    And people say 4c isn’t curly just because they don’t think it can be defined. So beautiful.

    @@mrs_chin that is because so many people forget that 4c refers to how tight the curls are. And since most of 4c girls have z-curls, we think is the only curl pattern for 4c. But in fact you can be 4c with z-curls, s-curls or 0-curls (which is the pattern of the girl in the video)

    @lets get this bread 4c is pen spring. 4b is the same size or slightly bigger(when clumped) except it is a zig zag pattern. 4b is not a coil. imo the girl hair is clumped and has highter moisture retention. dry state, she'd have more shrinkage. i'm sure she does a regimen that retains moisture in the hair shaft. this weighs down the hair from the inside, allowing it to join to others. In addition, her length itself is very long. This is adding to the weighed down effect. i'm definetly tired of misidentifying 4c as being definition based. the curl diameter is the most accurate, not the state of someone's hair. ppl are so unused to seeing 4c in a trained, hydrated state, that they transform the curl diameter into being a different size that it actually is. the way a video allows you to zoom in on details, if you aren't familiar with the scale, you think its bigger than it actually is.

    Its crazy bc some clients think that if you don't pull the hair that means you don't know what your doing. Some stylists are looking to flip clients quick and make more money so they rush through it. I think it's better to go slow and take your time. You can always charge a little more for quality over quantity. Every hair matters! Imagine if you break 10 hairs every time you comb it, that really adds up over time. I have fine hair that was breaking off from having it back in a bun everyday. It got so bad i couldn't wear it down bc all these short pieces would curl up in the humidity and i would have a bunch of short curly hairs sticking straight up over my hair looking like pig pen! Take your time, deep condition and use the right products and you should be able too get through your clients hair, even with the tightest curl pattern

  • @aloeleaf9789
    @aloeleaf97893 жыл бұрын

    My curl pattern is similar, and I have hid my hair under wigs for over 20 years. You and one other You Tuber convinced me to treat my natural hair with love. Your video where you two strand twisted your hair, and then you said something similar to it took you awhile to know how beautiful your hair could be. Welp I went to work with my natural hair; not before almost turning around to get my wig though. However, I received so many compliments which gave me even more confidence to rock what God gave me. So thank you for inspiring us.

    I’m a 21 year old white girl with straight, fine hair but I love these videos so much. I always think about how my hair is very low-maintenance, but also very limited as far as what I can do without damaging it significantly. I love my hair, but I also LOVE natural hair. I think it’s so beautiful. I know taking care of natural hair is infinitely more complicated, difficult, and time consuming than my own routine-but I also think the results are just stunning. Idk I guess I’m saying that I love these videos, I love learning to appreciate all the love and work that goes into caring for natural hair, and I LOVE the smiles on all your clients faces when they see the results at the end of the video :) I know your channel isn’t necessarily meant for me, but I’m so grateful to be able to enjoy the privilege of watching you anyway. These are my thoughts, but because of these ideals imposed by society, I think your comment felt like you were indirectly ignoring that colorism is a problem in our society. There are many people in this world who value and treat a person’s worth in the color of their skin. I feel like op was trying to give a genuine complement to women with darker skin tones, and your comment gave the impression of a person who makes a generalization to divert another’s compliment or spotlight, all while ignoring the underlying issues and archetypes of what is a “beautiful person,”which is typically people with paler skin tones. They would also handle my hair roughly and treat me as if I was an inconvenience, not to mention l would get charged more money based on my texture. So I eventually had my hair cut in a tapered which I love. But I just wanted to thank you for being knowledgeable about all hair textures and having patience/using words that are not offensive when describing tightly coiled hair 💞💞💞💞💞

    I have that type of curl - like the spring inside of a pen. I always find it amazing how my hair changes depending on its condition. I only see that pattern when it's wet, because I normally have my hair in twists so even if I take those out my hair will curl looser than it naturally does. And now that my hair is getting longer, the weight of the hair is actually stretching those little pen spring curls down so they spiral more. Fascinating to watch!

    That’s how my curl pattern looks!!!! 💕 Well, it was 🥺😔. I went to a hairdresser for a silk press and trim but ended up with a lot of heat damage and a haircut. She thinned my hair out so much that you could see my scalp and neck through my hair. That experience was a first for me but your video shows that tightly coiled hair can be detangled without ripping, trimmed, and withstand properly applied heat.

    When taking care and making sure to protect the hair from heat the hair won’t get damaged. Silk presses are especially good for straightening hair without damage!

    That hair is gorgeous. The curl pattern is gorgeous, the colour is gorgeous, the amount of hair is gorgeous, the shine when straight is gorgeous. I am going to cry in a corner now with my measly, half-hearted wave-y, half a dozen ginger hairstrands...

    Her curls are like my 3 year old nieces hair. I love here curl pattern and I do her hair. You are so right I am very gentle with her coming out process. I have not applied heat to her hair and I won't until she is older. She enjoys me braiding and styling her hair. TFS Sis xoxo💋🔥💛

    I’m still amazed to see people complaining that her hair got straightened. It’s her hair, she can do what she wants with it. She shouldn’t feel pressured to wear it natural if that’s not what she wants right now.

    Ma'am you are the first hair youtuber or even stylist in US that im seeing who brushes ends first and then goes uptop. Everybody seems to start smack right on the scalp. It infuriates me. Im so glad to see you have such details of taking care of your customers. I have straight long hair and i still use the same technique to not damage my roots and to not apply extra tension. 👌👏

    All the people who don't have this type of hair were complaining why it would be straightened and all the ones with this type of hair were like: she is the best stylist ever. I don't know why outsiders like us feel the need to meddle with something we have no conception of.
