Love the idea of using the pillow sham as a tablecloth for the nightstand. So good. Love the blue and green pillow as well. And of course, the toile! I love toile too, and have been trying to figure out how to incorporate it into my decor. Nice job! 😊

My idea with the pillow case that you said that maybe framing, I would use it as a wall hanging but I would use a wooden dowel and slide it threw even hot glue it , whatever you want to do to secure it but you can get wooed dowels at Walmart and you could easily stain then and put one at the top and one at the bottom and you could use some jute twine to hang it? Just an idea? Love akim

Loved the dish in time frame 2:05…giving Mackenzie-Childs (White Flower Market design) vibes. Cute drawer as well. I can see cute dessert dishes displayed inside too. The pops of blue and green are so refreshing especially during the springtime. Great haul.

I was thinking I must have missed that trophy in your video, I only saw that crappy plastic one. I was totally surprised when it turned out to be that one. I usually see beyond the surface of ugly ducklings and see the swan. All I can say is Bravo, well done🏆

Nice buys. I thought you would get that trophy. ;) U love the vintage books. When I saw the bedroom pic come up in my You tube feed I had to look twice at your name. The colors in the guest room were completely different then your usual style! They are attractive though and look pretty for springtime.. I understand your toss pillow addiction. I have garment bags hanging from rods in my basement with toss pillows and quilts in them. I weed out now and then and often forget what I have in them.

Great video as usual; SO many beautiful items in your stores. My Goodwill and Savers mostly has items that appear to be garage sale rejects - I rarely find anything decent anymore. 😢

@ Nina Anderson....the information I have is from my part-time employer that knows a few board members. Also, from my own personal research....and from the Goodwill sustainability mission themselves. Upon inquieries about end-of-life items, I'm led to understand that Goodwill has established policies and procedures but can't possibly "watch" every single location or employee. So, of course, there will be staff that sadly don't adhere to the policies and choose the easy route of just throwing things away. "When the cats away, the mice will play." As for information passed along by content creators/KZreadrs regarding the landfill, it is like the ultimate game of Telephone. One person makes a statement then it is repeated over and over until it changes and what started as one person's opinion has somehow morphed into an misguided belief of truth.

I think of you put the single king sham on the bed with a single king pillow, propped up like the throw pillow, it would look great.

Your bedroom looks amazing and I am in love with those pillows, your bedding and books. You really got some great thrift items on this trip for sure.

Goodwill prices have gone up drastically, seriously? All GW stuff is DONATED.

Hi Danielle...nothing from Goodwill goes to the landfill. We will never know who started that rumor but it's not true. Anything from the bins that doesn't get sold in one area of the country will get sent back to the processing center to get sent back out in a different area....i.e.: city, state or even another part of the country. Anything deemed not in "sellable" condition gets sent to various processing manufacturers to get turned into building materials, bottles, fabric solutions, etc.. Many items are also donated to schools and homeless shelters. Please consider being part of the truth by using your platform to inform others what really happens....and to help stop the falsehood of what happens to end-of-life items. Thank you!!! 😊

I’ve read some articles about it before and I think mostly clothes get sent off as bundles to other countries or used as scrap rags. The hard goods either get salvaged for metals or if it’s useable wood, but everything else is burned. Idk that’s just what I gathered from google and ex-employees via google. I care mostly about the books! Haha I hope they don’t burn those but they get destroyed in the bins so I can’t imagine they don’t burn them. :(

The gentleman I work for part-time is friends with several board members and the Foundation operated by him and his wife are supporters of Goodwill. He says that they literally do everything they can to find a use for everything end-of-life. Yes, it is true that some items are even sent to other parts of the world. He has never mentioned about items being burned....I'll ask. But if the does happen, it is still better than ending up as refuse in a landfill. I agree with you about the books. So sad the state some of them end up in. I'm glad to see that more and more of the crafting content creators are using old, damaged books for their crafting and art projects. Some of the miniature dollhouse channels also make use of the damaged books. 😊😊

Sorry but my GW does put things in the diumpster. They were loading a cart with glassware and I asked what they were going to do with it and one girl told me it was going to the dumpster. It broke my heart. I told her I would never bring Amy glassware there ever again.

@@neenamorgan6958 .... That is so sad to hear. It sounds as though some locations just do what they want and possibly not following headquarters rules. I feel like they would be pretty unhappy to hear about items being thrown in the trash. Especially glass, which can be easily recycled.

I have asked managers at Goodwill, many locations and they have told me the items get three chances at retail stores, go to the bins and finally to landfills. I don’t think Danielle needs to be told how to behave on her own channel. Danielle, don’t let rudeness affect your channel, you know what you have researched and what is being told to shoppers. If Goodwill didn’t charge such prices, they would have more sales.
