THE BEST Dirt Bike Ramp EVER! Step Ramp Review

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Please use the Referral Code “KYLE” when checking out at stepramp.com. This isn’t a paid review, but if you use that code, I get credit and that helps support my family.
Here is a quick look at the best dirt bike ramp I have ever used or ever even heard of. Gone are the days of stumbling up or down the rungs of a ladder. Now we have real steps! This is much safer and more convenient. It folds up and has a great carry handle. It’s got high traction on those steps so that you don’t slip. It has a latch so that it doesn’t flop open when you don’t want it to. It has the tie down strap to secure it to the bed of your truck. The only thing this ramp doesn’t do is load the bike on it’s own. It weighs 32 lbs and is 72 inches long.
This will work great for truck beds as low as 30” and up to 42”. My truck bed is 42” tall and it still works great.

I’ve had one of the cheap Harbor Freight tri-fold ramps for years and it worked great - until one day it didn’t. I slipped off the rung half way up and ended up with my leg caught in the ramp and the bike on top of me. Somehow I didn’t break my leg but ended up with some pretty serious soft tissue damage that took weeks to heal. Bought one of these ramps and they are so much safer and easier. Loading and unloading the bike is many times the most dangerous part of the ride. $300 for a safer and easier way to load your bike is cheap in the long run.

Is it easy to detach the step side from the hinge if you just want to use bike side? like when you need to load a 2nd bike and need to put the ramp on the left side of the truck (and have a buddy to help so don't need the step) or to put the step on the right side although not attached? I don't need the step side when loading at the track as I just ride up, but at home I don't want to fire up the bike just to load it so looks a lot safer than using a bucket for a step

I've noticed a few comments about the price. A $300.00 ramp most likley is not for the rider who gets out to ride a handful of times a summer. Myself on the other hand, could justify $300.00 if it was a 6.5'-7' version. Dirtbiking is my only real hobby though. So I would use it most weekends for about 6-7 months straight.

This is what I needed a couple years ago, but I already bought a second 7 foot ramp. 6 foot seems a little short for many full size trucks but doable, makes a steep ascent to the bed. Currently $299 and "KYLE" code gets a $0.01 discount, but since it's already $100 off no big deal. Is the non step side wide enough to use a hand truck on for moving stuff if a smooth surface is attached I wonder?

Even at their sale price ($299), I still think they are about $150 over priced - killer product, but the price is steeper than any ramp I've ever used to load a truck I think the ramp/stand as a step combo works great. I've also done two 2x8 boards with grip tape, and tat works just as well!

Cool ramp, but in my opinion they missed the mark on pricing. Given, I have zero experience with one, but $399 with an on sale price of $299? My main question, does the step side offer $129 in ease of use or safety over my current ramp? Which currently I use a two sided ramp, the same size as that one, its just the bike ramp side on both sides.

Yes and no... If I were to leave my truck at an open place like a state or national forest staging area I'd look it up. Most places for us are private and I've not had any issues with leaving stuff. I normally toss the ramp in the bed and close the gate. out of sight and out of mind anyway, but would likey just keep a lock and small length of chain the back to chain it. I really don't like a 6ft. ramp with my newer truck. the 96 I had was lower. This truck I use a folder that is like 7.5 feet. Its 70 bucks. I though about buying a second and attaching some plywood with grip tape on it to walk up next to my ramp. It be half the cost, but in the end I think I'd be happier with the premaid one or a Kendon folder in the garage and ditch the ramp for a small trailer.

I always parked my truck on top of the ramp before I leave it.

Cool ramp. Wish your promo code took more than a penny off, lol

Nice if you are loading only 1 bike. I’ll just continue to use two ramps. It’s more versatile when loading 2-3 bikes in the same bed, and then just tie the ramps on top of one another for saving space.

Husky boys tv , loading the bike behind the driver gets awkward since the ‘step portion ‘ is behind the driver & in the way.

How tall is your truck? I have an 02 Chevy with a 6 inch lift and it's a pain in the ass to load on flat surfaces

I've often thought about making a bike ramp, with steps on one side. Problem solved!

Steps on the right side I would consider buying. Also overall width needs to shrink by about a third.

Looks nice, but I’m thinking it’s a $200.00 ramp all day long.

Would be nice if it was reversible to make it easier tucking two bikes in a bed

Great idea, but too short, and stairs MUST be movable from side to side. I have a system where I haul to bikes on top of a drawer system where the bikes are loaded in slots on the very edge of the bed. There would be no way to properly load a bike right along the left side of the bed. So close! I need a ramp with built in stairs!

There are a lot of cheap people in the world! This looks like an amazing ramp thats solid and made from aluminum. Extruded aluminum ain’t cheap! People crying that $299 is too expensive??? Wow. People better stick with the dollar tree and harbor freight. $299 and you have a ramp that will last your whole life! (Assuming some thug don’t steal it )
