As an owner of the Oris pointer date 80th anniversary, I can confirm the brand really masters the Bronze designs. Great video!

Do you have any pictures of the Patina on the 80th anniversary edition? Love the watch but I haven’t been able to find any of the patina after use.

@@biggieders2648I found one post on Reddit after about 8 months of use the bronze was starting to darken and parts were starting to stain it patinas incredibly
The Panerai Bronzo is my daily watch. I rock it with the army green rubber strap and I wears it everywhere. Diving, snorkeling, lake, pool, around town, etc so it has an amazing brown and green patina. I also love it for business travel because I can wear it casual or rock it with my suits and it never looks out of place. When you wear them properly and develop that national patina they look so freaking cool!
Man that Oris Brashear special is absolutely stunning, Oris really knows their way around bronze
I was all about picking up the Tudor Bucherer Blue and had my eye on it for a couple of years. I ended up with the Christopher Ward Bronze Ombre and have not regretted my choice at all.
That's crazy, last night I was looking for bronze watches and I said "I wish teddy had a list to watch" and here you are!!!!!!
I went for the C60 Trident bronze. Very impressed with it. The dial is stunning, and the quality and finishing is incredible. Can recommend.
I am wearing a Stowa Flieger 36mm in bronze right now and the combo works really well. The bronze is pre-aged so it doesn’t patina further and retains it’s color. They were late to the game but nearly the whole range including the Marine Original have bronze options now.

Man I’m was just looking at that watch! I’m trying to decide if I like or dislike the fact that it won’t patina further. Such a beauty of a watch. Enjoy
Oris actually introduced Big Crown in full bronze, as it happened just recently, I believe you've been already working on the video. But this model just works perfectly, and worth taking a look at. The bronze case seems here to stay for sure. Thanks Teddy for such a cool video👍
As someone who has been looking into bronze watches as frequently as of late, I should have known you would put out a top notch level video on the topic! Much appreciated!
Great video! You inspired me to look at the Glycine and Ch Ward models. Decided upon the Glycine Men's GL0321 Bronze Combat Sub w/ GMT and date complications! Just pulled the proverbial trigger because there are some great sales right now on that particular model!
One of my favorites - the Yema Superman Bronze $1400 USD
There are some amazing watches in that list. While I think metals like brass and bronze will go in and out of style, there will always be fans of these materials that aren't concerned with what is or isn't trendy. I personally love brass and bronze for the way they developed a patina with age, which looks especially amazing on vintage style watches.
Recently found and became obsessed with your channel. Would love to see a video of the thinnest luxury watches. Appreciate your work sir!
I can't wait to drive down and get my first luxury watch from you Teddy. Your videos have been a great source of calm for me throughout a VERY tumultuous time. Thank you! My favorite here is the blue Captain Cook!

Times are VERY tumultuous no doubt.. good thing is it's gonna get worse! Lol that'd be friggin sweet to drive down and buy your first lux piece from Teddy... what an experience. Please update when you do 👍🏻 *Don't mind the sarcasm, there is hope in Christ!
The Oris cotton candy line looks fantastic! The Rado doesn't look like bronze, but brass with that overall tone to the material, imo. Solid options, overall.
As always, great video with great content! Bravo et merci Teddy 👏🏻
I have had a Tudor Black Bay Bronze Bucherer Blue for 8 months now and the patina is mellow and reflects how I use it. The blue Nato strap works well but the vintage leather strap that it comes with as well takes it to another level. 2 watches for the price of one!
Go Teddy, love this guy, he does a great job showcasing the brands.
Great Video. I have owned Tudor BB Bronze for about ?4yrs now. Loved the bronze case with the brown dial. I actually like my leather strap compared to the newer bracelet
On the affordable side there is the bulova precisionist chrono in bronze that has quite a lot to bring to the table. Quartz movement, but also has a 262 kHz sweeping second hand like the other curv models
@jonsonnenschein1253

