This recipe sounds good. Is it the sugar in the marinade that caused the chicken skin to burn? Is there a way to avoid that?

This is the best kind of recipe. No exact measurements. Just go on gut and mix. The beauty is in the ingredientes. You love garlic add more, you like it salty…add soy sauce come people…really!! Did our grandparents use recipe cards? Hell no and they were or are the best cooks on earth

I do almost the exact same marinade, but I add smoked paprika, swap the "neutral oil" for liquefied beef talo or rendered bacon grease and I use a little balsamic vinegar instead of wine. Same marinade for beef, but I add a half cup of Worcestershire.

Nah white wine vinegar and sugar are pretty much the same thing for this purpose. Better to make sauce out of wine. Same goes for the lemon juice, it's just sweet sour, better to put it on your meat right after you cook it and let it sit for a few minutes or make sauce with it. This whole "recipe" is rly just a mess.
The saran wrap didn't cover the handle holes.
I would remove the sugar to let the chicken burn far less than that. And adding sweetness with a dip sauce for serving. Just saying...
Did he just say he fabricated a chicken into pieces?

12 cloves of finely grated garlic is a good amount for a marinade.
Clean your grill lol
For a chicken breast that thick there’s no way you only cooked it 15 minutes probably closer to 23-25

He said 12-15 minutes on each side so that would be ~25-30 minutes total.

If you are going to grill it, then just grill it. Waste of time cooking it on the stove after grilling it.
