To those not familiar with Dressing, it's NOT suppose to look like stuffing with bread cubes. It's more of a creamy texture. When people review and say its mushy and compare it to stuffing, two different styles and textures.

I had to let you know that I love this dish! Since there is only one of me, I always take the leftovers and make single serving slices. Then I use my vacuum seal bags and machine to make single serve serving packages to put in my freezer. Well, I thawed and heated one for breakfast this morning and it was still so moist, flavorful, and delicious!! Because I make them in single serve packages, it only takes a few minutes to thaw, reheat and ready to eat. It freezes great!!!! Thank you so much for this recipe! @@dixiedoo5876 I am also alone and that is why I freeze a lot of my meals, I just can't seem to learn to cook for one person. I put the dish of dressing in the refrigerator to get cold, and to make sure the liquids would get more solid. Then I removed it, sliced individual servings, put them in the vacuum bags, then vacuum sealed them and put them in the freezer. I also freeze my soups, stews, roast beef, ham, etc. I also bake chicken parts (I used thighs and legs) and freeze them. Then if I want chicken and dumplings, I just thaw out a package in the microwave, sautee my onions and celery, add the chicken and broth or water. When the chicken is falling off the bone, I make my dumplings. I also use them for chicken enchiladas, chicken tacos, chicken stir fry, etc.

I have wanted to make this for the longest time! I live alone so can't make all the food just for me. I am eagerly waiting for cooler weather here in So CA so I can impress my holiday guests this year, if they will come (damn this virus!). PS: I have Vol 1 & 2 but now need to get #3! Love you girl! You are so much fun to watch & learn from.

I want to do this but just can’t have Thanksgiving without turkey! Can I do this without the chicken? Use canned or saved broth and serve with the turkey. For several years now my son has fried the turkey. We love it and it gives him a special way to contribute to our family traditions. I love your recipes! Thank you for including the directions! I am going to have to order your cookbook just to give support to you! I haven’t bought a cookbook since I discovered recipes on KZread and Pinterest!😂

Tammy i am going to have to try it this way, at least one time unless family members like it this way cause we have always did ours with cornbread an biscuits we have never used the light bread, an we have always did ours without sauteing onions in the celery. The one tap that I'm definitely going to have to try for sure is the poultry seasoning and because I never thought of that cuz I don't like too much Sage taste and neither does none of the rest of the family and their dressing you gave me a new idea with that.

Tammy, I am from the South......VA & NC.....I thought stuffing & dressing were the same, only called different in different regions. But now I'm thinking it's two different things. Can you explain just explain to me what the difference is? I know you don't add chicken to turkey stuffing, but is that it? OMG, we have the same pattern of china , "Old Country Roses." I'm going to commit to fixing this dressing--probably for Christmas. My kids are embedded in my tradition of fixing stuffing for our turkey for Thanksgiving. You just can't change traditions!!! LOL. I just love your channel, Tammy!!! Thanks for all you do for us.

I am going to try it next time I make dressing bc I love the creamy texture of your dressing. Oh and I’m adding the cream of chicken soup next time I make it! Thanks for those special tips that mean so much!