Exactly. 👍 I wonder why Bulova has no place in this review. Maybe because it doesn't fall into the elegant category.
Great video! Man! All of these amazing looking… one not mentioned that I really like is the stowa marine bronze.
I like the Oris options, the Radio and the Tudor with the full bracelet. Great video.
Great video Teddy! I have missed the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date 80th anniversary. The bronze case plus green dial is beautiful! It is my favorite watch of my collection. Regards
The Oris is definitely my favorite, it's not just the watch, but the story behind it. Carl Brashear story really motivate to keep going for what I want in life no matter the obstacles, truly a great man.
Nice selection of bronze models. I would add the traditional pilot watches offered by Dekla, a small German firm in Stuttgart. Both Type A and Type B traditional "flieger" designs in 40, 42, and 44 mm sizes are available with a variety of customizations including the dial and hand materials and colors. I own a Type A bronze flieger and it's a stunner, especially considering the price at well below $1000 with ETA and Sellita movements.
That gradual sunset in the background was cool. Very informative video too. Not into the bronze look that much but did note down a couple of them.
The Black Bay 58 is a definite winner for me in this category. Fun fact: it cannot be purchased anywhere in Switzerland (no Tudor boutiques 😕), I had to go all the way to Rome for mine… 😅
I have the Black Bay Bronze/brown, the original, it is a gorgeous watch and the patina is incredible. Took about a year to develop the deep character one expects from a bronze case, even here on the coast, but totally worth the wait. Wish I could post a pic here. It’s a big watch (my daily is a BB36);but with bronze, I think bigger is better.
Funny you should release this vid today - I was watching it at lunch, while waiting to get the watch just ordered on 1/31. Just got it! Was looking at Christopher Ward C60 Sapphire, but ended up going with the C63 Sealander Bronze, which I think they just came out with. Uploaded some real-life footage, if curious - a stunning piece.
Beautiful watches! Love your channel thanks for sharing the knowledge. I personally prefer the bronze look of most other watch material.
Great video, you have a new subscriber! Love bronze watches myself, I have a few micro brands, but also the Oris 65 Bronze & Steel with matching bracelet which has patinated in a really interesting way. I have also been lucky enough to get the Tudor BB58 Bronze boutique edition, and I have to say it’s every bit as good as I hoped. I have the original BB Bronze, and suffice to say I’ll be selling it.
Love the bronze Gylcine combat sub 42 and is definitely quality in my price range. The Black Bay fifty eight bronze with the riveted bronze bracelet though? ooooof that will age so nice! imo micro adjusting bracelet clasps are so great, love the content

My first bronze piece was the Glycine Airman in bronze
Would love to own one. I think bronze and its unique patina is totally aligned with horology and watch collecting. Love that Baltic!
Good selection ! I would have added some of the yema offering that does à great bronze version of the superman !
Great video as always Teddy, love the jacket.
I think the new Christopher Ward C60 Bronze Ombre Green with the COSC certified movement is a great looking watch worth a looking at. Brilliant value for the specification. Just ordered one!
Great video. Detail introduction.
Great selection, however the Zenith Pilot Type 20 40mm in bronze should, in my humble opinion, definitely have made the cut. As always, thanks for the video!

Purchased the Longines Legend Diver from you in Nov and I love it!
Omega Gold Bronze Seamaster Heritage! 9K Gold and Bronze in the same watch....just wish they would release a full metal bracelet in same alloy to compliment.
The new Oris pointer date in bronze looks stunning , a full bronze jubilee 😍 will definitely be getting one of those.

@@TeddyBaldassarre haha that's what I thought. It's definitely one of the best bronze watches released yet. Hope my local AD will have one in soon.
I purchased the Legend in green/bronze and am completely in love with it.
I love my bronze Dekla flieger type-b. I do like the Tudor 58 & IWC Spitfire!
I have the Glycine mentioned and really love it. Also, during Covid19 Bronze is a great material.
Speaking of availability when it comes to Glycine, im surprised the issue wasnt mentioned for Zelos. I sometimes feel you could get up the Submariner waiting list faster than getting your hands on the Zelos you want. Less the brand equity.
The combat sub is such a great piece. Fantastic entry level Swiss automatic. It gets a lot of wrist time from me.
Nice vid and nice list of watches..I love the bronze colour itself but not to sure about the patina. I also like the Omega seamster 300 in bronze-gold. Obviously it's pricey but very well made. And the material is supposed to patina a lot less too
Just picked up the Legend Diver bronze, w/ green dial. (Been wanting one since it came out, and I finally saw one at a hefty discount.) The BB58 is equally gorgeous, but I'm not sure I'd want a bronze bracelet... patina on the case is one thing, but a whole bracelet? That would be a bit much.
Wow that macro shot with that patina color black blue purple green was awesome. I’m modding a Seiko into looking like that Tudor black bay 58, but the in blue. I’ll be swimming with it in chlorine, salt water & fresh water; I wonder what mine will look like over time.
The bronze Aquascaphe with glossy black dial is even more stunning.
The IWC Spitfire is my favorite!!! I am also super intrigued in what watch were you wearing
Thanks for amazing videos.. Pease review Christopher ward C63 bronze watch. With the transparent dial it looks amazing. Also it has COSC certification which is hard to beat at that price point. Looking forward hearing your thoughts about it.
Another fine presentation! Could you please review the Seiko SPB239? Thank you.
Great vid Teddy. Any wait to own a bronze watch. Oddly opening with the Baltic kind of set the standard for value. Interesting. Lots to live!!
I love the idea of bronze divers, but didn’t want to drop too much money. I found a Heimdallr shark master with a green dial at a pawnshop for $20. So far I’m very pleased with my “investment”😁
Great idea and, as usually, professionally executed!

