The Best Compilation On YouTube - Beaver Dams Removal With Excavator
The Best Compilation On KZread - Beaver Dams Removal With Excavator
📝Basic information:
Location: Poland
About my work - I remove beaver dams when I receive an order from a state organization.
I do not choose which dam to remove. It is decided by officials at the request of nearby residents. Each dam is assessed in advance if it can and if should be dismantled.
Removing the dam is not a threat to beavers. I do not remove their houses - lodges.
Dams are removed only in places where beavers cause damage, for example by flooding nearby fields, flooding the basements of nearby houses, or when the stream on which beavers built their dam is degraded.
Even though beavers are very invasive animals, they are under strict protection in our country.
I personally like all animals, so beavers are fine too.

I love watching the water flow going from little to no flow and then see it gushing. Also love seeing how quickly the water table drops.
I enjoy the videos that speed things up. This was great Sunday morning entertainment!

Hello Tonia ❤️🙂
its amazing that one of Gods small creatures can create a Dam and do so much damage to the farm land or frost areas as they are building a home for them selves. great stuff to watch.
Thank you guys for this video. We get to see just how dangerous these dams are from these views. You gentlemen do an amazing job in very dangerous situations. You all deserve an award and a standing ovation 👏👏👏👏👏👏

There is no danger at all. How many times has this guy stood in the stream at the bottom of a 10 foot beaver damn? It's fine to be complimentary but even the host of this channel is like "what the fuck are you talking about?" It makes you seem disingenuous when you blow smoke up someone's ass.

Thank you in advance for subscribing 🙂 Post 10 is actually a real precursor of such recordings on KZread - I also watch it sometimes. I've been doing this kind of work for several years - but only two years ago I started recording episodes on KZread - and I admit that it's a very nice hobby 🙂😀 I looked at your channel. You have nice animals 🐶🐱 And you crochet just like my wife. Regards 👋
You would have an easier time with an Hydraulic thumb grip. Fun to watch, used to ride a Deere 180x (big rig) for restoring peatland mines. Fun stuff
It's awesome to see that amount of water release. Love from South Africa 🇿🇦😘

Beavers are amazing creatures
I'm curious. What are the reasons for removing these structures? Are they done at a particular time of year? Are beavers within the structure when it is destroyed? I recently watched a programme about beavers. They were praised as doing a lot of environmental good by slowing the water flow, creating wetland habitat for insects and other species. Apart from that, they are quite endearing looking creatures, and that's good for TV ratings. 😕

Usually they destroy beaver dams because the water on the streets has nowhere to go because of the blockage.

Why do I find these videos oddly satisfying?? If you ever spent any time tearing out a beaver dam by hand, you will understand. Damn the beaver!
Love the video but feel like a longer boom would help
Great job stringing them together! I am curious to know if you have ever thought to use a bucket with a "hydraulic finger" or pincer that can close down on the big brush piles the beavers build, instead of trying to use the bucket alone? Your operator is very skilled with his machine - but it would seem easier / faster if there was a pincer to hold the branches down. Keep up the good work! Thanks!

The excavator operator is my older brother (actually, I'm the youngest, so the next brother is also older than me 😉). And to answer your question seriously - no, we don't have a thumb in a excavator. And I think he does the job pretty well, so I've stopped trying to convince him to install such equipment. Greetings from Poland 🇵🇱🙂

it would be expensive as it needs its own hydraulics. So you would either have to install more(Expensive) or not use the angle on the bucket.

@@tedhardulak7698 I admit that I'm not an expert on these machines... I was thinking out loud having seen other machines doing similar work and wondering (in general) about having it on the machine. Thanks for your comments, Ted!
I like the way you work, break the dam straight away so the flowing water will help wash away the dam. In a lot of other videos they faff about digging trenches or skimming away a little at a time making the job 3 times as long, maybe they are paid by the hour.
Beaver: yooo welcome to my crib homie
This would be fun to do. I would be like a kid in a candy store. Jim's wood shop.
Wow!!!
Beavers apparently help make good soil, you just have to do some drainage and let some evaporation occur.

What we found with the dung is to try to get as much of it to go down stream as you can so the beaver have to work twice as hard to rebuild. Because we both know that they are going to try to rebuild.
I enjoy your videos, makes me want to sit in that seat, with a thumb on the beam and placing the bucket at a different place tha the operator does. Great job and video!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Good but not the best, cut short. I missed complete removal and free flowing water.

Dziękuję 🙂👋
They pump it pretty good just drive it
That's a lot of water-table regenerating water suddenly gushing down towards properties downstream...
One thing I don’t get and it’s probably obvious but, why just break the dam and leave the contents to just float down stream causing a blockage further down which inturn causing more work for you months if not weeks from now. Why not use a grab attachment and just grab pieces and put aside ready to be off loaded in to a dump bed truck to be removed from the stream altogether. Is is just down to expense to have the extra tools and machinery on site that makes it an unused plan of action.
👍👍😊😎
