The Best Dancing Masks In The World
Ойын-сауық
These are the best dancing masks in the world.
Most of the dances are from Africa and they include:
The Dogon Mask dane
The Dogon are an ancient tribe from mail west Africa who are known for their elaborate ceremonial masks used for celebration dances.
ZOAULI Dance
Ivory Coast has been the house of most of the interesting masking traditions in Africa and most of them possess supernatural forces, among them being the Guro community of Côte d' Ivoire, the Zaouli which is very popular for its dance mask worn during the Zaouli dance.
BWA PLANK MASK
The Bwa mask dance masks represent multiple spirits who protect their society. The mask is made of wood. The mask takes up to two weeks for one to be complete.

This is incredible. African culture or African studies/history should be taught all over the world. Like mandatory. I think kids would love to know about this stuff, i only found it online as an adult.

In this time, when everything was emptied of its content and turned into work and commerce, do these dances still express a religious or spiritual belief or the like? Or has it turned into a kind of work without its real content? Who pays or finances it? It would be nice if someone would explain this to us, and another matter, what is the role of the person we always see near the dancer?

the dances still represent spiritual beliefs, and yes some of them have been corrupted due to dances being considered as a way of earning a living but some are still very strict on following the spiritual beliefs . The dancers are financed by the community, every time they dance people always contribute
