The Best Car In The World..My Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
I've had my Porsche GT3 RS since 2013. This car is Epic!. The car has a Sharkwerks bypass pipe and a valve switch to keep the valves open all the time or shut.
The 997.2 Porsche GT3 RS has 444hp from a flat 6.

I'm so glad there is a youtube out there with this car! Love the 997 gt3 rs!
The best 911 ever
Great vid. Need more content involving this car!
Great to see another who has a true love for Porsches and who is not afraid to drive them. About to take delivery of a GT4 in three weeks. Keep up the great footage.

Best car in the world for sure. We had an amazing time following/riding around in Elizabeth of ItsWhiteNoise's 991 RS over the weekend. Car is absolutely unbelievable. Does everything so well!

Really interesting video and some stunning stills inserted. I was lucky enough to passenger round Goodwood in a 997 gen 1 RS and I can vouch for all your remarks, what an incredible car! It's my ambition to own a GT series 997, it's just a shame the prices have gone through the roof! (If your looking to buy that is!)
It seriously sounds like a Porsche 956 its unreal ,great whine noise
Any exhaust mod Sam? Dundon can add 40lbs torque at 4500ish rpm … game changer

Sharkwerks bypass, would need an ecu remap to see any gains I think
As an avid GT3 fan and two time 997 GT3 owner - I get exactly where you are coming from - especially when on the track - if you aren't fully committed the car punishes you - the nearest thing you'll get in modern day terms is probably the 991 R - you've made me really regret cashing in on both of those cars - would be good to see a video of the car on the track or blasting up some alpine roads - keep up the good work

Awesome review, thank you Sam! How would you compare the RS to the GT4 (in as much detail as possible please)

If you want to enlarge your 3.8, have a look at Manthey Racing rebuilt mezger flat 6s too, it's more convenient as they are based in Germany

There is a company in the UK not far from London called 9e. They do engine builds and are very well known for it. No need to go to Germany.
@CarToneHK

But 9e build strictly Turbo engines as far as I'm aware, I'd much rather have Manthey to do the rebuild, given their extensive racing experience with mezger engines
cool video, don't think I will ever forget I think it's one of evos videos of Francois Delecour driving one

Sam - Excellent video and having purchased a 997.2 GT3RS earlier this year, I too found myself on a driving training course ;-) your comments are spot on - this car's dynamic capability is so transparent that it will either flatter or show you up as a driving fool ! I'm glad I'm learning how to step up my game. Re your sharkwerks bypass - how have you got around Potsche Warranty, assuming you've gotten this in place in the first place ? Do you also need that wireless valve on/off bit of kit fitted in conjunction with sharkwerks ?

+JAC P because the bypass is after the cats warranty isn't affected. I would highly recommend getting the valve switch, mine came from carnewal but try unplugging it first to see if you like it

I was contemplating buying one of these last year but then an order slot came around for the GT4 and i snatched it up!! Not sure if i made the right decision but i LOVE my GT4 so i think i am happy hahah

Hey, do you still have this amazing motor?
Do you have any plans to move to a 991 GT3/RS or is the manual box keeping you with the 997? Good vids, keep them coming.

I think you are supposed to have the tracker device attached to the car somewhere not on your key ring....
Hi Sam are you able to provide the information where you purchased the remote switch for the exhaust by-pass you mentioned a belgium company - Thanks Scott

You know the fob is meant to be kept separate from your key! The idea is if the car is stolen with the key (which is the most likely way now as its so hard to steal modern cars) then the alarm will still activate. I store my fobs away from my Porsches for this reason.
@sammooresphoto

+iSysman I look after my keys and the rest sorts itself out, if they get the keys just call the tracking company
Questions concerning hight of front splitter on the GT4 compared to the GT3 RS: which is lower and does the GT4 need to have come with a raising mechanism?
@sammooresphoto
8 жыл бұрын
+GravityFighter the gt4 is higher and you can get by if you are careful. Rs is a bit lower so you need the lift. Saying that I was in a car park the other day that the Rs could get into but the gt4 couldn't really. Some people just hit the splitter as it's not an expensive part to replace
When will you get the sharkwerks 4.1 conversion? Thoughts on 4.0 vs Sharkwerks 4.1?

I've been to Porsche a few times for different things, fun but didn't learn that much. The rest has all been coaching from race drivers on track but a solid mix.
Apologies, appears it's still processing the HD

Sam, since the video, a product appeared that will fix the torque issue, DMS (Dundon) headers, put's you close to 500hp a bunch load of more torque, a bit more sound, but no drone and you have something that is mental, called DSC Sport for the suspension, go check both out on rennlist.
@sammooresphoto
7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! will have a look for sure. More torque would be a great advantage..heading over to have a look now
@sammooresphoto
7 жыл бұрын
The suspension stuff sounds mental. I've fired then an email. Not sure about headers, i'd be inclined to do it but I worry about the noise gain (i'm right on the limit for uk tracks with the valves shut at the moment) and also it's a cat delete I believe so you have that hassle as well.
@brianhimmelman420

Cut de Pie Fails he is correct ... Dundon Street system checks every box and add mid range torque
Just wondering, couldn't you just keep the tracker fob in the car and not have to deal with it?
how come you don't have an automatic gearbox with paddle shifters in this car id ive thought its a lot easier to drive than a manual gearbox
9:49 is that you garage ?
A proper car which is being used in the way that Porsche intended. So many Supercar's nowadays are bought by rich people and only used them as a 'statue symbol' or because they want to protect their investment.
Do you know ItsWhiteNoise? I see her comment...you guys have the best cars

Wow, 15K in 2 years, that's some serious mileage. After years of hating on the 991, I'm ready to sell my 997.2 for the 991.2 now that the manual is back in the GT3. I think the facelift looks good. And 500 HP, well....

+997 dryvr 500hp and more torque does sound like a great proposition. Can’t get hold of a .2 manual tho..😡
