Loving the content mate, as someone who's just getting into the hobby these top 5 best and top 5 worst are helping me get an understanding of what's considered powerful and weak! Maybe a top 5 easiest to learn/start playing warbands would be good?

@Delsin071 Even “best” has a degree of subjectivity based on criteria applied. “Fun” would be quite the funky concept to explore for sure!

Thanks for this video! Finally, a new Warcry video talking about the bespoke teams. I love the new warbands, they fixed the issue on them being worse than the AOS team, my fav is your fav, which is the Vulkyn Flameseeker. The other isn't there but Darkoaths are my fav even if they are very fragile on chaff, but hey, I once took out stormcasts with the Slaughterborn (axe) and my opponent was scared of them. (I understand why Darkoaths aren't there though, probably them being fragile and many trap units. )

I actually really enjoy Darkoath and they have a few interesting tricks - especially with resource manipulation and generation. They do feel a bit undercooked though!

@@wargamesontoast Yeah its true, it does feel like they need something to help them out with their Vow Fulfilled ability.

Idoneth Deepkin have a displacer, Tammael, in the Elathain Bladeborn group for 85 pts. granted, with a much less impressive stat line. Thanks again for another great video :D

I play Royal Beastflayers, I wouldn't put them on top tier but they are ok. The one I'm surprised to not see there is the Darkoath Savagers warband. Awesome leader (one of the best allies), awesome fighters, awesome abilities.

I like Darkoath. I find them super fun to play. I just don’t think they are as “good” as others on this list. I have a few other ideas to go over in future videos, because “best” is such a vague term. There is a “best” video where Darkoath absolutely make the cut, and I want to explore that more and have a cool time doing it. There’s so much stuff to talk about in Warcry and you better believe I’m going to keep talking about it :)

My friends and me had terrible losses with royal beastflayers. Main reason: the whole warband is nothing without the boss. If this model goes down, you have basically a squishy nothing left. Therefor it is also too squishy

They are difficult and have a very specific style play for sure. The Barons are, imo, more valuable in many situations since they allow your guys to move on the cheap.

So how do I get the Iron Golems to he good?

They have a lot of build potential, and they are quite strong as a one box faction. If you were to expand beyond that you’d likely want to go into counter control with a bunch of Legionaires rocking shields or heavy on the Armator since that dude is very efficient for his points

What does “bespoke” mean in context of “bespoke Warbands “?

Warbands that are exclusive to Warcry - so box sets designed for Warcry instead of Age Of Sigmar or Underworlds sets that have been given Warcry rules :)

Absolutely love Toast’s content. Horrified at the exceedingly abundant (and often misused) use of that word nowadays. Bespoke Warbands would be tailor-made and look different for everyone, not the same out of the box. But I digress, and am old and NOT the word police. Great videos all the same.

Iron Golems are outstanding - but their box is a smidge pants so they got the honourable mention instead of a place in the top 5

The gorgers r fun.. But so fragile with treasure limitations and only 5 models? No chance they're top 5 single box warbands.. Far too many missions they simply auto lose on numbers

Nobody said you one-box them…allies exist to shore up that weakness, and If you do one-box them they are still solid. Destruction soup always does work

@@wargamesontoast aha.. I thought 1 box bespoke was part of the criteria here.. I'm working on a list from Aytan with Hrothgorn and a couple of his minions n 3 gorgers that's a bit more flexible

@JimCrimmins oh if absolutely is part of the criteria, and I genuinely think one-box Gorgers are totally solid. They make the list for other reasons though - like being very funky with soup. Hroth is awesome with them for sure!

Are we talking about Bespoke OUT OF THE BOX, or just Bespoke in general? My Hunters of Huanchi winning spree have something to say, only using bespoke models BUT, using 4 Claws and 3 Hornblowers.

We are talking a spectrum, so hunters are excellent, but don’t hit my arbitrarily set criteria of: good out of the box (one box), good when expanded (allies, more boxes), and competitive. Hunters are not great in one-box, so they got the drop from the top 5 but still got the honourable mention :)

@@wargamesontoast Well, my Hunters ARE from One box, but with kit-bashing :D (and 3D printed Claw Shields an amazing guy made it free online, it looks EXACTLY the same as the original Claw Shield, it's great)
