The BEST Bike Camper in the world | The GoCamp

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Vote now on, www.kampeerencaravanjaarbeurs...
And no, it can’t float ;)
But:
It is based on the impeccable GoLo cargobike and has therefore unparalleled ergonomics and comfort, both while cycling and camping!
With the limited width of only 88cm making it ideal for cyclingpaths or shared roads without intruding on other traffic. The e-assist makes sure you can reach your destination fully relaxed while still being charged up by the 400Wp of solar on the roof!
The GoCamp is a module that fits the GoLo cargobike, the GoLo can therefore easily be used for business on the week days and leisure during the weekend. Besides the 400Wp solar it is equipped with a 1000Wh battery, 250W e-assist and even a 60W fridge. Combined this can deliver up to 50km of free range every day! Fully off grid, fully sustainable travel
It has enough luggage space for one person, with a bed of 85 x 220cm, multifunctional table, foldable canopy, mosquito mesh, window and ventilation all around. While seated inside it is even able to host two people for some games and a drink!
This is the first GoCamp and in its first weeks it already travelled 500km through the Netherlands, but these are most definitively not the last kilometers!
For more information about the GoLo cargobike and the GoCamp module visit us on:

Love it, we should have some for the homeless with insulation and heating source. A moveable shelter better than the over night shelters where they end up back on the street. Beautifully done. Congratulations.

Why is there always someone bringing out the homeless in these projects? Charity is ok, but what they need are jobs and affordable housing, not campers or glorified tents.

@@moteroargentino7944 - I understand your reaction however the must be a middle situation between the lacking housing system, the shortage of longer staying shelters or it is a constant failure as we see it globally. This provides protection from the elements, free mobility and dignity. Would prevents people from freezing to death in a portable toilet, like what happened during Covid-19 due to a curfew where the shelters allowed no one a man 42 yrs old died. In Canada during winter approx. 100 homeless die from hypothermia but the news don't report those stats. Sweeps of encampments leave the homeless with nothing, that's why I think this is better than tents.

After some serious bad luck with an Alleweder 6 and coming to the conclusion that a Milan GT didn't fit my use cases either, I started rigorously looking into bikes that follow the "form follows function" principle. I exchanged my A6 with an ICE Full Fat, and added a Veltop roof to my HP Scorpion. This combination currently nails everything I need pretty accurately. However, having begun camping this year, and striving for the most possible comfort, I am currently looking into a cargo bike that is capable of comfortably doing long trips and also hauling a week's worth of groceries and drinks. The best-fitting vehicle for this seems to be the PONY4 currently, but the GoCamp is a strong contender. With the sleeping compartment being removable you don't have the disadvantages of a camper car. Only there should be some means to secure the load. My bike trailer I am currently using to transport my camping gear has a plastic tub as used on construction sites. It should be possible to put one or two of these tubs into the sleeping compartment while travelling, having them secured properly, and when separating the two parts, you should be able to secure the tubs to the cargo area to transport your stuff. Plus, it should be possible to use more than one battery. 1000Wh sounds quite OK, I reckon it should be possible to go 80 to 100km when the sun is not shining with it, but I always take one more battery with me than I need, and with 220V also derived from that power source, 2000Wh won't be too low.

Really nice bike. But it seems like they have something against having a cab over the driver seat. A cab over the driver seat while riding can help for hot sun, and for rain or showers, etc... at the same time help with the aerodynamics, and space for another solar panel.. Then you won't need that little tent thing that covers your feet in camp mode, because the cab will already be covered. They forgot to show a dog in the back while it was riding up, and then later riding away. It needs a dog window. lol Or a kid seat and window, or both.

After a year of experience with my bicycle camper, that I build by myself, I can say: The shown camper is done very well, many good ideas implemented. But way too high. This will be difficult with wind from the frontside. Why save length if you then have to unfold a tent? If you're going to build a bike camper, don't combine the major disadvantage from the bike camper and the tent. If the tent is folded up after rain, it gets moldy spots and the humidity in the car rises. Some good ideas, but some impractical in everyday life.

  • @HansKeesom

    @HansKeesom

    Жыл бұрын

I agree with the too high in the sense that while driving it should be more aero, so sitting behind the driver Maybe that can be done by allowing the side panel to fold inward at the top, forming an upsidedown V shape, so a tent shape. The roof might have to be detachable like a lit and be stored on one of the sides of the V.

Quad bicycles are still illegal on USA roads. A loophole design would be a trike pulling a trailer. If the hitch is fixed in the rolling axis of the trailer, then this is a very stable design through turns. A trike is also lighter and nimbler than a quad for decoupled runs.
