Now I just need X-Men, The Simpsons, Captain America and the Avengers and Superman (not the greatest game in the world but as a kid I remember playing this at my local corner store and it does have nostalgia for me) and I can die a happy man.

I remember playing Superman at a Fuddruckers when I was traveling with my dad. That was the only place I ever saw the Superman game. Would absolutely love to get the other three again. They were my favorite arcade games.

I really want arcade ports for smartphones with fully Bluetooth controller support.

I recognized the Switch as an arcade game machine pretty early on. The sheer number of quality ports is amazing with a wide breadth of titles/genres to choose from. I even bought the Intec Gaming conversion kit for Arcade-1up so I'd have a cabinet to play on. My favorite collection is Darius Cozmic Collection + Revelation.

Aerofighters and Night Slashers, two must play games I found on the Switch.

You can't beat a good compilation, and you can't beat a good classic arcade game, and you can't beat a Square Pegs Switch video. So it's fair to say this is the Triple Crown Champion of KZread this week 😎👍

There's a little bit for everyone in this video! I do love a good compilation pack as well. More bang for your buck. Can't go wrong. When I was younger I used to go with my grandparents to the grocery store that also had a Zeller 's on the opposite side and a big alcove with seating and tons of arcade games. My grandfather would sit in the alcove and talk with his friends while handing me over an unlimited supply of quarters. One of my favorites to play was TMNT so I was happy to see that on your list. Also huge love for Cruisin' Blast mostly because of SEGE last year and hooking up Sam's Switch and passing around the controllers playing two-player. It'll be forever one of my favorite memories of all time.

The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection is not just some arcade ports, they are all arcade ports. Basically you get a package of 12 of the best mainline Street Fighter legacy arcade games with the only exceptions being that it doesn't include spinoffs (Pocket Fighter, Super Puzzle Fighters II Turbo, Street Fighter EX), fillers (Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition, Street Fighter Alpha 2 Gold, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper, and Hyper Street Fighter Alpha), and license arcade games (Street Fighter: The Movie the Game).

Here's some arcade ports you didn't mention. Arcade Archives: Frogger, Arcade Archives: Sunset Riders, Johnny Turbo: Caveman Ninja, Johnny Turbo: Joe And Mac Returns, and of course: Arcade Archives: Donkey Kong. There are many other Nintendo and Konami arcade games in the arcade archives series. Take a look won't you?

Oh sure, there's literally over 300 arcade ports on the switch just between ACA NeoGeo and Arcade Archives. I wasn't about to go through each and every one of them, both for the sake of my bank account and for the sake of my sanity. 😄 With regards to the ones you mentioned though (outside of Sunset Riders which was in the video): Frogger has never really been my thing. It's...fine, I just lose interest in it very quickly. I don't want to spend any money on something I won't enjoy playing. The Joe and Mac games aren't available on the eShop anymore as the Johnny Turbo games got delisted. I very badly WANTED to include them, but since I hadn't purchased them before they were delisted I'm not able to. Donkey Kong - I personally don't see the need to buy the Arcade Archives version when I've got a scaled down but acceptable version of the game on the NES Online service. I know that's sacrilege for a lot of people, and they're definitely entitled to that belief, but for me I'd rather put that money towards something I can't play anywhere else on that console.

Watching now. Thanks for making this. I just got my second switch lite and was wanting to grab something like this.

The big question is why did konami not include the arcade version of castlevania in their anniversary collection?

I think I may need to visit some of these for the 4 player goodness.

They put Capt Commando on the Evercade EXP with some other Capcom greats, love that game. Love the Sega Ages and of course Outrun 🤷🏼‍♂️ always loved the Cotton series to include the Saturn version. That cruisin looks good! Oh yeah give me some turtles! Definitely some amazing games/collections here!

I almost have all those arcade ports u mentioned minus 3-4 that i don't yet. I also have njnja gaiden (arcade) and double dragon (arcade) to name a few...🤗

We have similar tastes. I've got all of those games and more but I favour emulation on Android with Samsung Dex. It's excellent 👍🏼

I love collections that give players access to game variants that might be hard to come by today. Example, I loved playing Contra as it was in the arcade in the Contra Collection. It's fun seeing where something started and how that translated into the original ports. Which we can now play on our Switches! We gamers are spoiled. And I love it.

One disadvantage is there is too much good stuff and you don’t know it’s on the eshop. The mech game looks great. And… Give us a port of Viewtiful Joe!!

Arcade ports on the Switch is definitely the way to go! On a related note, I do wish Capcom would release a collection similar to what Konami has done, with arcade and home console ports packaged together. A Street Fighter collection including the Genesis and SNES versions of those games would have been amazing! Or they could just re-release the Street Fighter Alpha Anthology for modern consoles, and I'd be happy with that too!

I own a few of these on switch to play handheld. But mame and emulation on my pc makes it difficult to justify buying these games. 😬

I love Outrun, and enjoy the Switch port immensely, but I have to submit Outrun on the 3DS as the best port.

Hey bromingo, any list that has Saturday Night Slam Masters is tops in my book. Idk what a book is, but like, yeah! SNSM is one of my favorite wrasslin games!

Personally I love these ports but on my ps5 , I feel the controls just feel better for me, it’s just my opinion, I see the advantages of having on switch on the go though

street fighter alpha 3 PSP is a better port All these arcade collections are on all platforms and PC. no Collection has a good video filter the nintendo switch has a lot of input lag If you want to play an online match, the best option is PC. SF collection is INCOMPLETE on Switch, sf4 should be included

Never played the PSP port, because it's form factor isn't terribly comfortable for me. I don't really play fighting games handheld because of that. Sure, they absolutely are. I just prefer them on the Switch because I can take them with me. That's your opinion. I don't use any screen filters 9 times out of 10 because they always look like shit, but some are better than others. All modern consoles have some measure of input lag if you're playing with a wireless controller. If you're playing competitively, no shit you not playing on the Switch. If you're not, then 6-8ms of input delay isn't going to deter you from playing a game. Not an online player, so this means nothing to me. Then the SF30th collection is incomplete on literally every console because it wasn't included anywhere else, either.

Have you seen The House of the Dead port? It plays pretty bad. OutRun baby!!

House of the dead plays fine for me. I only play it in docked mode with motion controls.
