beautiful!
Anders is one hell of a tough fighter… he took a lot of damage in here, and got up/recovered from each knock down. He obviously lost, but I was surprised at how much damage he could take before being knocked out.

I love how in the beginning, the commentators were acting like the Muay Thai thing was a joke. "Oh, lookit 'im standing in that Thai stance!" By the end, no one was laughing
Anders showed the true meaning of 'heart of a warrior'. Rountree clearly won but man Anders impressed for damn sure.
This is one of the best but honestly there’s a few fighters who come from straight up Muay Thai backgrounds and have many performance that are more Muay thai based. Every shevchenko fight is a Muay thai masterclass
