Hey Gary! I just bought a new 128gigs white iPhone 12, and totally enjoy it. Battery life is definitely decent, but I need to bring a charger when I go on hikes. My favorite feature is the dolby video, because it is super crisp and colorful. Just got a twitter to see what the fuss is about (and look at your posts😀) Ps: I think you actually used the iPhone 12 mini for the video (the beautiful navy blue👀) but we get the point. Great job!💪

Would agree on iPad Air 9. If wanting to step up a notch, I'd go iPad Air 5. I have the air 5 and it's pretty perfect, but I probably would've been fine with the gen 9. If you have the money and the choice between an iPad or MacBook, I'd go with MacBook. The m1 MacBook Air is on sale many places right now for 799. I have the iPhone 13 Pro Max. I had the 12 mini before that and found it to be WAY to small (I have small hands) to the point it was too difficult to type on. I don't upgrade every generation of iPhone, but I had to go to the 13 because the 12 mini was so tiny it was annoying.

Agree re gen 9. I got one from my work as an ad on to my MBP13. As I have the Smart Keyboard and pencil from my own 10.5 pro, I can use both of them too. I did opt for a paperlike screen protector to cut down glare and help with notes. Whilst I agree the SE2 watch is a bargain, having the same innards as my old S5 or the S6 I think, I’ll keep my old S5 and just change the battery out. It just got down to 80% after daily use for 3 years which is amazing really = 1000+ charge cycles. I agree with your comments IPhone 13 mini. However my use case necessitated a huge upgrade from a 2020SE to a 13 pro with 512Gb. Cost a fortune (same as a basic MBP13 I recall) but the pro video functions are amazing as is the ability to use ProRes and take images in RAW. I am currently filming some workshops at my Uni with a pro grip/rig, Grip mounted lights and a RODE video mic Go 2. Light, massive battery life and brilliant quality as it should be for the money.

I know it’s not really worth it sometimes, but for the most part I buy the best. I bought an iPhone 14 pro and air pods pro 2. I also didn’t cheap out and bought the iPad Air. Still no watch but for real, I only use it for looking at the time and having something that tells me when I get calls even when my phone is silent. So probably the se it is. Anyway, I think just for the display, I would always choose the iPad Air over the 9. gen. Also the Apple Pencil 2 ist just a lot cooler :)

I’ve looked at prices and built up mine over past few years. I have base model ish products. I have Apple Watch SE- but 44 mm, I have MacBook Pro 13 base model but M2 ( work from home and does a fantastic job keeping up) I have the iPad 9th gen but 256 gb cellular, again bc I work remotely, and I did have the iPhone 11, but my carrier had a trade in credit for it that I couldn’t pass up, so now have an iPhone 14 128gb, that with credits is free. As far as accessories, I have AirPods Pro 1st gen, Apple Pencil 1st gen, and the HomePod mini. All of my items have cases and screen protectors that are All 3rd party. So again, I had to be a little selective but overall I think I have a decent ecosystem.

I will get an Apple Watch when they finally pit a decent battery to the cheapest models as well. I currently have the Amazfit GTS 2 Mini and it runs easily 5-7 days with everything on(heart monitor, sleep monitor, oxygen monitor, stress monitor) for only 50 bucks. Sure it’s not as good looking as the Apple Watch and it doesn’t have the app system but for what it does it’s the beat value for money. If Apple puts a better battery at the SE versions which can at least run for 3-5 days without charge I would consider switching but right now it’s a no.

I wish I saw this review before I got my iPad because you’re absolutely right there is no need for the M1 processor unless you are a professional. And the iPad nice distant generation will do everything you need and more . The only reason I can’t go back is the 120 Hz display 😂

If the iPad 10th generation still had a lightning port, and if it weren’t so expensive, I would’ve got it, but instead I’m going to get the ninth generation instead hopefully. before the USB-C fans attack me, the only reason why I said that is because I don’t have any USB-C accessories or cables in my house. I only have lightning that’s it.

"...dinosaur hard PLASTIC lunch boxes."???!!! What-the-what?! I remember the foul-smelling, rusty METAL lunchboxes, which were better than the brown paper bags (Do they even sell those anymore?) because they had Peanuts on them. (Oh! How I coveted the mailbox-shaped Snoopy lunchbox.) And they're called AirPod Condoms, and I won't wear AirPods without them because they make them wearable. Easily worth the money. (Though superglueing the AirPods to your ears may be cheaper.)

This is a great video topic. I’m honestly surprised more people don’t adhere to this. The apple experience scales amazingly well. Their cheaper options are amazing! You get to experience 85% of what the high end has to offer for as low as ~15% of the price. And let’s be real. Most people don’t even utilize 50% of their device’s potential anyway. They don’t need anything more than the base model of almost anything in Apple’s line up. Also, some of Apples higher end products, like their iPads, don’t make any sense since they cost the same as their laptops when you include the doodads. Their iPads are so limited in function compared to their base laptops yet so expensive. It doesn’t make sense. Let’s face it. A large portion of Apple Sheeple are absolutely RETARDED! They throw money at Apple like there’s no tomorrow and rack up debt just to be “cool”. But on the plus side, they subsidize the experience for budget/second hand immensely. Apples long term support is really nice and it’s nice/sad to know that losers are enabling it. Now my devices: iPhone Mini 13 base model (128gb of base storage is absolutely amazing. Also Apples refusal to add a back button on the bottom side of the phone is really dumb. Makes their phones really hard to use one-handedly.) Oldish iPad which works just fine. (Bought on a heavy discount. Helps balance the small screen of the mini. Granted, the Mini’s screen is just fine. It also has the latest version of iPadOS.) Earpods Pro 2 [Recent cyber-monday sale for 200$. Best in class ANC & Transparency Hearing, wireless charging+lightning cable charging, IPX4 rating, and removable tips (prevents earwax build up) is a good value in my mind. Especially since the Earpods 3rd gens are 170-180$ retail. The earbuds 2 suck so much for many reasons.] Old/used Macbook Air Intel based 8gb/256gb (Use it to view HEIC pictures. It’s also easier to transfer files and pictures between the other devices. It doesn't have the latest MACos but that's fine. It still works.) Apple Watch 8 45mm Cellular (My mom insisted I get it when she upgraded her phone since she got a deal. I’m not complaining.)