Great review Teddy. I've got the Glycine Combat Sub now for 2 years and It's an amazing watch. Also a lot of lume. Buckle isn't brone unfortunatly but overall, great value for the money. Any experience with the Seagull Ocean Diver bronze? An Oris in bronze for over $2.000 is a bit to much for me;)
I like good Bronze Divers. Especially from Elyssee and Zelos.Thank you Teddy Baldassarre for this review. Stay healthy everybody. Greetings from Germany
Not mentioned in this video but I did see the seagull 1963 has bronze variants including in the panda design if you're not into the original look. At half roughly half the price of that first watch you showed, it's pretty incredible what they're able to pack into those watches for the price

Boo China…
I have wanted a bronze watch for a few years now... great list.
I'll probably get a bronze watch at some point and it'll likely be from any of the ones you mention. I love the Oris Carl Brashear limited edition, Carl was such an incredible man and an inspiration to us all. I suggest anyone that has yet to hear about him to read up on his life.
Excelente video 👏.
it'll be nice to see the patina on any of these watches in a few years. I think that gives each piece a certain uniqueness .
I just love the look and feel of the Hamilton Khaki Field series. Great watch
I believe that it's sold out, and the price was a bit high imo, but the Bell & Ross 03-92 Bronze Diver was a striking combination of colors combined with a very thin case. I don't usually like BR personally, but that offering was very impressive.
I'm not a big bronze watch fan, but I think Oris does some fantastic bronze watches. I think the only 2 bronze watches I'd consider are the Oris Diver's 65 Bico and the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date
I thought for sure you would mention the Seamaster 300 in bronze gold. It's a stunner, and probably be the most resistant to tarnishing.
Thanks for this video cuz I'm looking to add one to my collection.

Christopher Wards bronze watches are amazing. Just ordered my C60 Bronze Ombre green COSC certified watch.
Thank you for this great video. What about the Yema Superman heritage bronze with black or red bezel? With a house made movement I think it’s a good value isn’t it?
Purchasing the Rado Captain Cook in bronze with the Brown Dial tomorrow.
Just got the Baltic Aquascaphe and it’s a stunner! The Spitfire tho 🔥🔥🔥
Hi Ted There’s something about bronze and sailing, right? I can recommend the Stowa Marine Bronze which comes in different sizes, all with ETA movements. I own the 36 mm version. I mean...modest size, enamel(-ish) dail, Roman numerals and a bronze case. It immediately reminds you of ancient instruments on ships. In other words, it’s a “deck” watch, but still dressy enough not to appear too tooley... My only complaint is that it won’t age in the way that most other bronze watches do. It has something to do with the mixing ratio when it comes to metals, I understand. Stowa has made this choice of making it look like a watch that’s been worn for a year or so, and it stays that way. On the other hand, I’m quite satisfied... Bronze and fliegers - hmm. It doesn’t seem like a real natural choice, but you’ve got some quite cool pieces here. Especially from IWC and Sinn😊
I can definitely recommend to have a look to the AQUATICO SEA STAR BRONZE( I own the full bronze version, not just the case but bazel as well) and is a terrific best buy if you are looking for a classy bronze diver. In addition the Leather strap provided by AQUATICO is superb...
I've got the Oris 65 bico... what a stunning piece
I like bronze watches too. Stowa Bronze Flieger and new Glycine Airman models made of bronze would fit this list perfectly. Great watches. Airman Bronze GMT is even better bargain than Combat Sub.
Just thought you should mention about the iwc chronograph, that is the watch Tom Cruiz used in Top Gun.
Thinking of adding a bronze combat sub at some point. Also really wouldn't mind a steel Airman, but sadly it seems almost impossible to find those anywhere these days.
I've been looking at the Stowa Flieger vintage bronze case 40mm. Dekla and Archimede have bronze Fliegers and, even a gmt. I've wanted a bronze watch and a Fleiger both for awhile, I'm done buying dive watches for now. It's going to be a fleiger. I'm actually kinda glad I didn't grab a bronze diver when I wanted to and have a glut of options now. Even the Steinhart and Yema divers are calling to me, I must resist.
Very good list. On your blog, you included a Bell & Ross, but it’s just OK. I don’t like Bell & Ross, but the belly tanker bronze is a great looking watch. Check it out.
It would be nice to have a little video on maintenance of bronze watches because of the specifics of the metal used.
Would have liked to see the Yema Superman GMT in bronze.

