11:54 can we take another look at this hand? This hand has two Aether Hubs and two Guide of Souls. The way I see it, we can essentially cast our cards any way we want during the first two turns. T1 Hub Guide. T2 we can play Phalia or 2nd Guide and Discharge. Discharge has outs of generating more energy for future turns, Phalia has outs of blinking a guide or a future creature to keep generating energy with the guides. I don't think this hand is a mulligan

Here it's much better than in Mardu!

This deck seems like a nice choice with less storm in the format now, blood moon is really threatening. Jeskai probably still does pretty well into it if they have 2-3 celestial purges but other than that it looks nice

Would love to see you play the grixis tempo list that got 2nd place in the 5k modern open

regarding ocelot and ragavan ive been playing boros energy since mh3 dropped and have tried several different lists and ragavan seems to be a more consistent threat. ocelot only really feels good when you start comboing off with multiple ocelots and ajani

I wonder if the only energy card in red prowess is amulet, does it still worth it? Or is reckless impulse better in this case

Do you think wizards cut Nadu or Shuko in case ? I think that without Shuko the deck remain strong but not broken.

Why do you prefer blood moon over magus? I feel like neither nadu nor tron have good creature removal but dont have enchanment hate. I was also thinking about such a list and was gravitating to magus

Hey Mengu! On your last game against UR Kiki I think you could have letal damage by copying the Ajani with reflection instead of the token. Since Ajani is legendary you sacrificed the new ajani to flip the original one, having four creatures in play (reflection, saga token and two cat tokens). Then, activating Ajani’s +0 ability would create a new cat and ping your opponent for 5 damage. Did I miss something that would invalidate that play?

Ending bad, galvanic just better, solitude bad trades poorly with all the threats atm

@@AndreaMengucci I suppose it depends. Unholy Heat, PrisEnd, Solitude are all phenomenal answers while Monkey, Grief, Murktide, and Yawg were some pretty extreme threats. And Fury ended up weirdly being both an insane threat (via scam effects) and answer

@@pga128 Fair enough, but there's plenty of other extremely powerful threats in MH2: Saga, Grist, DRC, Dauthi, Scion, yada yada. The answers were definitely better in MH2, but the threats still feel far more powerful

Ya boros is better than Mardu lol but ocelot pride is over preforming and has been better than ragavan for me…. That being said blood moon in main has its good matches but idk if I like 3 in main lol maybe 1 and 4 phlage lol

Considering just the opening 7, your mana for the early turns relies exclusively the survival of the t1 guide. If the guide is killed, then you need to draw land necessarily to curve out, which is just relying on luck. I think his point was that you should not keep hands that lead to such variability.

@@giroppa99 if you are terrified of losing all the energy you can wait to play guide til t2. Hold up galv discharge t1. then you can respond to a removal spell on guide with galv discharge and gain 3 energy which should set you up to have plenty of mana This is all worst case of not drawing a land and opp not playing a creature. Hand was great just slightly awkward

I would say Boros Energy is bad vs Nadu, although this list can compete thanks to Blood Moon.

Boros energy isn’t good against Nadu. But wizards will soon ‘bolt the bird’ with a ban and all will be good for Boros energy lol
