We really just have one goal - to make your food life better. Ok that, and be entertained at the same time. And have you learn a few things along the way. So let’s make it 3 goals then.
If you only want the steps to make something, like those vids shot from above with no people, no conversation no nuthin - then we are absolutely not for you. But if you wanna a little fun while you learn, then this is the place.
Cooking doesn’t have to be hard, it just has to be delicious.

Every once in awhile I cook at work and I've used ur recipes and they love it. This is my next one.. thank you
I love how you give recommendations for alternate proteins for the chili. Cooking is just as much experimentation and improvisation as it is a science, and personal preference can influence what one uses in any given dish. I love me some beef, but if someone has a preference for other forms of ground meat or meat substitute they can enjoy making and eating this without fear!
This should have been included in a *Lockdown Muchies - Hot Dogs* episode.

Previous month I managed to gather my first five figure wage ever!!! I've been working for this provider using the internet for 2 years now and I never been happier... They are paying me $95 per hour, and the most desirable thing regarding this is the fact I am not really that tech-savvy, they just asked for basic knowledge of internet and common typing skill...Awesome thing about this job is the more free time I got for my family. I am in a position to devote quality time with my relatives and buddies and take care of my children and also going on holiday with them very consistently. Don't neglect this opportunity and try to act quick. Here’s what I do *worth48.com*

I used to use a potato masher but I was worried it would harm my wife's non-stick pans so I went in search of a pan friendly version. After a while I found a "ground beef chopper" on amazon for under $10. Works great and it's silicone so it cleans super easy.

I put my onions under the chili so they don’t fall off as much. Doesn’t look as good for presentation, but eats better. I also ALWAYS put some kind of mustard on my hotdog with the chili and onions. I realize there’s some in the chili, but I need some on the dog too.

As a Texan, I know that “beans don’t belong in chili.” But, also as a Texan, I like to put beans in my chili *IF* the chili itself is the meal. If the chili is used as a topping or other ingredient (like in chili dogs), then beans are a no-go. it makes it unwieldy.

Looks good... Has anyone else ever scooped out “canoe style” the bread on each half of the bun? Effectively making a pocket on either side of the dog for “extra” ... onions or chili meat. Sort of a bread nest on either half of the bun. I sometimes lightly toast with shredded cheese to add some structural ooomph to the hollowed out hot dog bun. Added benefit of cheese also creates a barrier between chill and soggy bun.
@nathanchase1297
4 жыл бұрын
Wow, I was about to be like "um, that's a common technique for sandwiches on bollilos or baguettes or other dense/large breads," but then I read your comment all the way through. Good job replacing some of the lost structure w/ cheese.
@valvenator

Yup, a lot of times the rolls are cut with one half being way thicker than the other so I'll just take a slice off that side, and add a half slice of cheese in between to help keep the seam together I also like to cut a v pocket in sub rolls when making meatball subs. Helps keep everything in the roll instead of squishing out the sides

Sam, if you want your ground beef to have the smallest possible size do this: Put the *cold* ground beef into your KitchenAid mixer. Break it up with the paddle attachment for a few minutes. Then add about 1 cup tomato *juice* per pound, slowly, while continuing to mix. It will slowly form into a big squishy bowel of thick 'slurry' . Now, cook *that* down, stirring frequently, until nearly all of the water from the tomato juice is evaporated and the burger begins to brown. Drain off the fat, then just continue your recipe as normal. I swear to Christ it works,
Some really good tips in this video.
I want that flamethrower used to melt the cheese!! Where can I get one? Love the round flattop grill.

I was trying to come up with a chili dog pun for you guys... But I *CHOKED!*
nice to see sam adds bacon to his chili. when i make chili with beans, i start by browning - but not thoroughly cooking bacon in the bottom the bottom of the pot i'm going to simmer the chili in. i take out the bacon, then drain most - but not all - the bacon fat, which i swirl around the pot. halfway through the simmer (which i like to do for 5-6 hours) i add the bacon, which i've diced. the place smells awesome and the chili tastes great.
My 12 year old son loves your videos! They are great!!!