The Christopher Ward C60 Trident looks sensational. Rado and Tudor as well.
Love bronze, I was sure you were going to mention the Hamilton Pilot bronze! It's a Beauty
You left out the Omega Seamaster 300 and Speedmaster Chromascope, both in bronze-gold. Both beautiful pieces.
You know! Bronze is growing on me! I kinda love it! I just can’t deal with that patina. 🙈 but I love the warmth of bronze! 😍😍
@riothero313

What's nice is you can basically control it. You can clean and polish it and make it shiny. You can mildly clean it with vinegar to slow patina or you can use salts and oils to rapidly patina it.
I was just thinking about Bronze watches earlier this week. And now this video drops from Teddy… coincidence 😉 I think not… I really dig the Oris cotton candy dials and the Tudor Black Bay 39mm ohh and that green Dial IWC … pfffftt decisions - decisions.
I personally own a Tudor Bronze and am In love with it
Good cross section of bronze watches on the market. Sad to see Montblanc’s offerings skipped over, since they are awesome in the metal. I have a 1858 chronograph with the champagne dial and can’t get over how much I love the thing whenever I put it on.

if he did a video on that watch it would be great!
I usually don’t consider much microbrands, I love the bronze look and bigger size for divers and I was thinking about saving (for a couple years lol) to get a Panerai but DAMN that Zelos is incredible! Specs, looks, uniqueness… outstanding and the price tag was almost unbelievable. It will be veeeeery hard to resist

I’m wearing one of the original hammerhead 1000m models today, and I can tell you that they are worth every cent, times 3! Can’t get better CS than Zelos either. Elshan, the owner, is one of the most helpful people I’ve ever spoken with. He is dedicated to putting out a good product, and stands behind them.
Thanks Teddy Bronze became very popular. I like it. Eterna Kontiki bronze is very nice
Though similar to Panerai, when I think of the first brand to go all in, and produce several bronze models early on, I think of Anonimo. In fact, when I picture a typical Anonimo watch, I think of a bronze watch. I’ve wanted a bronze watch for over a decade, but still have yet to get one.
Zenith Pilot Type 20 Extra Special in bronze is missing from this list. It's retro look matches very well with bronze (unlike many modern style watches shown in this video). My choice is 45 mm blue one.
I was going to ask where the Zenith was on this list, then I saw you covered this example in the blog post. The one that grabs my attention the most is the Oris Big Crown ProPilot Big Date Bronze. I don't know why, but it looks just right and is spec'd rather nice, standard Sellita movement in an Oris aside (or does that make it, perhaps, more serviceable?).
@DarthMalaks_Missing_Lower_Jaw
2 жыл бұрын
Definitely more serviceable and cheaper to do so
I wasn’t a fan of bronze watches but the Black Bay and the red Rado just changed my mind… damn!
As always another great video. I have a general question that is if a person swaps a Rolex bracelets for another Rolex bracelet would it hurt the value? or if one was going to have a black dial explorer 2 service would it be bad to change the dial to a white one? TIA
Glad to see Christopher Ward on the list. That watch is next on my list, because they just released C63 Bronze and I'm waiting on it to be delivered, well, any moment today. I think the whole brand can't be matched for that price range
